Personally, I am confortable with a transwoman fronting this - it’s about what is being said, not who’s saying it. If a biological male can stand up for the rights of biological females, good on them.

Shon Faye has been repeatedly quoted being overtly misogynistic. SF as a spokesperson is harmful to women, and pretty terrible terms of trans representation and visibility too. There are plenty of trans men and women who aren’t into sluttifying children or silencing feminists.

Thinking about this, this sums up a lot of the problems I have with the current trans movement.
Any criticism of any trans woman for any reason is shouted down as transphobia.
Shon Faye can say things like they advise school kids to 'suck dick early' and when women point out that this isn't acceptable, we're told we're being abusive and trans phobic. It's deeply worrying.

Quite an interesting interview Shon did about Genderquake here. Talks about the Amnesty thing, accompanied by lots of exaggerated head jerking, hand swivelling and hair flicking.

I'm not aware of anything SF has done for women and Google was no help, can you list 3 things?

I contacted AI about this. I sent a very brief email quoting Shon Faye's tweets and attaching screen shots. At no point did I refer to the fact that this person is transgender. I received an incredibly patronising cut and paste response, which failed to address the issues I raised and as such, will be cancelling my membership.
