Huge adverts making site unusable

I am being plagued by a Taylor Wimpey advert. It takes up the whole page and makes it impossible to scroll. Please get it removed or made smaller.

Updating this as the new adverts that take over the whole page are ridiculous. It's making the site completely unusable. I shouldn't have to sign up to premium to use the site.

I don't even know what this is advertising but pressing skip top right just takes you to the bottom of the page while the ad is still there.

I imagine MN are ever so slightly desperate/struggling right now?

I was thinking this earlier, how come places like Reddit manage to have ads that aren’t remotely bothersome and yet on mumsnet they are always causing loading issues or crashing the page or covering the text. The site looks so rubbish now too, like those spam leaflets that come through the front door.

I get wanting to turn a profit but when it gets to the point that it ruins the user experience then it becomes self-defeating.

So it’s deliberate to make people sign up to premium then !

Is that why we are now getting a fake virus page loading up now ? Another way to try and get more sign ups.

Agreed. It's not happening on every thread but it's so cluttered and off-putting, it looks terrible.

Just an update from me, the ad overkill is now making the site unusable, it is affecting my eyesight and making me feel nauseous. I'm not exaggerating either.

Attaching a screenshot to show what I am referring to.
The screen is over 90% ads at any given point.
Actual content (created by us), is barely fucking visible. I am sorry for the language but it's just cheap and insulting.

But most of all, I am definitely using the site less because of it.

The entire interface reminds me of all of those junk ad leaflets that used to fall out of newspapers in the old days. The daily rags are less intrusive than this.
