Of course he will - from his point of view, this one is a total "win-win"!

Two thins that Bibi really needs are a) for his coalition partners not to walk out on him, and b) to remain "at war" for at least long enough for him to figure out some other way to stay in power (and, above all, out of prison)!

This seems like an excellent strategy to work towards both goals, so: again, why would he object?

@anotherlevel I saw Ben Gvir was pushing for it but as much as I loathe Netanyahu, I didn't actually think he would agree to it. I'm waiting to see if it's confirmed as it's only been reported on Israeli media so far as i can see. I still have hope even if it is very slim that he won't bow down to Ben Gvirs ridiculous demands that are sure to inflame already increased tensions.
I read that the Shin Bet also warned Netanyahu against the move.

Let’s be honest, even if the source was direct from the Israeli government and they admitted it you would have an excuse like “What did they expect with what happened on October 7.”
With no real desire to truly understand what happened on October 6 and before.
All innocent lives are important equally and Hamas have a lot to answer for as to the Israeli regime and all who support it whether through voting or right wing parties or excusing the settlements or indoctrination in IDF training programmes or selling of arms etc.
Unless people are truly honest about the fault of both sides there will be no peace for Palestinians or Israelis.

We are told that there are bodies piled up on the streets in Gaza, people being buried in mass graves and yet we have satellites that can pick out a cigarette packet on a pavement, so it seems rather implausible.

@Finallyloggedin Yes so many people don't know the full extent of what's going on. If people aren't on instagram, twitter, TikTok etc. and only get their news from the msm then they are only getting a sanitised version of events. Which is by design I suppose.

I still don’t think the full extent of what is going on is widely known in the UK. So many people I speak to don’t seem aware of just how horrific things are. The efforts to divert attention sadly seem to work.
