Morgane Oger, that well known "mom" of two, is running for mayor of Vancouver.

One planks of 'her' manifesto is shutting down the Vancouver Rape Relief Shelter because of its anti-trans policy.

Not spiteful at all.......

When are the majority of the population going to wake up and see what utter shit is being enacted onto people. The idea that a rape crisis centre cannot exclude male people is utterly vile.

I feel very sorry for Canadians. It's gone from being a wonderful place to be to being a topsy turvey loopey place to be. My friend who is a transexual woman in Canada is very worried about the turn of events.

I think the trans movement is going to eat itself, I hope feminists can stand together.

Even if you disagree with the basic principle that men can't turn into women, why does it matter that there is one rape crisis place that doesn't allow male-sexed people to volunteer? There are masses of male/trans friendly crisis services in BC. Flipping tons.

They view it as appropriate to exclude males from a women's rape crisis center. That is the view that is being called odious.
They did not always exclude males from staffing. Nixon taught them why it is essential to exclude males.

It's hardly surprising that someone like Gibbert thinks that somewhere that centres women and bravely safeguards their rights to not be harassed by abusive males is odious.
