When my daughter was young, I had had convinced she was the baby in the sun. In my defence, it was the one thing she watched- that stopped her crying. I got myself a red coat I thought was quite nice, I'm referred to as fucking po now. That will reach me. I hate you telletubbies Angry

I'm glad to read that I am not the only one who has suffered from trench coat mockery. I bought one when 'Allo 'Allo was popular on television. Big mistake. Unfortunately all the people promising that " I will say zis only once" didn't.

I do think magazines/internet sites should be banned from showing pictures of celebs in lovely clothes unless they also display a photo of a 53 year old, size 18, 5ft 2in, woman with no make up and jowls like a basset hound wearing the same garment.

It needs the subtitle this is what it will look like on you, Janet next to it.

Not that I'd be caught wearing a white coat - chemistry degrees teach you many things and one is that white coats don't stay white.

I lusted after a jacket in the windows of Wallis years ago, taking a de-tour home every day, just to look at it.
Pay day finally came, and I zoomed into the changing room to try my beloved jacket on.... OMG, I almost cried!!
The colour (mid brown with a beige furry collar) and fabric (suedette) made me look like Scooby Doo😱
It was truly horrible!! Didn’t suit me at all, and the colour on me was vile...
Such a disappointment
