Come over to new thread 19

flossy12 · 04/06/2019 23:16

We'll cycle #1 has officially finished today! AF showed up just before we went to the cinema 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️😂 35 day cycle this time

Onto cycle #2 I go!

granddesigns · 04/06/2019 22:07

Place marking on another new thread. Not sure what the situation is this month as all a bit strange in the aftermath of friends miscarriage. Af due next week and fully expecting her but also feeling knackered and a bit queasy but generally evenings only and very stressed with work right now - could be anything and am not too hopeful but will see what happens and pick up the ball again in June if needed!

Lozzlepop · 04/06/2019 13:11

@MrsH497 I got my OH to bring my laptop charger home so I could do some bits whilst I was off. I am so sorry to hear some of your friends haven't been there for you but like you say, it shows who your true friends are at times like these!

@cupcakesandglitter I am actually glad she is here as it means we can try again next cycle 👌🏻 sorry to hear about the BFN I know how frustrating it is having just been there so fingers crossed you get some answers soon!

@MrsEG its been fab! Just back from getting my nails done and about to start packing!! I will be drinking and eating all the naughty things for us all 😂

@Starkid fingers crossed that you caught OV its sounds like have being going at it DTD wise 😄

@ValidUser thank hun but its actually a relief this time around, thats good your trigger positives are getting fainter, when will you be testing?

@purplefig oooo your chart looks good!! Fx for you!!

ImMeantToBeWorking · 04/06/2019 12:40

@orangeloo thanks for the tip. We have done plenty of doggy recently but not during fertile window! lol

ImMeantToBeWorking · 04/06/2019 12:39

@MrsEG yeah I think so too, Saturday is the day before AF is due so it should be good then!! Fingers crossed.

Yeah I am the same today so I am. Have done feck all work except send in the hours for the lads to get paid on Friday! lol

orangeloo · 04/06/2019 12:32

Yes @FlapJackered I suppose that will be the real test haha.

Also ladies I watched a video on YouTube yesterday and the girl was talking about what they did differently when they got their bfp ( they had tried for 14 months!). She was talking about the 'position' she was in when they conceived and it was doggy. Missionary is prob the go to for ttc however she said she has been told before she has a tilted pelvis or cervix and now she thinks about it she's sure her two previous pregnancies were also conceived doggy and cant believe she didn't think of that before. Obviously not proven or will apply to everyone but definitely something to think about and thought it was worth sharing with you xx

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 12:29

@ImMeantToBeWorking I personally think 5 days before your period is a real stretch and have only ever seen decent lines from 11-12DPO (and even then they’re quite faint!) - so I think if you can hold out til 13DPO as you say, you should be fine :)

I know - it’s so tempting to just hit delete all! Such a boring task (hence why I am all over MN this morning instead ha!!)

Good luck with your test x

ImMeantToBeWorking · 04/06/2019 12:26

Thanks @MrsEG I will head to boots later. I know they say they work 5 days before missed period or whatever but I always wonder!! Sorry to hear about the 700 emails, just delete them all and claim you never got them!!

I am the oposite it is a slow day in work for me, boss in a meeting and I need him to come out so I can go through some bits with him before he heads off on holidays tomorrow. I will probably have a quite week in here!! Needed after the mental-ness of weekend last week!!

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 12:23

@FlapJackered I did actually put my Ava back on for the first time last night just to get some data back on there before we start trying again so good idea, will see how that looks the next day or two!! I just can’t believe with the knowledge I reckon I now have on TTC (I swear I could write my own book) I manage to slip up over EWCM! I’m almost 100% certain we won’t have caught at all and I guess ‘worst’ case I’ll get pregnant but will at least be under a fertility consultant by then who can maybe help out if I need any medical intervention.

Your pains sound so strange? Keep an eye on them - if it gets quite painful maybe call your GP?

@purplefig Ha!! I was so obsessed with my Ava chart last month I literally couldn’t wait to wake up and sync the data - i’d feel so nervous waiting for it to load!! Honestly, the things we do. Just a few more days for you to wait!

@ValidUser Really hoping those tests start getting darker for you now this week!!

@starkid Great to hear from you! If you’ve been DTD every other day I think you’re absolutely fine :)

FlapJackered · 04/06/2019 12:15

@orangeloo I was very sceptical about it, as I don't really understand how it works! But I do believe that ovulating 5 days earlier was due to the acupuncture as I did nothing else differently. I just hope it gets me a bfp then I will be telling everyone about it!! 😂

FlapJackered · 04/06/2019 12:13

@purplefig @cupcakesandglitter I wish! I don't think so though it happens when I move and I don't think implantation pains would be this bad, and it only happens when I move 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have my normal nausea that I usually get when af is coming (didn't get any symptoms when I got my bfp) so trying not to get my hopes up.

@cupcakesandglitter I'm sorry lovely, limbo is the worst! Hopefully it's just too early and a bfp is winging its way to you!

@MrsEG I understand the worry but it sounds like you're safe there. Don't beat yourself up about it, it is easily done.
Have you temped before as maybe take your temp tomorrow morning and if it's similar to your normal post ov temps you are probably ok?

@ValidUser that's great they are almost gone, hopefully then they will start coming back again with a bfp for you!

orangeloo · 04/06/2019 12:01

Thanks for the responses @purplefig @Kiza @starkid think I'll leave it for now and see how I get on with the vits. X

Very interested to hear about your acupuncture experience @FlapJackered as I'm definitely considering this for cycle regulation. I don't ovulate until day 16-19 and I spot. So once I've moved in my house and feel other stuff not working it's on my list to try. Keep us updated x

purplefig · 04/06/2019 11:41

@MrsEG No problem at all! It's a great support network. And replying to other people is a great distraction from obsessing over my chart haha.

@orangeloo Oh right, yeah I really don't know! I'm just having one of these every day (minus the bee stuff) www.babble.com/pregnancy/fertility-smoothie-lori-bregman/ and feeling pretty good on it. Agree it's a world of confusion out there!

MrsH497 · 04/06/2019 11:41

Thanks @cupcakesandglitter and @MrsEG I'm glad I've got you ladies to talk to.
It's been surprising had some lovely messages from people I wouldn't have expected.

ValidUser · 04/06/2019 11:40

@Lozzlepop sorry about AF.

@cupcakesandglitter what a confusing cycle!

@ImMeantToBeWorking First Response should be available in the bigger pharmacies in Ireland. They're good!

My trigger positives are getting fainter!

@FlapJackered thanks for sharing your acupuncture experience, the needle going in I'm ok with it's when they twizzle th damn things! Very alarming to forget a needle in your ear!! 😨

@orangeloo coincidentally I posted about this yesterday, I've read tons that say it's great for both male and female fertility so I'm going to start taking a teaspoon a day (don't need a lot). Also vitamin C for men is great too!

Love how many of you can WFH, wish I could do that, it'll help so much with the work life balance.

@MrsEG I agree with that EWCM is often pre ovulation (usually the day ir two before and is a good sign your fertile and body is ready) I don't know anything about fertility testing I'm afraid so no idea how DTD impacts that 😞

starkid · 04/06/2019 11:40

@MrsEG - I usually have ewcm in the few days leading up to ovulation :)

@orangeloo - I've not, but been taking extra B6 and B12 this cycle to try and boost progesterone too, for 2nd half of cycle... will let everyone know how that goes once I actually ovulate.

All my opk's were still negative yesterday, in fact extremely negative, no sign of any 2nd line at all. Still paranoid I missed it somehow, but we've been dtd every other day still anyway and will just keep testing.
Am also going to stop with the 50mg of B6 for now until beginning of next cycle. Think I read somewhere it was most useful pre-ovulation anyway? I do want to lengthen my luteal phase, but also want to actually ovulate sometime soon 😬 will see if stopping it will bring it on...

Don't really like messing around with my cycles like this as was quite regular and predictable before, so maybe I'll leave it til the rest of our tests/scans are done and know what's actually wrong before trying to fix other potential problems!

orangeloo · 04/06/2019 11:34

@purplefig I've heard it's amazing at balancing hormones but also read stay away if your oestrogen dominant (which I could be?) as think my progesterone may be low. Think I'll try my vit c, magnesium and b vits and see if they help first. Why is everything ttc so confusing and conflicting!?

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 11:34

@cupcakesandglitter @purplefig Thanks ladies, I do feel a bit better now. So glad I have this thread and you guys to help talk me down from the ledge at times!!
