MN encourages posters to challenge posts rather than deleting them, it can be very frustrating but it's the way the forum operates.

If you post a lot, it will attract many responses

I’m so baffled that anyone would care so
much about another poster that they would do an advanced search or put them through AI.

There’s a poster on here that’s so unpleasant and posts constantly in bad faith (but has deletions on every thread they’re on but still hasn’t been banned) that I wish I could block but it wouldn’t occur to me to AI them or put them through an AS. They themselves admitted they do this. Do people care this much?

@noblegiraffe yes absolutely. I remember that thread. I’m merely saying it’s not the level of creepiness some posters used to go to to go through old posts with a fine tooth comb, that takes a lot more effort.

Bear in mind that AI will happily tell you a pile of bullshit about a poster.

You don’t really need to “put posts through” AI, you can literally ask AI to tell you about X poster. That doesn’t take enough effort to be defined as creepy I don’t think, it’s quicker and easier than the search function. I’ve personally done it with prolific posters where I’m not quite buying their stories, only for my own satisfaction, not allowed to troll hunt of course but it personally annoys me how people come onto MN to make a mockery of women.

Agreed. That was certainly the case with one of mine. It got rather creepy - at one point wittering on about how they didn't want to interact with me but still felt that they had to 'like' some of my posts.

When they couldn't get me to respond directly, they started making derogatory comments. Meh.

I think they banned mine too. They vanished without trace. I’ve also had very personal comments using material harvested from other threads. I’ve noticed you attract a lot of unwelcome attention @TooBigForMyBoots.

Agree that if you feel you are being stalked, report. I was stalked, mnhq were really helpful and eventually banned the stalker.

I've also been stalked across the boards by an obsessive. I contacted Mnet who asked me for specifics. When I AS'd, I felt sick. That a stranger on the internet was so invested in me was disturbing.😕

I second @noblegiraffe's advice. And if you're being harassed by an individual, report to mumsnet with what they've done.

I recognise your name and have definitely been on some threads. I haven't read every post on this one.
