if I had a family member that I had such a letter about I would hand it off to the police. I would want to know if it was true or not and expect it to be investigated

Then I would be chasing to find out what was happening, have they investigated and in this case have they shared with US authorities or Mexico if that’s where he was. I would want to make sure that no other child suffers any abuse if it was found to be true. If I found out they had not I would be sharing myself

in the case of Ham they were at the time working royals working with various charities and then parents. Even when they stepped back they still championed kids and social media etc. If they were truly concerned and truly believed the letter was possible they keep up with what’s happened and push for something to be sorted

That’s the thing. I do feel sympathy for Meg because the family is utterly appalling. All of them.

This is why Meg was such a risk to the RF. She came from nowhere and no one knew anything about her and her family background. She hid her family from Harry and created a narrative of who she was to fit in with him.

If Harry was going out with the usual posho, the RF would know all about them, their family, who they are friends with, what schools they went to, what scandals the family had. Its a small world they inhabit. Even though Kate wasn’t an aristo, she went to the right schools etc and was easily ‘verified’

I appreciate it’s much more than dates but it is obvious that M still hasn’t learnt to double check and pause to think through the wider implications of what she is saying.

It’s a trait I have known others have where they say what gets them out of the current problem without realising it drops them into a bigger issue down the line. You could say slap dash or living for today rather than being a reflective detailed orientated person. An example is the freakish attention to detail claim which has backfired repeatedly,

Same. I can remember exactly where I was standing in my kitchen, the weather outside, the time and the date when I got one of those calls. I can remember what I was eating sat on my sofa, date and time again, when I got other bad news. These memories don't tend to be fuzzy.
