Abuse of GC women on twitter (be warned graphic, disturbing)

Lily Maynard , a gender critical woman on twitter, has been sent an image of a dead body with the head extremely damaged. This is in response to her tweeting that there is no such thing as a “pink” brain.
I am sickened by this in particukar, and by the abuse on twitter generally of women who stand up and comment on gender. I think that this abuse of women is getting worse and needs addressing. I’m going to write to my MP , but I am also so angry with all the people who shut down debate on gender and who in doing so shore up the type of man who will send a woman images like this.
The whole transgender activist movement is out of control, riddled with violence and hatred of women and children. It needs to be stopped.

We need to vote on this issue, and tell our MPs this.

How is this happening? If this was against any other group then we would have government statements, huge police involvement etc. Instead it is open season on women.

Threat that if the same happens at Glasgow pride, GC women will be "battered" / "actually killed"

There were several attempts to find out their names by twitter by the "friendly" account Fuck TERFs and others.

Can't the police do anything about that Brennan thug?🤬

womensvoicesmatter · 09/08/2018 17:46

And another from the same TRA on the day of Pride, with picture of the women, to help the people who want to "fuck them up" to find them.

This is really sinister IMO.

womensvoicesmatter · 09/08/2018 17:44

This screenshot is from the day of the protest - transactivist inciting people at Pride to attack and intimidate the women from Get The L Out. It says.

"Ant trans allies at Pride London now need to step the fuck up and take out the TERF trash. Get in their faces. Make them afraid. Debate never works so fuck them up"

This gem is from the TRA who's taken the name of feminist Cathy Brennan.

More from Polly Shute, Director of Pride in London, attacking Get The L Out women and supporters on Twitter.

This is a Facebook screenshot from one of the women at the Pride in London action. Her role in the action was carrying a banner that said 'Lesbian = Female Homosexual'.

This screenshot shows Polly Shute, Director of Pride in London, who came onto her facebook wall to intimidate and harass her after the action.

Pride in London issued a public statement after the action stating that that they rejected what the action stood for and that the women showed an unacceptable level of bigotry, ignorance and hate. They went on to say that they were ‘working with groups who have offered support given this issue must be stamped out’.

This message is very clear, and is coming from the very LGBT organisations and media that have for years, advocated for lesbians (and indeed were often created by lesbians). It has been decided that same-sex attracted people are no longer welcome; "inclusivity" apparently, no longer includes women who reject people with penises as sexual partners.

The response from the woman Poly Shute was attacking was 'When Pride in London state that lesbians holding banners stating that lesbians are female homosexuals need to be ‘stamped out’. You’ve got to wonder what the f*ck is going on really.’ “

Indeed. What the fuck is going on?

Jeez. And yet the apparently accepted view by the 'experts' is that trans genderism is not a mental health issue.

Then what the hell is it?

If these TRAs are consider sane what does it take to get diagnosed with having mental health issues?

womensvoicesmatter · 09/08/2018 17:15

I'm going to post some more screenshots.

Both the ones I posted earlier, and the ones to follow, are all from one of the women in the brilliant Get the L Out demonstration, at London Pride this year. They show just a little of the abuse these women have received since.

Here's a video of the demo, for anyone who hasn't seen it:

R0wan, Jesus wept.
Absolutely horrendous.

Just had a look and I just found an APPG on sexual violence and an APPG on Sex equality too-

Rape crisis are the secretariat of the sexual violence APPG.
publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/180718/sexual-violence.htm

Fawcett provide the secretariat of sex equality APPG:
publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/180718/sex-equality.htm

I would suggest to everyone submitting that having sent your evidence of anti-woman abuse and threats and hate speech to he APPG hate crime, you could also send them to eg the sexual violence and the sex equality APPG’s email addresses too, to hopefully galvanise these APPGs and supporting charities a bit on this issue.

Also worth remembering that any MPs and Peers listed on a specific APPG page will be specifically interested in that topic, so they are also worth bearing in mind for who to write to in Parliament in future etc.

There’s also APPG women and work
publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/180718/women-and-work.htm

APPG Women’s health
publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/180718/womens-health.htm

And APPG women in the penal system
publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/180718/women-in-the-penal-system.htm

APPG on LGBT rights publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/180718/lesbian-gay-bisexual-and-transgender-rights.htm

Young people’s health APPG
publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/180718/young-peoples-health.htm

Young disabled people APPG
publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/180718/young-disabled-people.htm

Youth Affairs APPG
publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/180718/youth-affairs.htm

@swearyG and manfridayers, there’s also an APPG on Swimming Grin

publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/180718/swimming.htm

Anyway it’s a long list so I probably haven’t spotted them all there will be other relevant ones like around children’s issues, and local government and many others- but all are definitely worth corresponding with (as well as writing as a constituent to your own MP- that’s the really crucial one!) I googled “kerb stomping” when I first heard that song. I really wish I hadn’t. A particularly horrible way of killing someone.

Recent thread about one of the 'performers' of '"Terfs are Trash" song which was hosted on YouTube:

OP raisinsarenottheonlyfruit wrote:

"This message from the other band member appeared on Facebook yesterday:

With heavy thoughts and hurting hearts, our collective has reached a consensus concerning very serious allegations against a highly regarded member of our group.

Geo String/ Vlad Blyat has engaged in a number of abusive actions against those he calls comrade. He has committed sexual assault, physical/verbal abuse, controlling/ manipulative behavior and he refuses to own his actions.

He was offered a path to restorative justice, but he again refused to acknowledge or respond to the allegations of abuse in a meaningful way.

This public outing of Geo/Vlad, as a rapist and serial abuser is the only option we were left with. He must be held accountable by the collective if he wont accept accountability on his own.

The terf song included a line about bricking women in the teeth, and implying stamping on their heads.

Someone's written on their facebook page "So, let me get this straight. A man who advocated violence against women has been found to be perpetrating violence against women, and people are surprised?"

Cigarstring the ones I've uploaded have already been sent to the APPG (not by me though - these were sent to me by a contact who isn't on MN).

I totally agree, as many people as possible should send any evidence of this kind of thing, in to the APPG.

I'm going to do my submission at the weekend.

How much weight do you think the APPG gives to submissions from individuals, does anyone know? Would it be better for me to send them from myself, or to collaborate with one of the feminist groups I'm in and send as a group?

ChattyLion · 09/08/2018 13:50

Cigar submissions are via an e-mail address so submissions could offer images as attachments or pasted into other documents (but they might have a limit on email size so might be worth asking them about that if it’s looking big) or submissions could offer web links to the images instead? Might be helpful for everyone responding to also submit a list just briefly describing the images as submitted, so the APPG membership can get the gist of the issues even without viewing the specific images and accompanying hate speech/threats themselves.

‘How the APPG will gather evidence

The APPG is interested to hear from experts, practitioners, victims and their representative organisations, as well as academics and others with an interest in and knowledge of the topic.

Submissions should:

Be no more than 2,500 words in length.
Clearly state who they are from and whether they are sent in a personal capacity or sent on behalf of an organisation, and include a brief description of the submitting individual/organisation
Be emailed to [email protected]
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, 15th August 2018.

Based on the received evidence, individuals and organisations will be invited to give further evidence during an open meeting of the APPG.‘

Please also note the secretariat phone number if you have queries or want to go on their mailing list.

‘If you are interested in the work of the APPG on Hate Crime and if you would like to be put on our mailing list, drop us an e-mail on [email protected]. You can also phone us on 0207 935 5573.’

It is normal for APPG secretariats to be provided by (often) voluntary groups who have an interest in this space- this one is by the organisation Faith Matters- so please don’t be put off by that. Smile

Language IS so important. It DOES mean something
Miranda Yardley's article:
"How The Social Justice of Equality, Discrimination, Diversity, Inclusion and Empowerment Are Being Used To Strip Women Of Rights And Freedom"

(extract)
"Language is all important in the political control of a population: this is the lesson behind Orwell’s ‘1984’ and to understand what led Orwell to his novelised ideas, I’d recommend his short essay ‘Politics and the English Language’:

He said:

“Political language… is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.”

Cigarstring · 09/08/2018 13:32

This is absolutely horrific. Is anyone planning to actually present this as evidence for that hate crime response thing that parliament is doing? I think it's essential. Is there a facility that allows uploading of images on the response form?

hackmum · 09/08/2018 13:25

The almost-comical element of this is that they say they should be allowed into women's spaces because they're not a threat to us.

Dude...

SirVixofVixHall · 09/08/2018 13:23

Yes. The violence is so graphic and clearly has a sexual element. WHY ON GOD’S EARTH would I want someone who can talk to women like this anywhere near me and my young daughters ?

Why are so many politicians ignoring this ? Threatening to torture and rape women who “say things I don’t like” has become commonplace. I really can’t get my head round how acceptable it is, how well funded an organisation like ATH is, when they endorse and practice this misogyny.

OP posts:
LaSquirrel · 09/08/2018 13:22

It is apparent these savages are getting a lot of excitement from issuing these threats. They remind me of sick men who need to watch more and more vicious porn to reach the same levels of sexual excitement.

Yep, agreed.

Bingpot · 09/08/2018 13:20

And again you've provided the perfect evidence, R0wan.

Language IS so important. It DOES mean something. Particularly when what it means is violent death/rape threats.

And yes, Eresh. I think the opposite is also true. Can't understand why these TW would be vulnerable in male toilets. They seem perfectly capable of taking care of themselves when it suits.

Ereshkigal · 09/08/2018 13:13

It is apparent these savages are getting a lot of excitement from issuing these threats. They remind me of sick men who need to watch more and more vicious porn to reach the same levels of sexual excitement.

Absolutely agree. Hmmm, why don't I want them or other males who turn a blind eye to them in women's spaces again?

The violence described is often of a sexualised nature, like torture, even if not directly sexual like rape (which it frequently is, especially oral rape)

R0wantrees · 09/08/2018 13:06

"The first time I changed the world was when I told my mates to call me she rather than he. I literally constructed a new world where its possible to understand myself as a genderqueer woman, despite being asigned male at birth simply by changing the language to describe myself. This is why language and pronouns are so important. Its about creating a world in which trans people are allowed to exist"

"And I can honestly say that the work that trans people do for each other means that, for me at least, the trans community is a beautiful place to be. Despite our differences, we have each others' backs"
