Had such high hopes this time due to the awkward spotting - but am officially out as AF did show up overnight with a vengeance.

On to the next cycle again 🥲

At least me and DH had a nice trip planned to Lake District so hopefully gets my mind off of it a bit, really really hoping for a sticky baby next cycle.

Definitely phone on Monday. I hope they agree to do something! I always bleed within 3 days of stopping the pill! Even if i missed one I would bleed 3 days later, it was super annoying 😂 your situation seems so unusual!

I’m still unclear where I am this first cycle after early MMC in July and not yet had AF. Going off CM & libido I could have ovulated last weekend, so around 6 DPO today is my best guess. Just want the next week to go quickly, so I can start tracking properly again!

Sorry about the BFN! But yes, if it was a “test from day of missed period” then it’s not very sensitive at all! So could definitely just be too early.

I have managed to hold out! But now I’m symptom spotting like crazy, which is silly as I’ve never had any pregnancy symptoms this early with my others! But feeling bloated/ sore in the pelvic area, and like my boobs are more sensitive than usual. Sure it is all in the head though 😂😢 have no reason to believe this month is any different to all the others where it hasn’t worked. Oh the TTC mood swings!

It is really odd! Contraception can do weird things.
Not the same, but I had the copper coil in a few years ago and was constantly bleeding, just a small about of brown blood everyday. No cycle at all! The GP thought if it was taken out it would solve the problem but it didn’t and I needed two different drugs to kick-start my cycle again. Once my cycle was re-started I did conceive quickly.
Hope the GP can provide some answers on Monday!

Being unsure about ovulation/ where you are in the cycle is the worst! Makes the wait feel so much longer. Have you TTC this cycle or are you waiting for AF first before trying?

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy Yep we have tried, we covered every 2 days from when bleeding stopped and then when saw CM for 2 days, did next day and one after that (what I’m thinking may be ovulation). Not noticed any since. I know hormones are still settling though so really don’t know what to expect.

We’ve been trying for our first since Feb this year, but only using Flo app. The first cycle we tracked LH in May was when we conceived! Could have just been a coincidence but as my cycles since coming off pill have been anywhere between 29-37 days, I’ve never known when I ovulate. So keen to get back to the strips!

It was a bit of a different situation @inkgirl (I was coming off non-hormonal contraception) but that was how they described it to me - trying to re-start my cycle.

It was 5 years ago so I can’t remember exactly but I think they gave me something to stop the bleeding (maybe tranexamic acid) followed by a very high dose of progesterone which, when I stopped taking forced a withdrawal bleed. This seemed to shock my body back i to working 😂

I already had my PCOS diagnosis which might have made things simpler as the GP had a reason for my lack of cycle?

Sounds like you have it covered really well! And if your fertile CM has dried up you probably got it right. Fingers crossed that this is your cycle!

Yes, Lh strips help so much with irregular periods! I try to dtd every other day but sometimes we are just too tired so it nice to know that it’s unlikely to matter much as my Lh is low 😂

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy I know what you mean about wanting to cover regularly but sometimes not feeling up to it! I’m away from my partner this weekend so trying to relax that it isn’t in my control 😂

Think we are at a similar spot. I have no willpower so I will probably test from Tuesday

I suppose if it was a chemical they do say you’re supposedly more fertile in the months after but there’s no way of knowing either whether it actually was.

TTC baby 3. I’m 1DPO (or maybe it’s today)- it’s been my first time using ovulation strips so not really sure and my cycles are a bit all over the place.
I had my first miscarriage in June so am just feeling desperate to be pregnant again.
my first two pregnancies happened straight away (first was a big surprise) and so I’ve never really done any of this but I’m very anxious since the miscarriage about getting, and staying pregnant.
I’ve given the shettles method a whirl this month as it’s my first time actively trying and already have two boys. Happy with a healthy baby in any flavour though!
I found doing the ovulation strips (and the deed!) gave me a focus (I’m a planner and hate not being able to control everything…) but now I just have to wait until I can test and I’m already struggling one day in 🥲
How do you do it?!
