Congrats on all the offers. It must be so reassuring. We’re just waiting two and I feel like I’ve been stuck in a tumble dryer on spin cycle since mid-dec.

@Taurus23 @Anno7 we're waiting on Surbiton too and believe it will be today or tomorrow. (although likely tomorrow). Do you know how many interviews to offers they tend to make?

really impressive!! I hadn’t realised academically they’re on their way up!

DS had a fixture the other day with Claremont, kids very amazingly behaved and PE teachers’ behaviour towards kids really impressive ; our school staff is on the strict moody side, so I was really impressed by how they were x

@noideaboutanything , it's way more than 2:1 even at the most selective schools, it's why the schools won't disclose it. The same pot of dc get most of the offers hence the high ratio rate.

Thanks! Really helpful! And as a rule we think schools over offer by 2:1? I have read all the threads, I promise, I just don’t retain the data!
and ps thanks for the heads up - Will watch out for an exploding clause in the letter!

@LoveMyADHD my guesses are...

  • people applied for more schools this year generally...our head told everyone to apply for 6, but said it would normally be 4.
  • Co-Eds seem to have had the brunt of extra applications.
  • the new head is doing a great job and CFC's results are way up compared to previously meaning it has become increasingly popular.

I don't think anyone had figures on that. I only heard that they had double the applicants of last year.

No mention of it in the email but we will need to be careful to check the details when the letters arrive. I think it was one that people mentioned was an exploding offer last year.
