@Eli2020 😂😂😂 good idea!

Eli2020 · 23/06/2020 14:59

@chloedancer897 good luck with that-I hope you find it less painful than i do. OH is actually excited I'm not keen on the syringes as he wants to use them to put jam in donuts 🤷‍♀️😂

chloedancer897 · 23/06/2020 14:55

Agree with @DBTJ my husband definitely felt a bit used after a while so that's why I've spiced it up.

@Eli2020 I've never tried it but I'll try the syringe to see. It's worth a shot!

DBTJ · 23/06/2020 14:52

I personally never told him anything about ovulating cervix etc, infact before MC I was actually acting like I didn't want a baby and talked about going on depo. Obvs now he knows I was lying as we've have 2 MC.
I feel only one of us needs to feel pressured.
You have to remember they might start feeling a little used rather than actually wanted. I would say go with the flow dont tell them anything and just act like you genuinely want some love making rather than just having sex 😏

VP91x · 23/06/2020 14:51

Welcome @bxiiboo so sorry that you have suffered a loss even more so getting that reassurance and still losing 😩.

@Hayleylou89 it's great you are being referred and hooefully you are really well looked after. When will you go to pre term clinic?

@2020wish how many dpo are you now? And CD?

@chloedancer897 I've used pre seed previous cycles but I've stopped using because apparently it isn't worth it if you normally get a fair amount of EWCM anyway. But, definitely worth a shot! Feti-lily I have too, I think its good to keep everything in!xx

OP posts:
Eli2020 · 23/06/2020 14:49

@chloedancer897 I've upped my game with pre-seed this cycle too. Are you using the syringe every time you are using it? I frankly didn't like the feeling at all so I wonder if it will have the same effect if you just "slap it on" 🙈 x

Eli2020 · 23/06/2020 14:47

Hey @Hayleylou89 may I please ask what do you mean by "they refer you to pre term labour clinic if you've had biopsy" ? I've had cone biopsy in the past and have always been worried whether it will have any effect on me getting pregnant or staying pregnant so will be very grateful if you can kindly explain to me if having biopsy has had any impact on your pregnancy x

chloedancer897 · 23/06/2020 14:12

@SmileyT I do think there is a lot of pressure on men when TTC. They have to have sex, they have to be horny, they have to finish. I think it puts a lot of stress on them (speaking from personal experience, we went through this last year). I found it was easier talking about everything and putting it all out there. We went to counselling too as recommended by our consultant.

The last few months we've actually started to enjoy sex again, it was a chore for so long. I bought sexy underwear, we started doing position of the day lol, just little things to mix it up and make it more fun

2020wish · 23/06/2020 14:12

@SmileyT it’s so hard to set the balance right isn’t it? It’s like men love sex but when we need a baby from it they go all weird and pressured lol 😂 I never expected ttc to be like this... I thought it would be a breeze considering my partner had a high sex drive and now he’s feeling the pressure and having trouble some times but when I tell him we can cool down a bit and stop for now he doesn’t want too... I’m almost close to offering him if he wants to do it in a cup in his own time and I’ll use a turkey baster lol

SmileyT · 23/06/2020 13:59

@VP91x no real reason, he got really upset about it, I'm guessing it's pressure even though I've said we don't have to do it on set days and he can set the agenda, but obviously he is putting pressure on himself, I dunno 🤷🏾‍♀️ i'm just going to focus on our relationship for the next few days rather than ttc, but after a MC it's even harder to do that x

@Hayleylou89 glad it all went well and that you are being well and truly looked after this time ☺️☺️☺️

2020wish · 23/06/2020 13:50

@DBTJ I’ve went back over my charts to see if I missed up ovulation and ovulated late but no it seems I def ovulated on CD14/15 and I’m now cycle day 30/31 so I should 100% getting clear positive test by now? Have no idea what’s going on. I got back AF cramps on Friday night and was expecting her to show on sat but literally no cramps at all since. Boobs aren’t even tender yet. Definitely know she she’s going to come just dunno why she hasn’t

chloedancer897 · 23/06/2020 13:47

Has anyone used pre-seed or a fertilily with any success on here? I'm upping my game this cycle. DH even asked me today what CD I was on! I was totally shocked. He said he's really sad. We would be booking this week with our MC so it's hitting us hard.

DBTJ · 23/06/2020 13:27

@2020wish not being able to feel cervix might be a good thing. Don't know about green and yellow thoHmm
Maybe you implanted yet don't rule yourself out enjoy the beautiful weather and stay distracted

2020wish · 23/06/2020 12:50

@VP91x yes test was stark white and I’ve none left now so won’t be testing again lol

@DBTJ discharge was like the lightest pink tinged this morning.. now it’s like green/yellow tinged... I actually thought it was wee at first. I still can’t feel my cervix. So annoying

I’ve no idea why AF just hasn’t showed today 2 days late now and I’m never late :( last month I was by one day but that was because I actually had a chemical that was showing positive on digitals.

@MichT4 every month I am up and down after ovulation and going back and forth: it’s emotionally exhausting. Fingers crossed for that BFP this month tho

@mrsssk hahah just went on a read some. Too funny. Think I’ll make myself a cup of tea and read them

@bxiiboo so sorry for your loss. That must of been so hard with the constant bleeding. I can’t help with the thyroid but I’m sure some lovely ladies on this board can

@Hayleylou89 glad the appointment went well and you are now referred to the preterm labour clinic. Fingers crossed you won’t be needing a avail of that tho

Hayleylou89 · 23/06/2020 11:56

Thanks girls

@IWM20 @HopeForRainbowbaby @SmileyT
appt went well and i found out they now refer you to preterm labour clinic if uv had lletz and a biopsy now, which was my whole argument after Bonnie was born early...seems like they have now changed the boundries for referring to preterm labour... little too late but atleast something good has come out of something horrendous 😓 x

@VP91 i think once i hopefully get past 12 weeks time will start to fly by then and hopefully more of the covid restrictions are lifted too, ill possibly need a stitch between 12-16 weeks but wont know until im seen at preterm labour clinic. x

@renna glad to hear you havnt given up! I think the preseed is a good idea and also get that grapefruit juice down you in the next few days! I swear it helped me!! Pray u catch this cycle 🤞🏻🌈💙💗 xx

IWM20 · 23/06/2020 11:35

@bxiiboo I am so sorry to hear about your loss 😔 there really are no words for how painful it is. You're definitely in the right place, this is the most supportive thread I've come accross. I have got an Underactive thyroid which was diagnosed about 11 years ago now. I take levothyroxine everyday. I had a MC in May and am now pregnant 4 weeks and 4 days. Praying that everything will be okay 😔. Sending you so much baby dust and I hope it happens soon 💕

@Hayleylou89 let us know how your app goes ☺️ that seems to have come round quickly but the days tend to drag on when you're waiting

Sending love to everyone Xxx

bxiiboo · 23/06/2020 11:02

Hi guys, hope you don't mind me joining. I've been following these threads for a while after MC in April at 12 weeks following a bleed at 6 and 8 weeks (scan showed heartbeat at both scans).
Been TTC ever since with no luck after falling PG first cycle last time.
I have no thyroid glad and my levels have come back really high from my last bloods so have reduced my levothyroxine meds- anyone else have thyroid issues on here?
And thank you, it's so comforting knowing that I'm not the only one obsessing over TTC!

mrsssk · 23/06/2020 10:52

@VP91x there is a whole section called "Mumsnet Classic": www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics

My fave so far has been reality vs expectations of new purchases:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/3106919-Anyone-want-to-come-and-mourn-the-reality-vs-expectation-of-new-purchases-with-me

I had a stitch from laughing so much. The AIBU ones are pretty ridic too lol

VP91x · 23/06/2020 10:42

@Wishingfornumber2 so annoying that you can't distinguish, everything crossed for you xx

@MichT4 definitely the TWW is full of google, symptoms and emotional dump days. Complete mess! The aim I think is to just try and stay as distracted as possible (impossible).

@mrsssk where are these threads that you speak of? I was reading some on the AIBU board and people get so wound up 🤷😂

mrsssk · 23/06/2020 10:39

@HopeForRainbowbaby @MichT4 I had some light pink spotting over Sunday and Monday which seems to have stopped now. Got slight sore boobs today and feeling a bit bloated - sooo... could be anything really! can't really discern between AF and pg. I've needed to pee a bit more frequently but I have a feeling that's due to upping my water intake in the hot weather.

I'd assume your cycle goes back to normal quicker too, fx we both get answers soon!
Walks and visits from mums sound lovely. Hopefully the natural Vit D helps lift everyones moods as well :)
My partner is at work until 6, so once he gets home- hoping we can enjoy some of this amazing weather

HopeForRainbowbaby · 23/06/2020 10:30

@mrsssk I'm already at max cycle length before MC. I'm not sure what to expect from cycle ( including MC in May). My cycle was 33 days after first MC but it was at 9th week, this one is after 5th week pregnancy so I would assume my cycle goes back normal faster. Do you have any period symptoms ? I'm also trying to distract myself, do things at home outside of work, walks etc

MichT4 · 23/06/2020 10:18

@mrsssk I'm glad it's not just me. And you're right - I need distracting. Luckily my Mum is coming to see me later so that's my afternoon sorted, and I have a fairly flexible working week this week - lots of walks and relaxing are in order. The hard work is done now, so just have to wait I suppose. Might as well try and make it bearable.

Any symptoms? xx

mrsssk · 23/06/2020 10:11

@MichT4 Yes, exactly what you described. I've been on an emotional rollercoaster! I've been feeling really positive and will suddenly catch myself thinking "oh it's so unlikely I will catch again this cycle" and get myself down in the dumps. But honestly, distractions are the way to go, even if it's just for a couple of hours or so. I've also been doing some light exercise and yoga daily which has helped keep nerves at bay

mrsssk · 23/06/2020 10:08

@HopeForRainbowbaby how long is your typical cycle? I'm also 13DPO (going by my rubbish first time ever attempts at using OPKS). The wait for AF to turn up is actual agony right now. Been distracting myself with work and reading some hilarious threads on the mumsnet classics section

MichT4 · 23/06/2020 09:47

Ladies, does anyone’s TWW go in peaks and troughs? Literally gone from super positive to feeling all deflated and down that it hasn’t happened, and inside my body there’s a sign whether it might happen or definitely hasn’t, and I don’t know which it is. It’s just hit me like a wave, the negative thoughts again.

Is it just me? I guess these days between ovu and possible implantation are the worst ones 🤷🏻‍♀️
