As it's summer I'll forgo my usual Dark & Stormy for a big jug of Pimms with strawberries, sliced orange and cucumber, mint and plenty of ice.

I'm good with the wine thanks. Or perhaps a hot toddy. Although I've never been quite sure what a hot toddy is.

I do feel sorry for these kids who're getting sucked into all this. Mine isn't but I worry he seems to be going in the opposite direction, I do have to put him back in his box every so often.

Sympathies SpringCrocus. This generation have been so badly served by adults pushing untruths as facts at them. My DD is older and after initial hostilities, now gets it.

Hello... I wander around on what bloody well was FWR quite often but I've never Bluestocking'd before. Will set myself up on a quiet table with a pint of lager and a packet of crisps for starters.

I think I'll get some salted peanuts to go with this wine, or do we have olives? I fancy some olives.

I keep a range of tapas stuff in the house. I've got that lovely fried corn as well as the broad beans - olives with tiny cornichons and onions and slivers of torta.

If you can wait 30mins or so, I can grill up some chorizo and whip up a patatas bravas alongside some grilled peppers and courgettes plus some charred aubergine.

No, that wasn't me. It's pretty clear she considers herself NB though, going by stuff I've seen on her Instagram. She has never said that to us or requested that we call her anything different though.

I'd like some cheese and onion crisps with my white wine, I think.

My current tipple of choice is a bison grass vodka, with fever tree tonic. It is lush.

Exactly, @SpringCrocus. Mine is nearly 16, stubborn as a mule and has inculcated her 13yo brother. They'll come around... probably.... eventually. That'll be another large glass of dry white for me please.
