In the Scottish Parliament today Joan McAlpine MSP asked the Scottish Justice Secretary whether Police Scotland and the Scottish Court Services record incidents according to the alleged perpetrator's birth sex of self-declaration.

The Justice Secretary confirmed that Police Scotland and the court and tribunal services do indeed record suspects according to their self-identified gender and that Police Scotland require no evidence of certification as proof of gender other than a person's self declaration.

Good for Joan. Not good for Police Scotland.
I'll put up a link to footage when I get one.

It's simply hiding vawg stats, because the violators of the world cannot allow the deaths statistics to be shouted from the rooftops, if it's done under the guise of being 'woman' it equalises, falsely

Joan fights back. She really gets it

@JoanMcAlpine
It's not a good look to attempt to bully and shame another woman simply because she welcomed a discussion about the consequences of replacing biological sex with self-declared "gender identity"

Another article on the skewing of crime stats. It's a bit brief but at least it's getting the issue out there

I wish one of these articles would point out what the DM said about sexual crimes committed by "women" has actually massively increased over the past few years.

So little dot joining

Poor old “Brian Dempsey” has shown up yet again in the btl comments to repeat the same old lie that anyone who questions ANY of the pillars of trans ideology “thinks that we are defined by our genitals.”

Honestly, you’d have to be thick as two short planks to believe that feminism is a movement aimed at reducing all women can be to their body parts. Which is why TRAs wanting to call women “menstruators” and “cervix-havers” is so, so telling.

Six were convicted of rape, 37 of sexual activity with or involving a child, one of sexual grooming, 35 for internet child pornography offences and four for exposure and voyeurism.

Trans Crime UK lists 23 sex offences convictions in 2016.

transcrimeuk.com/2016-convictions/

11 of those are using a female name. We can pretty much assume that these will therefore have had their crimes recorded as female. It could be all 23 for all we know. And we also know that this website relies on press reporting so is far from complete.

Therefore, at the lowest reasonable estimate, 11 of 78 female sex offfences convictions achieved in 2016 were not crimes committed by women. That's 14%. The lowest reasonable estimate.

boatyardblues · 14/03/2019 18:09

Let’s not forget the media reporting guidelines which also serve to obfuscate and conceal the true nature of these crimes.

theOtherPamAyres · 14/03/2019 17:03

This isn't just about the men who are imprisoned.
It's not just about the ones that were prosecuted either.

This is about all ARRESTS/Summonses/complaints in all crime and nuisance categories - from 'drunk and disorderly' to domestic violence, from neighbour disputes to possession of indecent material involving children. And everything in between.

Crime figures are unreliable now. It's might be easy to rectify the serious ones involving imprisonment - not so easy to rectify all those other crimes, misdemeanours and the ones that were proceeeded by summons.

What a mess. Good for Joan - asking the questions that politicans should have been asking all along.

Vixxxy · 14/03/2019 17:00

Oh, just sen Clovens post. Yeah, so double already it seems.

Vixxxy · 14/03/2019 16:58

And yet the papers have been asking for a number of years “why have women got so violent?”

Quite.

I can see a HUGE spike in 'female' sex offenses. Like, meaning at the very least double the usual number.

Perfect, Betty! POGD it is.

BettyDuMonde · 14/03/2019 15:00

Can we start using POGD (Prison Onset Gender Dysphoria) to describe the phenomenon of sex offenders ‘coming out as trans’ on arrest/while incarcerated?

Times, 'Letting criminals self-identify gender ‘putting women at risk’

(extract)
"Joan McAlpine, a fellow SNP MSP, had raised concerns that sexual offences are disproportionately perpetrated by biological men and asked whether self-identification would therefore lead to a “misleading” rise in the number of women recorded as sex-offenders. Official statistics show that 1,007 men were convicted for sexual crimes from 2017 to 2018, compared with 46 women.

Ms McAlpine, 57, said: “Aside from the statistical corruption, I cannot be the only woman who finds it deeply offensive that male sexual violence can ever be badged as a female crime.

“The Crown Prosecution Service in England and Wales take a similar approach [to the Scottish government] — it’s another example of self-identification being introduced by the back door in response to publicly-funded lobby groups.”

She highlighted the case of Katie Dolatowski, 18, a transgender sex offender who preyed on girls in public toilets in Fife and was housed in women-only accommodation after being convicted. Ms McAlpine said the policy meant Dolatowski was “recorded as a woman, when this person doesn’t even have a gender recognition certificate and is therefore legally male”. (continues)

re decision to house a male in female 'single sex' hostel:

(extract)
"She was released from Polmont young offender institution into women-only supported accommodation in Fife because she would otherwise have been homeless.

Asked how Dolatowski could pass a risk assessment to live in a women-only hostel having targeted two girls, a council spokeswoman said: “These are women, they weren’t girls.”

She added that the decision to admit Dolatowski to a female hostel was guided by the National Accommodation Strategy for Sex Offenders, which does not mention transgender people." (continues)

MillytantForceit · 14/03/2019 09:24

The change in unprecendented. There have been previous changes of status, such as the relatively recent definition of a child as anyone under 18, where previously there were juveniles under 16 and minors under 18 (or under 21 before 1969)

In these cases, the change is transparent and the trends can still be followed consistently.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 14/03/2019 08:58

I know Millytant and it's likely that there are some examples of that happening somewhere in that 6 "female rapes".

However, I'm not convinced that that would account for a sudden rise of 0-6. If it does, tbh that's an issue in itself given the conviction rates for actual rapes are at an all time low these days.

andyoldlabour · 14/03/2019 08:55

Interesting that the Daily Mail article showed images of a 27 year old female teacher who was jailed for having sex with a 16 year old pupil.
I am not easy about calling a 16 year old a child, because I and many others were and are working at 16. The teacher has clearly breached a position of trust, but the age of consent in the UK is 16.
If it had been a relationship between a 27 year old who was not a teacher and a 16 year old, then nothing would have happened.
The Mail is ignoring all the transwomen in women's jails who have committed sex offences as a male.

Datun · 14/03/2019 08:22

If you add the number of transwomen in prison for sex offences, to the number of women, it's half as much again.

Given that any of the 14,000 men in prison can identify as women, it's clearly nonsensical. Little wonder that Nic Williams could find that no one had actually counted and recorded all the prison inmates. The whole issue would have been glaringly obvious. Best not count them in case someone finds out, eh.

And what does pertinent to the crime mean? It doesn't get a lot more pertinent than the bloody statistics, does it?

And this 'stag do' example? That's the example they use on line to tell you If you are being discriminatory. It says you can't 'pretend' to be trans. Like being on a stag do and messing about.

As a provable example, it's laughable.

What fools these people are. Accepting protocols that they believe they can overlay with common sense. When it is not common sense that they are being bound by.

They wouldn't stand a chance of proving a bloke on a stag wasn't a woman, because he is as much of a woman as any other man.

Is it the premise that transwomen have a right to a private life, which includes not being outed?

Because that accounts for it.

I realise this only applies to GRC holders, not self identifiers. But it's where it has come from. And they are applying it to everyone.

Looking at Karen White, you're not allowed to say what you see.

What fools. I'm glad he looked so bloody defensive and sheepish.

MillytantForceit · 14/03/2019 08:09

A woman can be guilty of rape if she assists the rapist with a 'common purpose'.

RepealTheGRA · 14/03/2019 07:28

We really need to get the details of all the serious sexual crimes that "women" committed and find out if any were men.

We do, this is impacting on what’s being taught in child protection training.
