Hi all,

I feel like I've missed loads - bah to work for making me work at a different site with no internet access!

Massive congrats on the house Dawn!!! That's a southern bargain

Hope everyone is well and I've missed you all

I called my docs at the beginning of the week to se when I had to go in and let them know about my BFP. They said I didn't need to if I was sure it was correct and that I just had to book in with the midwife at 8 weeks. So I have my appointment on Oct 6th - it's feeling a bit more real now

I hope you all have lovely weekends

Saz xx

bluestarlavender · 19/09/2008 16:04

Hey Summer - yay, cycle buddies! We can hold hands together!! Any symptoms yet? It's so nice we can wait together!! Fingers crossed for BFPs for us both...

How are you feeling today? I had several weeping sessions when I first realised we might have problems, so I do understand. I guess we'll have to wait and see how all the tests and x-rays go. Who knows it could be both our months this month!!

bluestarlavender · 19/09/2008 14:22

Hever - hi! Oooh there are a few of us really close. I think Eth is in Herne Hill area. How are you doing??

The hospital said DH won't get the results for a few weeks...well after the 2WW has ended. We'll see what happens...I'm feeling quite philosophical about TTC at the moment. What will be will be!

Just dropping into say Hi everyone. Sounds like this week and last have been a bit of a rollercoster for everyone!! I hope the coming week is much calmer and full of good news!!

Bluestar - When do you get DPs results.

I am in SE London too eltham right now but am hoping to move a bit further out when all is a little more settled.

bluestarlavender · 19/09/2008 10:56

MAF - do you reckon??? LOL, yay! I have found some symptoms this month! To be honest though, I suspect this isn't my cycle. I honestly don't feel any different and apart from the cold, have no symptoms. I am just expecting AF next Friday and am keeping my fingers crossed it stays away for my bday on the Thursday.

Linwin - when will you hear about the job?? I have my fingers crossed for you!

BSL Cold like symptoms are a symptom

bluestarlavender · 19/09/2008 08:42

Hi Dawn,

See if you get 2 more high temps in a row, but it does sound like you OV'ed yesterday!

Congratulations on the house!!! Yay!! and bargain of a price!

I have a stinking cold. Picked it up in the office on Wednesday. Feeling very sorry for myself! 7DPO and feeling no symptoms whatsoever, I can't even look for the sensitive smell thing, cos I'm all bunged up!!

Anyhow, going to see if a nice cuppa will soothe my sore throat!

Big waves!

Sorry - the new temp should have read 36.66!!

xx

DawnAS · 19/09/2008 08:20

Hey all,

Linwin, well done on the job interview and getting back in that saddle!! When will you hear?

Summerbird, I have no idea about accupunture, but you are absolutely meant to have a baby, so you will!!

Thanks all for your best wishes on the house - they have been granted and they accepted our offer of £189k - £11 below the asking price!! Can't believe that we've got a house!!

So girls, a bit confused with my whole chart thing.... Yesterday I got a positive OPK, although EWCM had pretty much dried up and then today, got a .2 temp rise out of the blue - it had been around 36.46 for the last week and then suddenly shot up to 36.6 this morning!! Can I assume then that I OVd yesterday? Very very odd...

Something really funny to tell you... So, last night DH and I were BDing and he was being all silly because we had been saying that it had become a bit of a chore, I can't even remember what he did now, but whatever it was, I laughed out loud. He then stopped "pumping" (sorry TMI), looked around the room and said with a really serious face "What's so funny? Do you want to share it with the rest of the group?" like a school teacher!! And that was it, I laughed until the tears rolled down my face!!!

That thought is going to keep me amused all day!!!

summerbird · 19/09/2008 08:08

linwin i forgot to say good luck for the job interview, and well dont at getting back in the game so quickly!

heylottie yay lets have blue dye together! (turns your wee blue though )

heylottie · 18/09/2008 21:25

Hi vix and thanks for the reassurance! I am not on clomid (yet) but having tests to check I am ovulating, as I suspected I wasn't (no lines on the opk EVER and no EWCM, ever)

But it appears I am, just about, ovulating... I guess my egg just doesn't shout about it and is a bit shy about making its presence known... unlike me!!!

I guess next step is the dye through the tubes as well!- we'll do it together!

summerbird · 18/09/2008 20:12

Thank you one and all for your supportive messages, i have had a good blub to DH tonight (i am also v stressed at work too which doesnt help). But you have all been lovely to thank you! DH ran me a bath with candles and had a glass of wine ready for me!!

BSL that treatment you mention is what i am going to have, they are going to inject the dye, do an xray and if possible try and prod the blockage away (ouch) and thank you for the link too, i shall check it out.

dawn good news about the mortgage - phew! i am v excited about your offer too.

so is nobody near Altrincham then? we will just have to have a big meet up in the middle when we all have our babas!

Vix67 · 18/09/2008 19:32

heylottie my blood levels last month were 34 and the doctor said anything over 30 means you are having a normal ovulatory cycle. Another girl on another thread said she fell PG on level 32. So think u should be fine!! Are you on clomid, is that why they are monitoring your blood tests??

Summerbird i hope everything goes ok with your tubes xx When is ur xray??

Hi everyone else xx

heylottie · 18/09/2008 17:30

Have to say I have had lots of really positive things about accupuncture, summerbird - certainly it's something I would consider.
Has anyone tried chinese medicine? Have to say I am sceptical about this sort of thing but I may give it a go.

I have made an appointment to see the doc (in over a week, soonest I could get it) to talk through my blood results.

Apparently they are normal (but where they fall in the normal range I don't know) and my progesterone level (day 21 ish) is 30.4.

I have skim read the web for whether that is ok - I THINK that is borderline. Can anyone enlighten me?

Dawn I am 1road down from South Furzeham! Small small TTC world.

Good luck with the job Linwin when will you hear?

bluestarlavender · 18/09/2008 16:41

Hi everyone,

My chat with my boss went really well!! Much better than I hoped!! If all goes to plan, I may well be shifting into a new role in January!! YAY!! MAF - luckily it was a t-con, so no pudlle could be seen

Linwin - I'm in Chislehurst! I love Blackheath and Greenwich...it's only about a 10-15 min drive to Blackheath

Summerbird - I thought blocked fallopian tubes were fixable...? I was reading about a new treatment which is much less invasive, where they put dye in to see the blockage and then using a thin wire unblock the tube...anyhow, I think there's lots of suggestion of natural rememdies too. Here's the link:
http://www.babyworld.co.uk/information/trying/infertility_treatments/surgery.asp

Wishin - yup Eastender is another soap! I think you guys can get it there, but on rental from a DVD club

Big waves to everyone...I have to crack on with more work! having a very very busy week!

Grrr, I just typed a really long message and obviously done stupid and its not posted!

Anyway, news is I've had a job interview today, which went quite well but don't feel like I'm in the right frame of mind - still at least its progress.

MAF I am in SE London! Blackheath, and its so nice there.

Summerbird I echo what the other girls have said. I've definitely heard of these problems being overcome and ending up in lovely babies.

BSL I sympathise about AF

Dawn so exciting about your house. Fingers crossed you get the offer!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to everyone else

wishinanhopin · 18/09/2008 14:43

Summer keep your chin up. I don't know anyone personally who has had success with accupuncture for blocked fallopian tubes but I have read about it alot. I would try it for sure, like MAF said. Also if that doesn't work I do know a girl that had micro-surgery to attempt to repair the tubes and remove the blocked segment-she has 2 children now 3 yrs and 6 months.

summerbird · 18/09/2008 14:34

thanks MAF i may consider acupuncture!

makingafamily · 18/09/2008 14:24

Hey Summer

A colleague of me had a blocked tube and had acupuncture and now has a beautiful 1 year old boy Good luck for the xray

BSL Try not to pee yourself hun or u may find you spending the meeting explaining the puddle on the floor ;)

Ooh I'm Hackney, East London. Dont go South of the river very often as i get a rash

bluestarlavender · 18/09/2008 14:01

Popping on to say I'm a Londoner! SE...

Got my big boss talk in a min!! Peeing my pants!

OP posts:
summerbird · 18/09/2008 13:47

MAF i used to live in London, well Sutton which is strictly Surrey so i can be a virtual londoner!!

so i went to the hospital this morn, Am a bit bamboozled as she has told me that when they did their investigations in July they found both tubes blocked. I thought she said it was only the left one? Anyway regardless I am going to go for xray to know for sure, as she said that sometimes the tubes can spasm when under anaesthetic so I am keeping everything crossed that is what happened.

But on the other hand I am a bit concerned that if they really are blocked then we are stuffed so to speak! Am going shopping tonight for shoes - need retail therapy!

makingafamily · 18/09/2008 13:45

Eek! Am i the only londoner on here?

I've set up a Fertility Friends thingy but need to start BBT which i always forget

makingafamily · 18/09/2008 13:23

Afternoon ladies

Dawn hope everything is ok with the mortgage, i have no idea about the impact of mergers

BSL Good Luck for DH's Tests

Lots of mid cyclers at the mo Good luck for lots of BFP's

babydust, youghurt pots and anti-recession dust for us all

DawnAS · 18/09/2008 13:19

Hey all,

Panic over re the mortgage (thanks for your concern Summerbird)... I thought the Bank of Scotland and the Royal Bank of Scotland were the same thing, but apparently they're not.

We're getting our mortgage with "Royal Bank of Scotland" which is not affected... Phew!!!

Heylottie, I lived in Brixham for a while when I worked at Nortel. I loved it there!! I used to live in South Furzeham Road, doing a house-share with another girl from Nortel. I've also lived in Torquay, Kingskerswell and Kingsteignton, not forgetting Milton Keynes!!

Not that I get around... although DH probably wouldn't agree - ha ha !!
