The challenge might have been better if they had told the Traitors how it would work beforehand, like 5 mins max. Time to quickly discuss a strategy and get everyone onboard with that (or not). I don’t think that would have detracted from the task’s trickiness and it would have been more interesting for the viewer to see a quick strategy hashed out.

SwedishEdith · 23/10/2026 18:10

They should have told everyone to take off their shoes. Was it during the last celeb one or a normal people one where they had to go under and over strings or something? I'm sure someone took off their shoes - can't have been blindfolded as well. Maybe I'm misremembering but if everyone had no shoes on, the stealthy creeping around would have been more doable.

OsfameronTanamoril · 23/10/2026 18:10

Well apparently Maya Jama has said in the past that she has ADHD, so maybe that's why she got confused in the task!

There was one with lasers criss-crossing the room, the one with Wilf the traitor (I remember it because he was very good at it, which he attributed to having been a dancer).

Yes! I think he wanted to spend the prize money on something to do with supporting vulnerable kids/teens through dance, because it had helped him when he was having a tough time.

Just like Harry promised to take Molly on a holiday! 😀 ( and didn't).

That's it. I thought it was lasers but then doubted myself.

Why would he? She absolutely didn't deserve it. He played a great game and deserved every penny.

Well, I thought they were friends, and it'd have been a nice thing to do.
It was just a light comment though.

WeirdlyNorm · 23/10/2026 18:40

Maybe I'm in the minority but I found James A not doing the task and the Traitors failing was entertaining!

I'd have done the same and just frozen.

Yes, sorry, I meant it as a light response too, but tone is lost!
I don't think there are real friends in regular Traitors- they are all desperate for the money- though of course on Celeb Traitors they are really chummy. because they don't need the money.

WeirdlyNorm · 23/10/2026 18:43

peckishcats · 23/10/2026 17:56

Reason or not, calling a ND person (or indeed anyone else) a 'f...king disgrace' for not attempting a task on a telly show is taking things way too far.

Agreed. Nastiness isn't needed!

TBH although I liked and admired Harry, I did cringe a bit when Molly said she wanted the money to set up a charity for young people with stomas, and he said he'd like to be able to take his family out for dinner and pick up the bill 😑

'nastiness'
Good lord.

kazzaD66 · 23/10/2026 19:00

Wasn't the laser trial the first Celebrity Traitors. I remember Joe Marler doing it. And I've never watched non-celeb Traitors, so maybe they did it aswell but definitely it was Celebrity Traitors last year.

Because he said he would, after the game was over. I hadn't realised he hadn't followed through. That's a bit nasty. You're no longer in traitor mode, don't promise things you won't deliver. I never liked him, though.

So, just my personal opinion, but I don't really care what the civilian Traitors do with their money. Previous series have had cringy dinners where each contestant promised to change the world with their money, or brought up sob stories about ill family members, and I found that tedious.

I don't want Traitors to become like Strictly or the Voice, where the person with the biggest sob story- dead nan! dead mum! dead pet!- wins, or is considered a worthy winner. I want the best and most devious Traitor to win, and I don't care if they are nice or not. YMMV!

AlwaysExtraHot · 23/10/2026 18:04

Really? Not been on MN long? Using swear words is fairly common on here. Others have said they think he's being an obstructive dick, rubbish and a treacherous little prick, plus telling him to 'Fuck off James A'.
Are those giving you a cats'-bum-mouth too?

On a fun and entertaining thread about a television programme, calling a ND person a 'fucking disgrace' is an absolutely vile thing to do and goes too far.

CaveMum · 23/10/2026 20:03

A person with autism finding a task difficult is not a disgrace.

I agree.
