MummyLovesSadie · 26/04/2010 07:29

Hi ladies, I thought I'd have more time to post before going to Scotland so it's just a quickie from me.

Mermaid thinking of you loads, no cramps or bleeding is a very good thing indeed.

4ever I hope she gets a chance to wear all of those clothes !

Barbie I feel for you just reading your story! Perhaps your dd is at the stage now where she has noticed she has hands & wants to stare at them all the time?

Vjay lol at you doing your exercise by watching the Marathon! That's about the extent of my physical activity at the moment too .

Blue looking forward to seeing pics of yesterday.

Monkey hang on in there lovely lady.

Cupcake I'm definitely predicting boy for you - little baby Jude, aaaaahhhhh!

Moon no backache yet? Can I get a bit excited?

Finally Neeko what can I say except for eeeeeeeeeek! We are finally meeting up on Wednesday & we are both going to be nervous & giggly! I'll bring my camera so I can post some pics on my profile.

Sorry to miss loads of you out but I really have to get ready now. We are staying in York today & then on up to Scotland tomorrow. I promise I'll join the big pantsers when I get back.

barbie1 · 26/04/2010 07:00

Phew, Devon is finally asleep so i can post again.....

Hard few days because of fever due to jabs, we had one spaced out baby which was almost as worrying as one screaming baby (she seemed obsessed with her hands ) and then she couldnt sleep due to fever which then meant she was over tired and grumpy....which meant i was too.

I didnt go into the room when the jabs were taking place, dh did. I did however hear her and ended up sobbing in the waiting room while people were walking past looking like this at me. I think dh was amazed how i knew it was her cry, even though about 6 babies were all crying at the same time! Least its over and done with now for a few months...oh and the little porker is now 9lb 12oz, going from the 5th percentile to the 25th, so im doing something right at least

mermaid i have text you a few times but im not sure i have the right number? I have been thinking about you but couldnt get onto post. The reason i said wait til 8 weeks was because the same thing happened to me at 6 plus 2...the scan i had showed nothing sugnificant (sp?) in the words of my doctor ...no fetol pole etc etc just an empty sac. I went back a week and 3 days later and had my good scan. Im still crossing everything for you and hoping that the same thing is going to happen for you. I know the wait is the worst part, so don that hard hat and keep yourself as busy as you can....

cupcake im thinking boy for you my lovely....on my growth scan something was slightly bigger than it should be, cant for the life of me think what is was now though Im sure everything is going to be fine...sometimes i think for all the technology we have out there now, sometimes its better not having it...less worry thats for sure!

moon cd 28? Im not sure i have any stories this time??? i have been trying to sleep as much as i can (which is never) oh oh oh...ha ha tell a lie...i have one I went out for lunch at a very trendy cafe, full of cool, good looking types...theres me trying to be a yummy mummy in a long flowing maxi dress (boob tube style top but with a tie strap) i enter the garden area, trip on a arty style placed rock the pram launches off towards the diners and i stand on bottom of dress (far too long since in only 5'3!) didnt realise so carried on walking which pulled my dress down exposing one (.)(.)

Oh the shame....i could just see everyone going needless to say i sat inside where there were no witnesses to my shocking behaviour!

4ever loving the bump pics and the nursery...im sure she has more clothes then Devon already! Glad you had a good scan, i really do hope you enjoying (as much as you can) the last few weeks knowing that everything is good with her....Its a shame that after a mc we will never enjoy a pregnancy like some women seem to do

neeko i laughed so much at you dd saying get your boobies out! I hope H is giving you time for your nipples to recover in between feeds...I finally have time where my boobs are inside a bra and not a mouth
Glad you felt you could remember your gran on here....

mls so happy that your scan was a good one...

monkey i didnt know what glee was either its now being shown on showtime over here....however im not going to watch it...looks a bit like high school musical...yuk! You sound very positive and im glad you have lots of support both here and in rl...not to mention your gorgeous ds.

vjay i always used to watch the marathon while sat eating a huge fry up, nursing a hangover...never did understand why someone would get up at 6am to fight the london traffic just to run for miles ...Dh cousin did it yesterday in 4 hours...felt guilty at my lack of excersie since giving birth, so went to the gym (but only to join up again) no idea when im going to have the time to go...but its the thought that counts right????

blue how did yesterday go????

jools glad you are enjoying your holiday...

Oh heck...My boobs are in demand, will try to get back and finish posting later...

cupcakefairy · 25/04/2010 21:22

Wow 4ever your lo is one lucky little girl! She has so much stuff already!! Ours is positively deprived compared to that only has a measly few vests and sleepsuits, I expect it will tell me how hard done by it was once it's a teenager
Lovely bump too, mine is about the same size. I told dh earlier I went to bed every night now thinking 'this could be the night' and his face was this- he says he's desperate to meet lo but don't think he's really all that ready!!

Yay for the sweepstake would be so cool if we all went the same day... annie and buddha did, gracie and curly did so we have to go one better and make it a triple whammy

moon that was a pretty mahoosive post by my standards nice work! And yay, join my non-lovers-of-Glee club, haha

BlueMoon1981 · 25/04/2010 18:53

omg 4ever that is some bump, hard to believe thats a real live little person in there, pregnancy is magic isnt it

vjay you've been making me giggle too, you are very amusing! sorry but i tried to watch some glee today and wasnt very impressed, thought id better test it out after everyone was talking about it!

blue hope you've all had a lovely lovely day, we had beautiful weather hope it was nice for you too and who cares if you flash a nipple, we've all got them, i'd show mine to the world if i had a baby...

neeko you can of course remember your gran on here, maybe she will be looking after our lost los up there, its a happy thought

sabs huge post well done! i can never manage ones that mahoosive (lol a phrase from my youth ) so you are doing well with a dd in tow too! i think you should change your name to supersabs

barbie glad you got most of your piccies back, and lucky you had emailed them to so many people. my lovely df is an IT freak so he does back up stuff, but at least it happened early on and not after a year when you would have lost loads more. i'm missing the barbie story of the day, you must a few stored up to tell us?

monkey and louey hope you are both doing ok and looking after yourselves, now the warmer weather is coming you have double the excuse for ice cream not that i need any excuse at all but its good to justify it to myself sometimes

cupcake 4ever and lbm wow how time flies, though probably not for you, cant believe you get to meet your los very soon and iggy you cant be too far behind?

lovely mermaid i am still holding out hope for you, may the days go by quickly so you know one way or the other, big hug x

wheres curly gone

mls is it time to join the big panters yet?

i know i've missed people out, big waves and hugs to everyone xx

thank you for the wedding talk, keeping me smiling even though we can't plan much yet til we have saved up enough for a deposit on the place we want...

cd 28

Ooh u do make me laugh Vjay! ...That was a funny post! Loving the fact your exercise for the day is done! .....Also loving the triple sweepstake dates! That is DH & my 5th anniversary of getting together! Was a teensy bit of LBM due date (also same as BIL GF) cos DH lucky no is 5, this is our 5th preg, & we got together on the 25/5/5! (Im not OCD honest!)

VJay · 25/04/2010 14:23

The triple sweepstake

Neeko 15/05 for cupcake

Vjay 25/05 for cupcake, 25/05 for LBM, 25/05 for 4ever

Hiya, I feel all sporty watching the marathon, well that's my exercise for the day done

As for mermaid not liking glee, tut tut

4ever so glad the heart scan was NORMAL, could be a god middle name

sabs just call yourself sabs, I can't think of anything else. As for teeth, I have all mine thanks for asking, but I'm sure you meant Ajay , he has none yet, but has been wailing away tiday and chewing on evrything, so I thing they're on there way, I even had to give him some calpol this morning. DS1 was 8 months when his 1st lot came through. As for hair loss, mine started coming out at about 3 months too and still is, I have a very short fringe around my hairline where it's starting to grow back. I didn't notice it with ds1, but loads has fallen out this time.

neeko I'm raising a glass to your lovely Gran .
The studying is going well thanks, I've managed to get half of the course done, I completed another TMA last week that's due in in June, so quite pleased, but I'm going to try and keep up the pace, bloody hard though!

Right need to lie down after watching all the running , and blue hope you are having a fabulous day, and not worrying about nipple flashing.

Neeko · 25/04/2010 12:10

Hi Monkey Glad you're having an up day. Enjoy spending time with your work friends.

Cupcake More shopping? I'm quite excited at the thought of a sweepstake that's not about me! Off to find the list for your due date so i can start.

cupcakefairy · 25/04/2010 11:52

Girls you've all been making me laugh so much; I love that despite all the sadness on here we still laugh too
mermaid I especially loved the cat bum face clutching paint charts image

monkey so so glad you have a RL friend to talk to as well that really does help. And yes, singing at the top of your voice definitely helps too! My crazy sister believes that singing opera loudly in fake italian instantly cheers anyone up haha.

sabs stop apologising re scans! You have enough to think about. Love the image of the creche people having to make you leave glad it went ok leaving S though.

4ever YAY for Miss Normal Baby-4ever so lovely to read you being more upbeat you really deserve it. Can't believe how close we are now and you too LBM, we'll have to start a sweepstake soon. Dh is starting one on me at his work

Hi neeko! Yay to sleep! Well done H.

We did buy looooads of stuff yesterday but would you believe are still going out today. Carseat is the absolute last thing we need! Woke up with horrible cramps, backache and breathlessness a few times last night I think things may be getting into gear!

monkeybumsmum · 25/04/2010 11:29

Neeko Sending you a hug for today - it's not 'nothing' at all, whoever we lose we still miss them Glad you're getting some sleep, it makes a huge difference doesn't it!

Mermaid I now have a lovely image of you walking round a building site wearing a delightful yellow hat It's good to have something else to concentrate on though.

Blue Hope this morning has gone wonderfully and you're now enjoying showing your boy off to all the rellies. What a lovely day for a christening

Am doing okay this morning. Spending time with ds is just the best medicine, and am being forced to do stuff as have three work friends coming to visit later. Have even been singing along to Don't Stop Believing as it's just such a feel good song! Dreadful singing though
I hope you are all having lovely weekends whatever you're doing xxx

Neeko · 25/04/2010 09:12

Morning! Hannah was a screamer all yesterday evening then settled down at 11.30 pm and was a wee angel. Only woke every 3 hours for a feed then went straight back to sleep. Still sleeping on her daddy's chest now. Boy, sleep is good

It's 2 years today since I lost my wonderful, wise, loving and funny Gran so feeling a bit Know it's nothing in the scheme of what some of you are going through but only feels right to mark it on here. Really wish she could have met DD2...

Monkey Good to see you posting and glad that Glee and your friend are bringng brief glimpses of sunshine into your life. I'm sure the counselling will help too.

Mermaidinthebuildingsite Glad there's no pan or bleeding. Hope that means our prayers for your miracle are being answered. Since you cleared your desk, does that mean you can do no work??

Blue Burst out laughing at "its like my wedding all over again without the alcohol or sex " I'm sure DS2 will be delighted to hear his day being described as that in the future! hope you have a brilliant day.

4ever Phew to a good scan. Now sit down, relax and enjoy teh last few weeks.

Ciupcaketheshopaholic Hope you're all shopped out now and have packed your removal lorry to take you to the hospital Now sit down and relax too.

sabs Banoffee pie - yum! The 4 day week thing sounds great as does the holiday.

iggy Hope the house gets moving soon - pardon the pun - and you're stll smiling.

Vjay Did the boys keep behaving? How's the studying going?

DH and DD2 just come downstairs so peace shattered. Love to everyone else and happy Sunday.

P.S. MLS Hope you're going to post that fab scan pic.

mermaidspurse · 25/04/2010 04:27

morning I am sitting in a building site again. It's taken my mind of other things, I can walk around with a cat bum face ranting on about dust, clutching a paint chart instead.

sixpacksabs
That would be great if you could do a 4 day week. Deffo go for a holiday, sounds a great idea. You could still do the classic family party bit for the photo album

I watched glee the other night, mermaid sits shaking head in bemused, older woman fashion. I think I would actually rather watch repeats of Top Gear on Dave

4ever That was quite a day, no wonder you were both so worried. So, big fantastic gold star for you this weekend.

Although am thinking that both you and Cupcake are going to need a forklift to get your bags into hospital lovely to hear you both applying the finishing touches.

blue hope the sun shines and you have a lovely day. lol at lables on shoes, you are very organised!

monkey I suppose if glee makes you feel better then it can't be so bad. Go gently lovely, you are doing really well.x

right off back to bed.

Sabs1981 · 25/04/2010 00:15

Just quickly, I forgot to add, and have been meaning to ask for some time, have any of the saggy panters been losing hair off their head? I've been losing lots of hair since S was 3 months old and although its slowing down, I am still losing hair. I know its because we dont shed our head hair during pregnancy (or something like that) but does anyone know when it stops falling out so much?

Also, I want to lose the 1981 but keep the sabs. Anyone have any idea what I can add to my name? I'm so useless when it comes to thinking of creative, witty things (as you can probably tell!)

Right, I really need to get off now!

Sabs1981 · 24/04/2010 23:57

Evening ladies. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine

blue hope it all goes well tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing the photos

4ever I am so sorry I missed in my lurking that you had a scan yesterday but what a relief to hear that the outcome was good.

monkey good to see you back on here. Again so sorry to hear about everything you're going through, but we're all here to listen and lend a hand to hold

vjay Sorry if you've mentioned it on here before but does vjay have any teeth yet? Saara doesnt have any yet. I was reading something today which said the first teeth normally shows an appearance at 6 months, and Saara is going to be 7 months next week. But I know the first teeth can take anywhere up to 11 months (is that right?) Mind you, S hates opening her mouth when I try to check, but I'm sure I'll know in other ways when she does get her first tooth

cupcake Sorry its a bit late, but good to hear the scan went well. (I feel so at how many scans I missed this week ) Awww at your DH. My DH came to every one of my 5 scans and took a photo from his phone of each scan pic and then spent the rest of that day staring at it. Now he spends his days at work staring at pics of S, the latest one is of me and S sleeping together all cuddled up. How did the shopping go today? I had to go to babys r us to replace our steraliser and to mothercare to buy a few more things for Saara. Its so easy to get carried away! Things we bought included a bumbo seat and a parasol for the pushchair. Every time we go to a baby shop DH finds the glider chair section and just sits there with Saara while I like to pretend I'm in supermarket sweep

Hugs to you too mermaid Good to hear you havent had any pain or cramps. I'm still praying for positive news for you

barbie about losing your photo's. We bought a new camera this week as our old one stopped working a couple of months ago after having it for 5 years (as did our kettle!) I've been using my phone in the meantime to take lots of random pics of S. Now I need to get around to actually printing some out (as well as backing them up!) Hope Devon's checkup and jabs went OK

moon also want to echo what the others are saying about not feeling you cant talk on here. We're all here to lend an ear. Thanks for that link, blue's right I do love my freebies! I was one of two people chosen to test a change bag for MAM and I got to keep the bag! Going back to your wedding, here's a link on for my role in organsing the wedding http://shop.confetti.co.uk/branch/wedding-favours favours!

iggy also loving your bump pic

neeko so nice to have a long post from you I'm very impressed with your weight loss. As for me having a six pack I wish! I kind of ruined the hard work by making a banoffee pie

lbm Hope your last week at work flies by and you get some lovely pressies are you having a leaving lunch/do/drinks?

jools Hope you're having an amazing holiday

mls another from me for not coming on to wish you luck for your scan. But good to hear things look positive. Loving Enders as always Friday's was quite a cliffhanger with Syed and Amira... Your DD sounds so cute btw!

louey So sorry to hear about what you're having to go through Happy birthday for Tuesday and hope you have a wonderful, restful (as one can with twins!) holiday. My sister has twin girls, who are 2 and a half, along with another girl who is 4 and a half, and they had their first family holiday abroad over Easter, which was quite a big achievement! But it all went well.

pfj gracie kate buddha Hope all's ok with you lovely ladies and anyone else I missed

Well I did it. On thursday after our yoga class, I braved it and left Saara in a creche for the first time ever while I did pilates! louey I had your words in my head when I left her, that it would help me in the long run. They had to make me leave as I just wouldnt go, and throughout the class I kept on thinking I could hear her crying (which she wasnt of course!) and had all these silly scenarios in my head and as soon as the class finished, I few out to see her, but she was fine

I've been in touch with work about when to go back and they want me to take half of my leave plus 8 bank holidays before I go back which would mean I wouldnt need to go back until the end of OCtober (instead of end of September) but I've made a suggestion that maybe I could use my leave to work 4 day weeks from October to March, so waiting to hear back about that. We're also thinking that instead of having a 1st birthday party for S, as a lot of people have said theres no point having such a big party as she wont remember anything (!) is to have a holiday for the three of us instead in September, just before I go back to work, but we'll see.

Wow, its taken me an hour to catch up. Have a bbq to go to tomorrow, but without DH and S. Night all (you can tell im tired as ive ramled a lot today )

bluesatinsash · 24/04/2010 20:28

Evening Ladies, I know you're all tucked up watching sat night telly as I'm about to but haven't had the chance to get on in the run up to Ben's Christening - its like my wedding all over again without the alcohol or sex . Thanks for all your good wishes, robes are starched and ironed at my Mum's, our clothes are all ready DH just has to take the stickers off the bottom of his new brogues from NEXT . Only thing I'm worried about is BF B at the after-show party as my top isn't very bf freiendly, will just have to cover up with lots of muslins oh what the hell its only a nipple

4ever - so utterly delighted for you and your DDh at your thorough scan and mind at ease consultation, can feel your relief its almost palpable . I'm so excited for you too on the home straight, nursery taking shape (can't wait to see piccies) bag getting packed, and you have even managed to sneak in some sunbathing - lovely.

cupcake - hope you're not worrying about femur length, boys - if you are having one that is - do tend to be short arses to begin with! not long for you either and glad you and your DH are savouring this couple time.

Vjay - glad your boys are behaving, well when you posted anyway .

Neekotheonehandedtyper - lovely to 'see' you and at your DD1 comments. Hope little H is spreading her feeds out at least a little

moon - I will start googling some dresses form the old wedding sites I used to frequent. I'm thinking champagne silk oe chiffon perhaps for your complextion? Also about your CD26...

barbie - glad you have recovered most of your photos, reminded me of the Sex and the City episode when Carrie lost everything and Aiden (marry me now!) was so lovely and helpful. Hope little D's jags were OK. B had his 4-month ones on Wed, 3 this time, cried at second one and howled at third .

Iggy - loving your latest bump picture, you look very round and high - that's a boy in my book of old wife's tails .

Mermaid - no cramping or bleeding can only be a positive sign but this limbo land you are in must be awful, a test to your sanity and your inner super strength must be summoned up once again... Will say a huge prayer tomorrow for you x

Monkey - really glad you are seeing a counsellor, someone professional to help you through this dark time, even if its just you sitting talking in a stream of conciousness way.. Remember if you want to talk about your DS2 and his short time with us, we're here xx

Love to everyone else x

monkeybumsmum · 24/04/2010 19:50

Lovely to hear you sounding so upbeat 4ever - hope you so enjoy the last few weeks and are able to get all excited now

Knew I'd forgotten to do something earlier - wanted to wish Blue and family a lovely day tomorrow. Hope the sun shines brightly and you get some lovely pics of Ben wearing your family robe. Enjoy all the celebrating

Right, am off to watch Over the Rainbow (if I haven't missed it putting ds to bed ) and then Britains Got Talent. DH and I are loving trash tv at the mo!

Have a good evening all xxx

4everhopeful · 24/04/2010 19:23

Just a quick one from me... Thanks so much lovely Cupcake and Mermaid (who has enough on your plate) for the texts yesterday pre & post heart scan, Monkey too, it always humbles me that you lovely girs that are going through so much still think of others, it means alot..

Well, I dont think Ive ever been so scared about a scan as yesterday morning.. I was convinced they would see my baby girls heart was enlarged or worse and would keep me in and give me a section! My dad died from heart failure due to an undetected enlarged heart so there were alot of mixed scared emotions for me... DH who is normally mr positive was also in a panic despite trying to hide it.. Luckliy we didnt wait and went in the fetal cardiology scan room with 2 specialists, they were quite reassuring that they wouldnt of expected me to be referred as I'm still not even confirmed with diabetes, anyway they got on with it & most of the time I couldnt look at this big picture of her little beating heart and all its chambers and bloodflow, I could hardly breath and they kept stopping and asking if I was going to faint and if I could hear them OK! It was the most in depth scan ever, all these words Im used to hearing in Holby City! A whole 45 mins or so, but each bit, she kept telling us was normal, however I just couldnt calm myself down cos Id got so worked up! Then it took ages to measure the septum, which started to hurt as she prodded the same bit over & over but evenualy I turned on my side and that worked and that too was normal! There were tears of relief & I joked I might add another middle name of 'normal' Ive never been so pleased to hear that word repeated! The report was over 2 pages and it was so amazing to keep seeing it written over and over!

Anyway, thank god eh? Sorry that turned into a bit of an outpouring! It really has been an anxious few weeks.. Am hoping I get a clean bill of health re the diabetes too but after yesterdays panic, it now seems like a minor...

DH and I went on a serious shoppng mission afterwards! Mothercare, Mamas & Papas, M&S (with lovely lunch thrown in) and even PC world where we got an external hard drive (thanks Barbie!). We finished off with our food shop which took 2 hrs as I had to read all the labels re sugar content.. I am mullered today, absolutely hanging, but still pottered round doing housework & sunned myself, & DH is just finishing off the babys drawers & I have filled the wardrobe with all her cute clothes! I will take a few pics when its all done!

Just wanna send a hug to Monkey hope you had a nice time with your friend lovely lady, glad you are taking small steps! Glee is just the sort of thing to lose yourself in! Trash telly at its best..

Mermaid poor lovely in limboland, another hug to you too my sweet, I just wish I had a magic wand for you...

Moon hugs babydust & for you too...

Barbie Im pleased you got most photos back, thank you for getting us all on the case with our back ups!

Cupcake enjoy the shopping sweet! I went a bit overboard on all new nighties/PJs amnd stuff for me fro my bag! Treat yourself, you derserve it! Oh yea, we got shown a birth video at our ante natal class! Full on super close ups! Eeeew! It was really old & DH said it was like Sons & Daughters or Cell Block H, he was also horrofied that the ladys really needed a wax!

Iggy have a look at my pics on my profile to see why MLS referred to them as Branstons! My DH had funny 5 mins and they are now permanently known as that in our house!

Blue Happy christening day to baby Ben tomorrow! Hope the sun shines for you and you have a lovely time sweetie!

Vjay big waves to you my lovely, sending you a hug for the other night still..

Neeko and MLS hope your DDs are keeping you smiling and sunny this weekend?

Big waves to everyone else, Happy weekends all! Im off for a bath, poor DH is still slogging it out with these drawers bless him! 3 to go!

monkeybumsmum · 24/04/2010 18:27

PS VJay Just wanted to say that I've been watching Glee clips on YouTube and already have a crush on Finn He's lovely! Have ordered the first series on DVD so hope it gets here soon as can't wait to watch it properly!
Glad boys were behaving themselves earlier, hope it lasted and that you've had a nice relaxing day x
