As @R0wantree linked to on the thread on crossing out 'gender' for 'sex' on school forms, but this deserves its own thread.

Take a look at 'BISH' website for teens.

www.bishuk.com/about-you/whats-your-gender/

Has a helpful diagram. People called 'he' and who look masculine tend to be tough, active and independent. People called 'she' and who look feminine tend to be soft, emotional and passive.

He goes into schools and youth clubs and gives training to teachers on sex and relationship education with this shit! bishtraining.com/

"Our genitals are on a spectrum in terms of: how much erectile tissue sticks out (clitorises and dicks and inbetween); where the prostate is; where the wee hole is; whether the gonads are inside or outside; vagina size. Many people are in the middle of this spectrum with how their bodies are configured."

WTAF? There is a spectrum as to where the prostate is? that makes just as much sense as saying there is a spectrum as to where the uterus is between males and females ! Confused

"Currently I’m heavily involved in the DO … project. This is a campaign to make great sex and relationships education happen in schools." www.dosreforschools.com/

BISH and the DO SRE FOR SCHOOLS project are both sponsored by Durex and DO involves serious people who know about biology like the Family Planning Association, Brook and the National Association of Headteachers.

....I hope they were just not paying attention. I think we could bring it to the attention of their twitter accounts that they are supporting the promotion of sexism and absolute biological nonsense into schools.

That's utter bollocks.
Male bollocks which tend to be in the same place in most blokes, be they a lumberjack or someone who likes wearing pink

AngryAttackKittens · 09/09/2018 17:11

He does seem awfully determined to convince baby lesbians that they ought to be as obsessed with cocks as he is.

IfNotNowThenWhen1 · 09/09/2018 17:09

Clicked the link to the youtube channel BISH recommends in the lesbian advice link.

Remembering this is aimed at 14yo

Videos include stuff like
"penis packing - a secret lesbian kink"
"here's why this transwoman uses her penis duringsex"
"lesbian couple does strap on challenge"

ShockShockShock

I am actually astonished. Truly.
You know what, I have been around a bit, seen some things, known some nefarious people. I'm far from naive or easily shocked. I have always been open about sex, live and let live.
But this is fucking disgusting. He is an adult using porn imagery to talk to children about sex!
And yes, young teenagers know stuff (or they think they do) but they are not ALL viewing porn and oh so sophisticated. Some of them are just as awkward, nervous, tender and shy as we were at that age. If I was 14 looking at this I think I would have checked myself into the nearest nunnery and had done with it.
teens will talk, they will experiment, they will see things and think things, but it is not an adults place to get this involved with their sexuality!
WHO the fuck could be taken in by this shite?
He's fucking nonce. He wants locking up.

I'm writing to all the people Rowan suggested, and I am so not a letter writer. Maybe it's because I have an almost teen son but this really upsets me.

AngryAttackKittens · 09/09/2018 15:20

That whole "magic trick" thing Justin is doing in the how not to give advice to a young lesbian link is a bit "I have puppies in my van, would you like to come see them?"

There's something incredibly creepy about adults trying to adopt that down with the kids tone. Blech.

FloralBunting · 09/09/2018 14:57

You have no idea how many times the first thing that has popped into my head to post has been 'Jesus Christ!' and I have only stopped because it's blasphemy and I've crossed myself instead!!! But yes, I think Jesus is really probably not impressed with this at all.

That Lesbian sex advice page? Why don't you just admit that you have no idea what two women can do in bed together because you can't even grasp the concept? I mean, a YouTube magic trick? Good grief.

Loads of the frames have women waving strap ons >>in the shape of cocks! >> around.

It's Um. Not suitable for 14yo. In my opinion.

This guy obviosuly is part of the thing I read the other day >> queer theory sees boundaries as things to be broken down, all of them. Including age.

It is true that you need to be aware that children know stuff and not talk down to them,

This guy though has obviosuly watched so much porn from such a young age that he sees anything that isn't eg a woman getting gang banged by 50 guys and then havign to drink some piss, or whatever, as really tame and suitable for children.

++ Now I'm no dyke but I'm guessing that lesbians who us toys would go for ones that aren't shaped / detailed with veins etc as per a "realistic" penis?

NothingOnTellyAgain · 09/09/2018 12:10

Candidpeel -

I'm surprised he didn't say "give her a good fucking with your clitoris / penis which is likely to be 3 inches long".

Or "how about anal or some sex toys"?

That seems to be his go to advice for first time sex.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 09/09/2018 12:08

"Transgender pets usually fall into one of two categories: animals whose birth sex poses health issues (like Bishop, a German shepherd from Chicago who became Bishy to get rid of the stones lodged in his bladder and penis) or those with risks tied to being born intersex (Red, a California Pomeranian whose male organs were removed to reduce the chance of cancer).'"

Neither of these situations have anything to do with "transgender".

Candidpeel · 09/09/2018 11:48

Just one more from BISH:

This is Justin's advice to a lesbian asking about sex

www.bishuk.com/your-questions/ask-bish-how-should-i-have-sex-if-im-a-lesbian/

There is no "magic" in fact there is really nothing at all specific that can be said l at all. It's all just a mystery.

Because of course if you can't name female genitals, and you can't recognise that lesbian sex involves two women with female genitals so there is nothing at all to say!

How on earth this man is qualified is mind-boggling

I think we need to start a letter writing campaign to the DFE and Amanda Spelman at Ofsted about who is advising schools.

It may also be worth writing to Claude Knights.

She was head of Kidscape for many years and commented on the dangers of paedophiles being able to change their identity (by gender transition) in prison.
www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/3006679/paedophile-jailed-transgender-christyl-knight-christopher-nobile/

FermatsTheorem · 09/09/2018 08:37

Oh, so the Blue Cross didn't neuter my rescue cat because she'd already come in pregnant with a litter of unwanted kittens on the way due to owner neglect, they neutered her because deep down they realised she had a boy cat brain in an assigned-queen-at-birth body.

(FermatsCat is currently snuggled beside me purring which I think is her way of saying "frankly, I don't give a shit, so long as you keep the food coming, human slave.")

ScreamingBird · 08/09/2018 23:18

Benjaminbutton

It won't be long before the TRA's start applying this belief system to animals. "This is my dog, Misty. I know she has rather large testicles but she really is the most loving pooch ever, soooooo emotional". FFS!*

You reminded me of this utter nonsense -

'Dogs and cats are also going under the knife for hip replacements, heart surgery, even gender reassignment. Transgender pets usually fall into one of two categories: animals whose birth sex poses health issues (like Bishop, a German shepherd from Chicago who became Bishy to get rid of the stones lodged in his bladder and penis) or those with risks tied to being born intersex (Red, a California Pomeranian whose male organs were removed to reduce the chance of cancer).'

I haven't read the whole thread because I'm rushing but if no-one else has suggested it yet, I think we need to start a letter writing campaign to the DFE and Amanda Spelman at Ofsted about who is advising schools.
This nonsense has to stop. We are infecting children with poisonous drivel.

And this kind of bollocks is why I want to keep my children off social media for as long as possible. Batshit.

@discoverrb (Durex parent company) have responded on twitter (see pic)

" We are firmly committed to gender equality and are looking into the matter"

Maybe this is a good sign ? (although will have to see what they mean by 'gender equality') .

I think asking Durex to provide a video explaining how one puts a condom on a "short penis that some people may describe as a clitoris" would be a most excellent consciousness raising exercise.

Still can't believe that the British public are paying for this shithead to lie to children about their bodies via schools.

BettyDuMonde · 08/09/2018 16:02

And bad for contraceptive education!

NothingOnTellyAgain · 08/09/2018 15:42

When DH said "some of this might be OK for boys" he meant that it was written from a very male perspective and so they might relate...

Not that it was "good" in any way shape or form though.

Maybe I put it wrong. He meant that it obviously had a very male focus.

He is a very kind and gentle sort of a chap and we have 2 DDs one of whom is coming into this age >>> he was not impressed with the material Grin

I am thinking about getting in touch with Durex. This document says that the only difference between a clit and a dick is size (what about the whole ejaculating sperm point?) and that most people are "somewhere in the middle" ie we all have 2.5 inch "outies", both of these points are completely incompatible with the point and use of condoms Grin

I find the statement of obviously incorrect "facts" about bodies, made to children, with the aim of trying to get them to disassociate sexed bodies with gender ID, and therefore to break down, essentially, sexuality (homo / hetero and even bi to a degree as it doesn't exist either in a world where sex is irrelevant) really disturbing TBH. It's gaslighting and these are young kids we're talking about.

AngryAttackKittens · 08/09/2018 14:55

I mean, if the author hasn't had much success in sustaining romantic relationships then that's sad and all, but I really don't think projecting his own inadequacies in that area onto random teenagers is appropriate.

I disagree that this is good for boys. It's definitely not good for girls. It may be good for the author in a misery loves company sort of way, but frankly I'd rather he be unhappy alone than share his mental/emotional damage with a bunch of kids.

BettyDuMonde · 08/09/2018 14:19

Maybe we should all email durex and ask how to get a condom on a clitoris?

R0wantrees · 08/09/2018 14:09

Important to compare this the recent study by Jesicca Eaton (founder Victim Focus) on the influence of porn, & especially her work with children / young people.

'Beat the pussy up’ – the way we talk about sex with women'
(extract)
Where is this sexually violent language coming from?
Well, sorry to be the not-the-fun-kind-of-feminist, but its porn and societal misogyny. There is no doubt about where this is coming from. Work by people like Julia Long and Gail Dines has long told us that porn has become more and more violent, with Long (2012) arguing that over 90% of porn now features violence against women including hitting, slapping, kicking, choking, hurting, whipping and deliberately painful and extremely degrading sex acts." (continues)

"Professionals working with children and young people
If you are a professional, you can do absolutely everything I have listed for parents and you can also make it your mission to educate other professionals about the way language is changing to encourage the normalisation of sexual violence towards women and girls – especially as you may be working with young people you can influence through your direct work, counselling, youth work or in school sessions. I deliver porn workshops to children and trust me, they know WAY more about porn than you think. I learn something new about porn every time I talk to kids about porn. Don’t think that when you deliver your porn workshops in school, you will be shocking those teens – you will be talking to a large majority that have not only watched porn but have been significantly influenced by it. Seriously, I’ve taught teenage girls who have told me that they thought that having pubic hair was disgusting and weird because none of the women in porn have any. If you can’t face workshops about porn, build some on song lyrics and music videos – you will get all the same discussions. Teach other professionals, talk about the impact of porn, consider it in your line of work and if you can, talk to young people about porn and violence." (continues)

Read most of the activity pack last night.

It is very very clearly written by an adult man with an adult male view of sex.

The assumption that all children from 14 will be familiar with filmed porn and a wide variety of sex acts is dubious to say the least.

the author described wathing porn as a type of sex and also no different to watching the telly and no-one fusses about that.

It's not nuanced at all, not factual at all (all humans have "erectile tissue" that lies sowmehere in the middle between an erect penis and a clitoris? So about 2.5 inches is standard for most humans? Durex are sponsoring this???) and also teh author's voice in what they approve of (anal! toys! could be cool for your first time kids!) and what they disapprove of (romantic relationships. Possibly the author has baggage in that area :D).

In short it's utter steaming shit,
And reading it as a FEMALE person I felt very alienated.

DH said "some of this might be OK for boys" and there's teh problem.

It is a pro porn male centric document. Full of opinion, coercion, and gross factual inaccuracies.

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 08/09/2018 10:48

Female prostate?!
Ejaculation?!
Clitoral boner?!

This is all about defining women by terms associated with male anatomy or sexuality. It's disgraceful.
