Have finally managed to catch up n on everything, both on here and on the other thread. What an absolute clusterfuck. My forehead is a bit battered due to the number of posts along the lines of “she reported it what else was she supposed to do / she passed the letter on / etc”. That’s purely down to me, but ffs - her statement wasn’t that long and it clearly stated otherwise. Reading comprehension has definitely gone downhill since I left school.

As with others, I am confused re the timeline of going NC with her father, plus I still find it odd that H never met him in the period before 2018.

I am conscious that I’m not a fan of HaM and their 6 years of conflicting narratives, so that’s kind of probably clouding my view regarding trusting what they say. My hope is that a full and thorough investigation is carried out promptly by all relevant authorities. There is no way this shouldn’t be actioned asap, this is now a global news story of horrific possible crimes.

Awful allegations are made about your parent, who you hapoen to be having the most public argy bargy with on a world stage, a parent you were once extremley close too & you don't say to your partner "look I know my dads an utter arse biscuit - but this? No, im going to see him & i dont care what the MIGS say, what you say, he's my dad & despite our falling out, i don't believe this"
On a human level I feel awfully sorry for her, just gut wrenching, but something is off about the whole debacle.
The alternative is too awful to contemplate, she was told of these vile allegations & thought "Dear god, so much makes sense now".

All could be potentially described as close, but very different relationships. We know that police often ask around about crimes after years as localities change for example, so the motive of an ex partner (for example, that’s what brought my ex down eventually) could be very different from those of a potential victim who finally saw an opportunity to write to people who couldn’t just ignore it or brush it off as “oh that’s just what he’s like…”

Yes, I just watched a special with Kinsey Schofield, who now works for The Sun, and a clearly uncomfortable Scott Rouse. The comments kept pointing out to Kinsey that TM Sr. was innocent until proven guilty since she was acting as though he had been found guilty. Kinsey is now in poor Meghan mode. Last time I watch her.

It's been ages since I posted but I've been reading all along.

If M hadn't mentioned the letter(s), the focus would be just on the recent events, the brother informing on the father and the abusive material found. By mentioning the letter(s), M has made a connection to an apparently related (child sexual abuse) crime but historical. Therefore, the father surely can't now have a fair trial. I'm sure that in criminal trials most of the time the jury isn't allowed to know about historical allegations. Presumably especially when there was no guilty verdict.

Maybe, at this point, he can't be found guilty or not guilty. Because of M speaking out of turn. It's absolutely horrendous whichever way you look at it and I hope Harry uses what little sense he might possess to keep out of it rather than using this to burnish his own victim status.

The are so many quotes and opinions about this latest story; it's wild out there. I've no idea what to believe.

All I can say is if it's eventually revealed as yet another attempt by Markle to play victim, gain public sympathy and dominate the headlines, it's reprehensible and should bury her (metaphorically) once and for all - but will it?

We don’t know who the sender was atm so it’s all just theories.

A whole lot depends on who it was, why they sent it when they did, what they hoped to achieve and if they were genuine.

They could have been known for making allegations about members of the Markle family.

Equally they could have hoped that MM’s high profile would mean the Met would actually do something and get an investigation started wherever it was needed.

BTW, if it turns out that TM Sr. Is innocent, he will end up owning The Sun.

Oh dear. I think this is one of those occasions when staying silent might ultimately work out for the best. Meghan has fucked up here, for sure.

This is all so confusing - so a random made accusations about TM to the Met police who have no way of investigating them, they shared the allegations with Meghan, and she now claims this is why she has nothing to do with him, even though she uninvited him to the wedding before this happened, and was in touch with him afterwards? And so she lied that the reason she is NC is because he sold photos, and Harry has also lied that he is the reason, and if not for him she would still be in touch with her father?

There’s lots more to come out with this. Meghan will have sources talking to the paper.

Presuming it's M who showed The Sun her copy of the letter, it's quite a coincidence that she just happened to pack it in their hurried move from the States.
