A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

Well ladies, I thought I'd better start us a new thread

May it bring us all good luck, see us through happier times, and at least two new bundles of joy

Hi Becky, lovely that ds3 is coming on so well Smile

All ok here, except I've been poorly (fluey tummy bug thing) . Nothing new really! How was your Christmas and New Year?

BeckyBendyLegs · 30/01/2011 17:32

Boo everyone. How are you all doing? We're all doing fine, getting through the cold January days, DS3 sitting on my lap being a wriggly little thing. He is growing up so fast. He can now say 'cat', 'again', 'match attax', 'daddy', 'book'.

BeckyBendyLegs · 03/01/2011 17:50

GetDown hello! Everyone, meet GetDown she's my good friend from the 'I can't sleep' thread!

Hello Poppy - hope the madness has settled now. It has here. Getting ready for the back to school madness now. DS2 officially starts school tomorrow.

poppy27 · 30/12/2010 14:17

We had a lovely time: chaos of course. The house is full of toys and leftovers!

BeckyBendyLegs · 05/12/2010 11:38

Hiya, it's been a long time - I'm getting stressed about Christmas! I've nearly done all the present shopping but sooo busy in the next couple of weeks with various things going on: nativity at school, Christmas dos in the evening, etc.

Nandos how are you doing?

poppy27 · 21/11/2010 15:44

Hi ladies

Just wondering how you are all doing. nandos hope things are a bit better for you now.

Is everyone organised for xmas or are you all like me and beginning to feel slight panic setting in Grin

Love Poppy xx

BeckyBendyLegs · 09/11/2010 18:21

Nandos, how are you doing?

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/10/2010 08:10

Nandos try posting on the mental health thread - there are a lot of people there who have been through similar things and are very, very caring and understanding. You are under a huge, huge amount of stress at the moment, dealing with one new baby is hard enough. Please post there xxxx big hugs.

over here

poppy27 · 08/10/2010 21:27

Hi nandos wow a month on your own with 3 babies - that's very hard and can see why you are struggling. The mental health chatline would prob be a very good non judgemental source of support and advice for you. I know here in the Scotland we have Sure start which is a voluntary service of people with parenting experience who go to the homes and help families with kids under 5 who are struggling (for varying reasons). I was v ill after having ds and physically couldn't cope due to arthritis and they would have been a saviour to me but it was a fairly new organisation then and weren't in my area until after arthritis began to improve again. Don't know if there is anything at all like that where you are. Anyway off to read ds story. Please take care and do keep posting, thinking about you and will keep you in prayers.

Thx poppy for replying.. Yeah it's stressful here n dh has gone abroad for a mth re work and I'm left mostly by myself with 3 kids at home :( just realized my posting doesn't suit the conception topic so might go to the other discussion board. In the mean time I thought of calling the mental health chatline but still considering it cos they might think I'm crazy.. Well with crazy thoughts for a start. God I hate myself for hating her. Told dh abt it n he can't seems to understand my problem. Am trying to be patient with my baby 's screaming nightmare ATM but feels like if I don't get help soon I might harm her.. Think will go now and get some rest. Will try to update all of u every few days so at least u know me n babies are doing ok..

poppy27 · 05/10/2010 23:28

Oh nandos so very sorry things are this difficult for you atm. Have no personal knowledge of pnd so hoping someone else may be able to advise you on that but can totally understand that even just the stress of being responsible for three small babies and the severe sleep deprivation you are suffering from would test most people.

Take care of yourselves - do you have a health visitor/midwife you could chat to for some advice.

Sending you love and hugs.

nandos · 05/10/2010 12:41

Hi everyone.. Hope all of u are doing fine. Life here is madness at the moment juggling with 3 small kids. Nearly went into depression after baby girl keep screaming loudly ( without crying ) everytime needs changing or wants milk. Sad to say I don't feel like I love her that much due to the "screaming for no reason " attitude" although I care for her ATM. Other twin is doing fine n doesn't scream as often or loudly like her. Can't wait till they are able to sleep at night without the regular 3 hourly feeds as I haven't had at least 4hour continuous sleep ever since they are at home.. Just need a little advice from mn re this problem of mine. I don't know if it's related to postnatal depression or not but the thoughts of killing her is immense . Not that I will do it but either I might harm myself or her is bad enough :(..anyone had this kind of experience pls kindly post so I know am not the only one feeling this way when baby doesn't behave as well as we wanted them to be..

BeckyBendyLegs · 24/09/2010 19:47

Hello all, Poppy poor you - hope you feel better now. I've only had one migraine and it was just very, very strange. My mum used to get them. But fancy being told to put on weight! It all sounds very positive though :)

mbm yummm I want some too!

We're all fine. Busy, busy, busy. Life is settling down a bit and I am sleeping better, with just the odd wobble. We have builders in at the moment doing the top floor of the house and putting in a new bathroom. So the house is cold (as they leave all the doors open) and noisy (still DS3 manages to have his naps and sleep through it all).

Nandos I hope you and all your babies are doing well :)

poppy27 · 21/09/2010 18:59

Hi all

nandos hope you and your family are doing well and babies are bringing you lots of joy.

becky how are you doing?

mbm mmm yum gingerbread Smile sounds good. Hope you are well.

We had our first apt with the natural fertility clinic last week and it went very well. Seen a lovely conception coach Grin who has given us advice etc and now I have to check out my ewcm and report back. Also next month we have to go to a nutritionalist. I have also been advised to put on weight as bmi is 19 and she wants it higher. Easier said than done for me though as illness/meds have caused weight loss in past and v hard to gain it back. Will try though.

Have also been plagued by a very sore neck for the last 3 months. Have seen docs numerous times, had massages, accupunture but to no avail and now it is causing my migraines to come back with a vengeance. Have spent all morn in bed feeling ill today but had to get up as ds kept checking on me to see how I was and didn't want to worry him. Have just finished drawing him a tom and jerry cartoon.

Off for a cuppa.

Helloo everyone!

Its been two weeks since my last post and I am here to say that Ive given birth safely on the 13th Aug to a little girl and a little boy named Amir and Amirah.
Boy is abt 2.3kg and girl is abt 1.8kg.
Got admitted on the 12th morning cos' water broke couple of hours after I wrote on MN. Guessed that makes sense for my erratic typing when I read my last post again Blush
Well this time round didnt have any pains till the next morning but they monitored me due to the continuous water leaking from me. Had contractions afterwards and they scanned me again to figure out the best choice of giving bith and it was EMCS cos' little Amir kept turning till hes breech so it was a bit risky to have natural birth.
Anywayz both are a little over 2kg each and doing well. Had to give formula milk as breast milk is insufficient for both Blush.
Also not doing too good atm and I think have to see doc' today due to bladder infection or something..
Anywayz got to take some rest now while babies are asleep.

will ry to catch up with the posts/MN soon.
take care

poppy27 · 13/08/2010 00:44

Wow nandos can't believe you are soon to be a mummy to twins Grin the time seems to have flown by! Glad you and Ibraheem better now - it is awful seeing your wee one poorly.

mbm glad you are finding the counselling helpful but it must be hard as well. My dh was really quite depressed last year for many reasons and he was close to needing AD's but I got him some st john's wort as in the past my brother had used them and within a couple of weeks he felt better and at the end of a month he had really turned a corner and the gnawing, panicky, angry and low feelings were lifting and he was much more like his old self. Understand this may not be any use to you but always another option Smile

My gran is now the proud owner of a new knee. She had the op 2 weeks ago and is making a slow and painful recovery. She is very glad my mum retired at the end of term!

Will try and post a photo of garden party soon. We only got a group one as no cameras were allowed - boo.

We are off to Aviemore tomorrow for the weekend. Looking forward to it as haven't had a holiday this year as my gran looks after my cat while we go and wasn't sure how long she would be in hosp etc.

Last week was Ds's 8th birthday. He was delighted as my mum and dad got him a dsi!!! Big hit.

I have finally made apt for natural fertility clinic. We go next month and first apt is with a "conception coach" Grin Dh can't wait lol

Take care love poppy xxx

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/08/2010 10:18

mbm he was only there for one night (sunday night). He got back at midnight Monday. He's now in Berlin!

Nandos wow!!!! Are you prepared? You're soon going to be very, very busy!!!!

mbm I'm so pleased that you are feeling better. I'm not sure ADs are the answer necessarily as they are just a temporary plaster really. I'm glad I didn't take any either after the doctor thought I might have mild PND (well I did take them for three days and they made me feel so awful).

Anyway, must dash, expecting boss to phone any second and she's late!

nandos · 11/08/2010 17:34

Hey everyone!

Been a loong time since i typed anything on MN. Been v bz with travelling in May/June and been ill in July and Ibraheem admitted to hosp for diahrrea as well.
Sory had a run thru with th posts on MN and thank god evryone's doing fine :)
Had chck-ups and scans recently and babies doing well appantly.
Am curently abt 34 wks and walking like a snail's pace. They are abt 2kg each and i cant wait for my due date which is around end of this mth.
Have been having severe heartburn for mths now but cant do anything much :( btw cs is scheduled on the 27th of this mth but after the scan showed that both heads are down, might considr natural birth with epidural.
No way am going thru with just gas/air Grin that too with twins !
Anyways gotta go sleep now as its past 12mn here..
take care all

luv,
nandos
