Bragging about hitting women

My goodness this is terrifying.

Crowing on r/MtF about how great it was when a woman was slapped in the face when someone thought she might be about to use a person's former name.

Lots of super supportive comments from the community. It was top trending.

The mods locked it after disobedient women objected.

This is locked due to a brigade from r/GenderCritical. Your daily reminder that TERFs are parasites. The ban button is getting a workout today!

They call anyone who disagrees with them a nazi, whilst using techniques that nazis themselves would be proud of, such as inciting violence, gaslighting, compelled speech, no debate etc etc

I find their lack of self awareness astounding.

Aaarrgghhh · 10/08/2019 17:31

I don’t understand this outing bullshit. If being trans is okay then why is it an issue to be acknowledged?

MsMcWibble · 10/08/2019 14:42

The definition of nazi seems to be stretching. Who gets to define it these days?
It's never ok to use violence. A male bodied person hitting a woman is vile, whatever way you look at it.

SunsetBeetch · 10/08/2019 13:42

Just another TRA who thinks "violence is good, actually".

Outing a trans person in public, depending on the context, can actually be construed as inciting violence against them.

But the "girl" who got hit hadn't said anything. It was an unprovoked attack.

And, incidentally, have you actually had a look at this individual? No one would think they're female.

SophoclesTheFox · 09/08/2019 20:00

Thank you, turtles and just another

It boggles me how many people think that’s a good level to have a debate at: who “deserves” to get punched. Humans are better than this.

FermatsTheorem · 09/08/2019 19:34

So it would appear, Lang. It's quite jaw-dropping. Women, know your place. Or as the Bewilderness would have put it "women: you have all the rights you need - the right to remain silent."

OvaHere · 09/08/2019 19:29

Quite Lang

LangCleg · 09/08/2019 19:19

So we're allowing the promotion and celebration of VAWG for non-compliance around here now, are we?

Meanwhile, women are prohibited from using acronyms that men don't like.

MNHQ - FGS, some heads need wobbling up there at Mumsnet Towers.

AnotherAdultHumanFemale · 09/08/2019 18:53

The antifa links don't surprise me at all. They act so similar. Brainwashed, entitled, self righteous, hive mind, angry, aggressive, thuggish, threatening and unable to debate issues openly, fairly and respectfully.

If tomorrow they decided that the sky is green and the sea is pink and anyone who disagrees is a hateful seaphobic bigot, they would justify violence against 'seaphobes' too. No questions asked, no critical thinking allowed.

AnyOldPrion · 09/08/2019 18:52

From the same poster. His wife’s grandfather failed the brave and stunning test. Wonder if anyone slapped him....

It’s never ok to physically attack someone because of their beliefs. That is not how a civilised society functions.

If you end up in a place where you think it is ok, you have been brainwashed into a terrible worldview which enables you to dehumanise and brutalise other people and worse still, to persuade yourself that it’s a moral activity.

This sums it up perfectly. We need this on t-shirts, posters, banners, everywhere. It seems some people have been brainwashed into thinking violence is ok.

This. So much.

FermatsTheorem · 09/08/2019 18:28

Blimey, how far down towards Australia is our new visitor? 1/4 of the way? 1/2 way? Did no-one ever tell them that when you're in a hole, you stop digging?

No, it is not acceptable to punch someone for wrong think. No, it is not acceptable to punch someone for what you believe they are about to say. No, it is not even acceptable to punch someone for what they have said.

Self defence against actual physical violence (real violence, not the "oops they said something I don't agree with" form of literal [sic] violence so beloved of TRAs) is the only acceptable circumstance in which to use physical force. And words do not justify force. Beliefs about a person's thoughts and what you think they might be about to say certainly do not justify force.

Bookworm4 · 09/08/2019 18:23

Why would this offend them, usually within 30 seconds they’re spouting about their journey 🙄 Doubt it’s a surprise.

SophoclesTheFox · 09/08/2019 18:20

It’s never ok to slap a “t*rf”, it’s never ok to punch a nazi.

Your head needs a wobble.

Pota2 · 09/08/2019 18:12

East I am aware of milshaking etc but it’s still not the same level of rage and vitriol that I see from trans rights activists. And of course, the milkshaking etc seems to be aimed at those who actually are racist etc. I see little hate towards actual transphobes and all of it directed at mostly left-wing women who do not accept that being born in the wrong body is a scientific thing but otherwise bear no ill will towards trans people, being largely concerned with protecting the rights of women- rights that were originally granted because women as a sex class were oppressed (and still are).

AnotherAdultHumanFemale · 09/08/2019 18:06

The only people who are behaving in a fascist, and therefore Nazi-like way, are people who are issuing rape and death threats to people who disagree with them, assaulting people and brandishing weapons.

Hmm I wonder who that could be?

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 09/08/2019 18:05

Hardly a stretch when you think what happened to Maria Mac.

East7thst · 09/08/2019 18:03

That’s certainly a stretch to make yourself look like a potential victim!

Lordamighty · 09/08/2019 18:03

Problem is society at large at the moment says the extreme feminists are the Nazis

No it damn well doesn’t. TRAs and their Aunt Lydia followers say that. Most of them are spouting off in an echo chamber & have no idea what the wider public think.

AnotherAdultHumanFemale · 09/08/2019 18:01

Another part of their ideology that is seriously alarming:

'Violence is wrong I suppose, unless I decide the person is a nazi, then it's ok, in fact you'd be wrong not to punch them!'

They also use the term nazi to describe anyone (often middle aged women) who doesn't agree with them, ie. not a nazi in any way shape or form.

They assume that they are morally righteous and just, so get to decide who deserves violence and who does not.

Frightening.

SunsetBeetch · 09/08/2019 18:00

I don't think you should punch anyone except in self defence.

"Milkshakegate" and antifa punching nazis has already led to innocent people getting hurt (a war veteran, an elderly man, a POC, a journalist).

East7thst · 09/08/2019 17:49

Nah I would have just cussed your nan out!

I mean you can’t just punch people willy nilly obviously
