TTC NOVEMBER 2021

I try really hard not to talk about my OH especially on and media/online platforms. But I am so annoyed with his lack of commitment to TTC. He has gone on about baby #2 plenty enough and I finally got in the same place as him. Yet each cycle I find him to make excuses for not DTD (tired, work busy ect) it's infuriating! I don't know why it comes a such a surprise to him to have to engage in intemacy more frequently as I ovulate but he seams to be surprised each bloody time.
Its really annoying me, to the point I'm going to tell him I don't want another if he carries on this lack of commitment. Can't be arsed with all the TTC stress we went through last time to not have his full attention to the deeds.

@alexalexalex18 Sperm can stay alive in your Fallopian tubes for up to five days too, so you want a nice supply ready and waiting for the egg and if you try and predict the time of ovulation, it might be too late for the sperm to get up there and meet it!!

Honestly, the best thing to do is kind of forget about the window and just have fun - we DTD from the day after my period finished until a couple days past ovulation - after your peak OPK, you’ll ovulate anywhere between 24-72 hours after, so it’s really hard to pinpoint, so just get going!

I might be feeling some ovulation pain but not sure as I just had an UTI.
No eggwhite ovulation mucus either yet.
I just don’t want to miss my window.
How long after the LH surge does ovulation actually happen?
Should I try tomorrow or on Saturday?

@alexalexalex18 looks close if not it! I’d just get DTD over the next few days to make sure you catch it!

I didn’t think I’d ovulated this month as I never got a test past a faint line, but low and behold some miracle happened!

Hey ladies,
Ovulation is due, I tested today with 2 strips from different boxes.
Is it a surge? App says ill ovulate on Saturday.
When do you think we should try conceiving?
It does require a little planning because of work shifts…

@ajayelbee this is such a worrying time. I had scans throughout my last pregnancy as I was just worried. Try to take your mind off by doing things you enjoy or watch a good boxset! It's sooo hard not worrying and there's no stopping it, just distraction! X

@ajayelbee I’m due today too and can’t shake the feeling of absolute terror!

Did another test last night and this is my progression over three days, so hoping that’s a good sign!

We’ve decided to go for a 6 week scan at Window to the Womb and if there’s a heartbeat, I know it’ll just put my mind at rest a bit more - just need to get through these next two weeks as I’m still running to the loo thinking I’ve bled!

Now I know why parents don’t let their kids do anything! 😂😂

@Cmacq32 I think you’ll be fine, your OPKs are picking up your LH surge which happens around 24-36 hours before ovulation so having DTD this morning they’ll be there and waiting for the egg to show it’s face soon 😊

My ovulation is all over the place. I've been tracking with opks since CD 7 and it has had no LH surge at all even yesterday. Then today I woke up and bam it was positive.
So we DTD this morning but is it too late already? Usually we would try a few days before but OH has been super busy with work and also I didn't think ovulation was close. I ovulate CD 19 last cycle and today is cd15.
Should we keep DTD tomorrow? How long will I 'be positive' for ovulation?

Urg, I hated doing this the first time around and now I remember the absolute stress it gives! I just feel my body gave me no clues and then today its all flappy!!

Morning @ajayelbee, thanks for checking in 😊 yesterday passed uneventfully thank goodness. I haven’t retested again yet but hoping all is well! Hope today passes smoothly for you too, it’s understandable to be worried, I think we all want this so badly yet we have no control over the outcome, which naturally causes worry I think. That’s great news you’ve got another strong positive, everything’s heading in the right direction 😊

@SantiagoSister how did you get on through yesterday? It’s my AF due day today, but I’ve just had a super strong positive. I don’t know why I’m still worried but I can’t shake it.

Really sorry to hear you are out @ali2021 😔 you job must make that dreaded AF arrival even harder. Good suggestion from the doctor I think, I never knew if it was true but it seems to work for a lot of the ladies on a TTC Facebook group I’m on, the month they stopped tracking was the month they fell. Let’s hope that’s on the cards for you next cycle ✨

@Tinks53 I am so sorry for your loss, and I’m sorry you’re in the same horrible boat as me 😔 I’m completely with you on the rollercoaster of it all. Pregnancy after loss is not an easy journey. Gentle congratulations on your new pregnancy too, that’s wonderful news. I will keep everything crossed for us that these are our rainbow babies ❤️ I’ll give you a private message if you don’t mind.

@ali2021 - sounds a bit crazy and probably TMI, but we DTD every day from the end of my period for about ten days (until the day after I ovulated) and used Conceive Plus lube too!

I also lay on my back (feet in the air not necessary and a bit of a myth!) for about half an hour after each time to let it pool around my cervix.

Not sure if we were lucky or if anything we did worked particularly, but just hoping and praying for a healthy, sticky bean now!

Hi ladies, I’ve been lurking on here and I may have benefited from this lucky thread as I got my Positive. I took a test an early test and it was negative waited a few more days and AF didn’t arrive so thought I do another test fully expecting a negative but thankfully it wasn’t!!!! So thank you all! And congratulations to all the BFP!

@Cmacq32 I am also still breastfeeding my daughter and my cycle is very very similar. I think it is considered a short leutal phase and I had got myself convinced It was going to cause problems but it worked for us this month so my fingers are crossed for you xx

@SantiagoSister congrats on your new pregnancy, I also suffered a late loss this year in May, I lost my son due to birth defects so I’m with you on the anxiety, trying to take it day by day but it’s such a rollercoaster, then I had covid 3 day after conception so that’s another thing to stress about . I hope you are doing ok and I desperately hope we both get out rainbow babies xxx

Well, I'm officially out for this month. It's just such a hard day when AF arrives. Anybody else just feel so annoyed at their body? I'm a teacher of young children and find it such a tough day to be around such gorgeous little things.
I spoke to my GP last week while getting bloods taken. She suggested ditching OPKs and just DTD every other day or every 3 days during my cycle, to ensure there's a constant supply of live sperm. I'll try it this month I think.

Hi @Mumwanttobe, sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your periods being so irregular 😔 have you spoken to your GP about it? Hopefully they could help you get your cycles back in sync. I’ve been trying for 7 months now,
Stopped contraception back in April (10 years on pill can’t remember how irregular period was)
Got my af day 37 of cycle in May
June and July af was non existent
started af on August 30th
Got af 8th November day 40 of cycle
Today is day 54 of cycle and af hasn’t showed up

@Curlywurly3 try not to panic, HCG only doubles every 48 hours (and at a different rate for everyone too) so it’s possible not to see much progression on tests the next day, the cramps are scary but can be completely normal I’ve been told. Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

Testing again at 11DPO, the line is the same as yesterday if not a smidge lighter. Cramping a lot and AF due today. I’ll see what tomorrow brings. Congratulations to everyone on their BFPs! X

Is anyone familiar with short leutal phase?
I'm still breastfeeding and i used to ovulate Day 14. It's currently 19/20. My period cycle is still the same 28-31 days. Is this window considered a short leutal phase?

Any thought welcomed.
