Yes, but we still don’t know what the allegations are. They may be nothing to do with what TM jnr has alleged (although I think they probably are)

MM made the link between TMJ's allegations and thevletter. The letter wasn't common knowledge until TMJ made his allegations and then MM's statement mentions the letter containing "troubling and disturbing" allegations about her dad. Why mention this letter at all in this context if it wasn't also about CSA?

"Methinks thou dost protest too much", no? In most cases of worry about being caught up in something unsavoury, even as an innocent party, the best thing to do is keep your pie hole shut.

I am very cynical regarding her ability to merch absolutely anything and everything

I am wondering if she kept the letter assuming that TM would die soon and that she could get a big payday from a "tell-all" without having to worry about defamation lawsuits and where she could say that the RF prevented her from talking about it.

Only problem is that her brother beat her to it.

Bet KC glad he didn't invite HAM for Xmas now

First off, I admit that I was sooo far behind on threads that I've given up and skipped to the last post. So forgive me if this has been speculated earlier.

Regarding the reverse ferret Megxit in late August, it could be possible that she had gotten word that, as a result of TMJr's discovery and subsequent report to authorities, there was an investigation starting (or going on) into her father and she either had been or was worried that she would be contacted by the relevant authorities as to 'what did she know, and when did she know it?' and was concerned about allegations in the 2018 letter which she kept silent on. I'm not suggesting she would be anything other than her being approached as an innocent party asked to provide information. But I have a feeling that the last thing HaM would want would be for either of them to be involved in a police investigation of that nature in any way, shape, or form, let alone any damning information should that 2018 letter come to light.

The US authorities weren't going to 'protect her' from other authorities, but perhaps HaM believed that, 'as royalty' the UK authorities would. May also be another reason why they desperately want RAVEC protection.

It's also quite possible that 'the 2018 letter' itself was written by a family member (Samantha's letter at the KP gates?) as a plea to M to either 'tell what she knew' or to 'come to their father's defense'. I'm sure that any letters, especially one handed over at the KP gates from an estranged relative, would be screened for contents and then handed over to the appropriate person to give to the Royal involved. If this letter does contain a plea to defend him against CSA allegations, it will be damning.

FWIW, as far as I can tell TMSr's residency dates are:

2011 retired, moved to Mexico
2017 reported still living in Mexico
2025 moved to Philippines
2026 returned to Florida, USA

My feeling is that his move to the Philippines in 2025 may have been prompted by an investigation by the Mexican authorities who may have contacted US and Philippine authorities. US authorities may have been contacted if he had kept any 'ties' to the US. And chances are he still had US bank accounts.

Or it could all be bollocks on the part of TMJr. Who knows at this point.

Mexico and the US have an extradition treaty, so Mexico can ask for him to be extradited from the US if they believe he has committed offences in their jurisdiction.

The 2019 letter was supposedly handwritten by someone known to the Markle family. It's an odd way of going about doing things. When the letter writer saw that nothing was being investigated, why didn't he/she make the allegations to a more relevant police authority?

WRT to the Met sharing info, it still isn’t clear what the allegations were in the letter of January 2019. The Met have just said “allegations relating to the Duchess’s security”. We are all assuming that the letter refers to the abhorrent allegations now being brought up by her brother, but neither Meghan nor the Met have confirmed what the letter actually alleges 🤷‍♀️

The allegations related to 'offending outside the UK'. The nature of the letter was such that it raised 'concerns in relation to the security of the Duchess of Sussex'.

Following a thorough review of Met Police systems and records, we have confirmed that in January 2019, we received a letter containing a number of claims about alleged offending outside the United Kingdom. It was sent to the MPS Protection Command to raise concerns in relation to the security of the Duchess of Sussex.

I suspect the letter was similar to many that the Met Police FTAC receives, containing vague threats and allegations that need to be assessed for the level of risk they pose, depending on the source and likely veracity of the contents.

Had M not kept stoking the fire re her estrangement I think most people wouldn't have given it a thought & just considered that she had her reasons.

To keep reiterating that it was because of him talking to the press & then doing the same herself...

I'm not a lawyer, but I'd have thought that they would lay themselves wide open to legal action if they published those allegations.

I believe one of the reasons the Met have reported themselves to the IOPC is precicely because they made these allegations known to third parties (The Office of D&DoS) when they should not have.

Always oriented towards the short-term win, and immediate gratification. And that might not be such a big problem if they also did some joined-up thinking, at the very least checking facts and important dates and timelines. And, in particular, reviewing what they've previouslybsaid, to eliminate contractions and outright lies.

This is their problem. They are so reactive and impulsive that they give in to the temptation to clapback straight away when sitting on their hands would have been a better option.

They cannot see beyond the very short term PR strategy for the next 48 hours and their need to portray themselves as victims and someone else to blame keeps coming back to bite them - but it doesn't stop them.

Now everyone can see the contradictions
-she says now that she cut off her father over this.
-But the letter didn't arrive until the following year.
-Then she told a different story to Oprah blaming the rf/UK media
-but she gushed about him in her Netflix series
-and she wrote to him last year....

Then we have the contradiction
-she says she cut him off to protect her children
-but she didn't protect other children
-she has been appearing at events to keep children safe, especially online
-but not apparently from her father

.... this is entirely self-inflicted own goal from the impulsive HAM and the very aggressive "clapback" style favoured by her PR - Liam. They always end up over-explaining and over-sharing which highlights the contradictions with their previous interviews. All she needed to say was something along the lines;
"These allegations are very distressing and shocking. I hope they will be investigated to the fullest extent by law enforcement. We ask for privacy while we process the news and the truth of these allegations is investigated"

Rushing to leak stuff to The Sun saying - "hey - I've known for 8 years" - is not a good look.

But remember the old Judge Judy saying

Ham pr disasters 55! …no neither David Attenborough or John major will be head of state! ….

I wonder if their close friends were told about Thomas Markle CSA accusations, Oprah herself was abused as a child, would Meghan have told her ? Or did Oprah agree it was not something to be discussed in the interview. I mean, Oprah has her own shady friendship group who have some despicable backgrounds. Did she confide in JM and the other 3-name friends.

Sorry if this point has already been made, I don’t post on this board usually.

In both Oprah and the Netflix doc, Harry and Meghan blamed the royal family for her “losing” her father. Harry specifically said in Netflix that if she hadn’t married into the RF, she wouldn’t have lost him. She laid blame at the door of the RF for her own decision to distance herself from an alleged paedophile. Nobody would blame her for their estrangement on this basis, but to allege it was for other reasons and actually lay blame in this way is absolutely unforgivable.

Hello, @Onebigsham. I’m appreciating your posts on this thread - it’s always interesting to have ‘new’ posters and perspectives. This point you make has been alluded to, yes, but it’s so significant it deserves the focus. Also that’s an interesting specific angle that you illuminate.

SiegfriedSassoon · 24/10/2026 16:59

Well that is but the truth

Harry has written and spoken extensively about his drug use which he believes is "therapeutic"

Meghan clearly also uses marijuana as she gave away bags as wedding favours at her first wedding and there are photos of her and Jessica Mulroney smoking joints on a beach just before her wedding to Harry.

Which no doubt is a contributing factor to the delusional paranoia they both clearly suffer from today.
