So I rang about about my daughters claim. They said a decision was made 2days ago but she couldnt tell me the decision over the phone and I should get a letter in 7-10days. Do you think its been declined as i havent had any phone calls/messages. Hopefully the letter doesnt take forever to come. Has anyone had this and been accepted?

I’ve seen loads of people get an award without a text, it seems very common. So frustrating that they won’t tell us on the phone, xx

Scan date end of July. Still waiting. Phoned today and no update. A first new claim and had limited evidence (only OT report and Support plan at school) so not feeling very optimistic that my little one will be awarded.

All very vague and that I will be contacted when decision has been made. It must be soon though hopefully as looks like lots of July have now been done! Fingers crossed 🤞

My daughter has been awarded middle rate care. I do think she should be entitled to high rate but I don’t have it in me to fight it anymore so I’m happy she’s been awarded in general xx

Glad you finally got awarded.

I'm same as you - think my son really should have been high rate care (he got middle rate care and low rate mobility). But I can't bring myself to do a MR. I think I'll just gather as much evidence as I can for his renewal in 2 years, hopefully they'll raise it then.

He just got accepted for a disabled bus pass with a companion, which will help massively as I don't drive.

Good luck everyone still waiting!

Doymum · 14/10/2026 16:57

That’s the thing, the process has been so draining. I don’t fancy doing it again until the renewal. Xx

Why do you think that OP x

Sallad · 14/10/2026 16:59

NC scan date 18/9
called today to change the school details as I received forms feb but life got crazy and didn’t send until September
Man on the phone was lovely and informed me that September applications are looking at January decisions
not sure if this is useful to anyone or whether they just generically say it to stop anyone calling 😅 he was very nice and helpful and noted 51 pages of evidence had been uploaded twice

Mumto4and5 · 14/10/2026 17:01

shejokes11 · 14/10/2026 16:59

Why do you think that OP x

She has incontinence issues, under the team for it. She’s got hernias bulging but can’t remove which causes more care at night too. She’s partially death due to failed grommets which has damaged her hearing. She’s on waiting list to be assessed for ASD/ADHD . Due to her sensory issues she won’t wear hearing aids. She’s under speech therapy and most people can’t understand what she’s saying except me. She’s also being tested for a form of diabetes now too which is a new thing. So yeah she’s got multiple needs at the minute .
