I imagine if there is Glinner will post about it on his site.

SunsetBeetch · 16/11/2020 09:28

Several mics dropped here Grin

Cailleach1 · 16/11/2020 09:27

Deacon: Back to the topic of the thread - I wonder if glinner will have anything to post soon?

Yes, I was trying to go back to see what the thread was about in the first place and why it had been pushed so off track.

Is a court case coming up?

IwishNothingButTheBestForYou2 · 16/11/2020 09:23

Why was this thread suddenly resurrected by dreeple?

the lives of everybody in the GC movement will change overnight.

Why? The lives of TRAs didn't change overnight after the attack on Maria MacLachlan, or the balaclava-clad mob swarming of the Jam Jar pub in Bristol.

Strange how this pearl clutching about so called extremism on KF doesnt extend to posting on MN. What with this being such a 'transphobic' site and everything.

Hypocrites.

SophocIestheFox · 16/11/2020 08:48

I wonder if it’s just as simple as: right wing is bad and I don’t like it. GC feminists are bad, and I don’t like them. Terrorism is bad and I don’t like it. Therefore all these things are the same, and bad, and I don’t like them.

Maybe it’s no more or less than that.

Or the old stalwart, accusations are admissions, to certain people.

ByGrabtharsHammerWhatASavings · 16/11/2020 08:44

Since someone is apparently trying to say "mumsnetters/GC people use KF, therefore evil" I think it'd be worth their time to go check out the video by TRA darling Contrapoints entitled "incel" where Contrapoints themself says that the LGBT section of 4chan (yes apparently there is one) is dominated by non passing, incel rhetoric using transwomen. I assume that particular fact doesn't qualify the entire Transwoman population for guilt by association, or make them responsible for any future alt right terrorism that originates there, so maybe have a think about why reading KF is enough to damn all radfems. Even better, ask yourself why all the examples of transwomen actually committing acts of violence and sexual violence are constantly dismissed as "isolated incidents" that must never be connected or analysed in the context of male pattern violence, whilst women simply looking up the evidence of that violence are the ones castigated. Can you not see how absurd that position is?

Datun · 16/11/2020 08:43

@SophocIestheFox

Nice, standwitch

I’m still shaking my head over this. I can’t imagine JJ seriously, honestly believes that gc feminists are a couple of clicks away from committing terrorist acts, so what’s the actual game here? Get this thread pulled? Smearing by association? Get us wrong footed with lengthy explanations of why we’re not terrorists, then flip that into some sort of “no smoke without fire” narrative?

Baffling.

It appears to me to be another self defeating attempt to stop women doing something/talking about something.

Obviously, anyone who was going to, immediately checked out KF as soon as they were told not to do so under any circumstances, or else.

As far as I know Hayden themself is on there.

Cailleach1 · 16/11/2020 08:42

So, what some people are disingenuously calling 'doxing' is actually the reporting of public available information. Even information the person who claims someone is doxing them, has made available themselves.

Do they attack themselves for 'doxing' themselves in the first place?

Winesalot · 16/11/2020 08:36

I think jj perhaps like to forget that the extremism shown by transactivists is very very clear across social media platforms. Extremism and hatred. Gifs with pointed guns are not made righteous because of the pastel flag behind it. Gifs featuring baseball bats wrapped in barbed wire or spikes are not righteous if they are painted with pastel flag colours. The violence against women is not righteous if the rape threats are made by someone with a ‘girldick’.

Get a grip. The hate and extremism displayed completely out in the public without censure by those who hate women is alarming. And no one is denouncing it because of the power of that cancel culture that has developed.

The extremism you talk about jj, isn’t from women posting on mumsnet. You know it.

Maybe you should ask yourself just who is contributing to this type of extremism hidden behind a flag though? And what is the community doing about the extremists?

Cailleach1 · 16/11/2020 08:32

As, those in prison with convictions for sex crimes.

StandWitch · 16/11/2020 08:31

About the alleged “doxing”: the posters over on the Farms find info posted voluntarily by their subjects.

Or to put it another way, 'doxing' is what the newspapers do every day. When a man gets put on trial for rape then he is 'doxed'.

There is legitimate and morally justifiable public interest in 'doxing' certain people. Some other forms of 'doxing' are not justifiable and have no public interest defence.

If you look at the thread here on Jane Fae here:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3374614-John-Ozimek-now-Jane-Fae-on-women-feminists-and-victims-of-pornographers

then there are 'dox' on Jane Fae's past pronouncements. Having sunlight on said 'dox' is clearly a good thing when we consider Jane Fae's words today as a self-described 'feminist'

Cailleach1 · 16/11/2020 08:29

Of course, sex crimes are overwhelmingly perpetuated by males.

SophocIestheFox · 16/11/2020 08:26

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2020 08:21

So it is not sufficient to say 'why do some GC women look at Kiwi Farms' but rather to ask why books are pulled from circulation on the demand of someone on Twitter, and why sex predators are elevated above victims in the current hierarchy.

YY.

Good post, Standwitch, very informative

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 16/11/2020 08:12

About the alleged “doxing”: the posters over on the Farms find info posted voluntarily by their subjects. I don’t recall anyone who has ever admitted to gaining info by nefarious or illicit means. Don’t want anyone to find and distribute your personal information on the internet? Then don’t post it, you fool

SophocIestheFox · 16/11/2020 08:09

It’s just totally off-the- reservation bonkers to suggest that mumsnet feminist forum users discussing women’s rights and gender issues are in danger of being groomed into or participating in nefarious right wing terrorist plots against gender non conforming people.

I’ve seen some twisted nonsense on here in my time, but that really takes the biscuit.

StandWitch · 16/11/2020 07:58

That 'awful' website set up to dox and bully trans and disabled people and which has been directly linked to at least one suicide as well as the Christchurch shootings?

Don't think that's quite right, mate. The Christchurch shooting video was streamed on Facebook, that trillion dollar behemoth which helped Boris & Trump get elected.

The Christchurch shooter was not a KiwiFarms member.

KiwiFarms members download stuff from Facebook and other social media sites and re-host it in on their site. Often that stuff is subsequently deleted from the original source. This is the case with the Christchurch video.

KiwiFarms is not a primary source.

Sites such as 4chan are known as primary sources for those committing terrorist acts, since they have discussion boards where far-right ideology can be directly discussed. KiwiFarms otoh is devoted to the discussion of 'dox' of various kinds.

I don't think the Samaritans consider it appropriate to say things like 'Kiwi Farms made that person kill themselves', and trying to weaponize suicide like this is not really helpful.

You may well come to rue the day some GC people decided to get involved with websites like this - and I know there are mumsnet posters winding people up about trans people on there. It only takes one far right lone wolf attack on LGBT people to be linked to mumsnet or gender critical activism and the lives of everybody in the GC movement will change overnight.

Lol ok.

Mumsnet does not have a purity test to join. Neo-Nazis can sign up and register. So can trans rights activists. Male mass murderers. Anyone.

Some of the people posting on Mumsnet will have committed dreadful crimes.

As I understand it, the subject of this current thread has filed a number of lawsuits against women, and in the past some detail of the subject of this thread's past deeds could be found on Twitter, which is a site which contains many Nazis, paedophiles, illegal pornography, incitement to murder, and so on, but also lots of normal men and women. However the Twitter rules were changed over time to protect 'identity', and threads about this person went 'poof', because unlike Mumsnet, where if a poster is banned, it might be with just one single deletion, a Twitter ban nukes everything.

So over time those who would seek to document the abuse and misogyny of certain trans rights activists would find their posts wiped out entirely.

Some of these posters went to Reddit, but the same thing happened. Reddit does not delete poster's posting histories, but instead entire subreddits are banned. If you wanted to discuss misogyny on Reddit, then you would have posted that in a radical feminist forum, which Reddit banned all of, due to campaigning by trans activists, who control many of the popular subreddits, including things such as 'actuallesbians'.

When these subreddits were banned ALL of the posts to them disappeared.

I understand that it is a long-term goal to do the same to Mumsnet's Feminism forum, though this has not yet happened.

So far there is no sign of this happening on KiwiFarms, which maintains 'free speech absolutism'. I.e. if you started a thread on KiwiFarms documenting a UK transgender activist's bad behaviour a few years ago then it would still be there now, along with all the Facebook screenshots and so on proving it. These screenshots might have first been posted to Twitter, but if you looked today on Twitter, it is likely that they would no longer be there.

So KiwiFarms ends up as the place where this is posted, not perhaps as first choice, but because transgender activists have successfully changed laws and policies to prevent it anywhere else.

If you were online 25 years ago or so then if you wanted to discuss something you would have gone on usenet, where, say, child pornography was freely distributed. However, that doesn't mean that usenet posters to 'soc.feminism' supported child pornography, downloaded it, looked at it, or were in any way tainted by the association.

Equally, the fact that a certain GC person might have discussed 'Stephanie Hayden' on KiwiFarms, because that is the only place this can be done without 'Stephanie Hayden' getting their post deleted, demanding user data, or similar, doesn't meant that said GC person supports all of threads or posts on KiwiFarms, any more than going on 'soc.feminism' in 1995 mean you supported newsgroups hosting bestiality or what have you, or indeed given that some of the posters on 'soc.feminism' might not have been feminists, mean that you even supported all the posts in that group.

A poster on Mumsnet saying 'have you seen the thread on Kiwi Farms' means nothing beyond 'I saw something interesting/alarming about this person on Kiwi Farms', it does not mean 'I support the personal ideology of the Kiwi Farms owner', or 'I support every thread on Kiwi Farms'
