Also @Blueowlstar your Saturday plans sound like either a great distraction or secret celebration! I'm out for a lovely dinner Friday night so I'm going to distract myself with that.

Naughtysausage · 15/01/2019 10:54

@Blueowlstar it's my first month trying for number 2.

And I'm impressed with trying for baby 5. I think I'm slightly daft for trying for #2! @HMIB

Blueowlstar · 14/01/2019 22:30

@Naughtysausage well I’m going on the basis of a 28 week cycle so would be due AF around 23rd so I think if it hasn’t made an appearance by then, I will test a week Friday, if I can hold out long enough. I’m due to go out on the sat for a friends bday, spa and then dinner and drinks so I’ll need to plan. How long have you been trying?

Naughtysausage · 14/01/2019 22:24

@Blueowlstar ooooh when do you think you'll test? I'm holding out till a week on Saturday if AF doesn't come first. I don't feel lucky this month though. Am just not going to have any tests in the house until I actually want to use them.

Peaky1 · 14/01/2019 21:19

Haha! Hubby has 5 brothers and a sister. Everyone assumed she was trying for a girl as the sister is the youngest but they really weren't. His mum told the hospital that they must have been mistaken on a scan because she doesn't know how to make girls. Still didn't believe them until she was born 😆

HMIB · 14/01/2019 21:15

@Peaky1 well this will be our last. We've got a 7 seater car and I can't make DH downgrade to a mini van 😂😂. And we also have 4 boys. So would like the thought of having a girl. But I'm almost certain that when we do have number 5 it'll be a boy. We've already got boys names picked out 😳😂. Think I would panic if I ended up having a girl!! Xx

Peaky1 · 14/01/2019 20:58

Crikey @HMIB you don't mess about! I thought I was nuts going for a third 😂. Mind you, hubby is one of 7 (siblings, not husbands 😳) and his mum just said she loved children so much! I just can't imagine battling with 7 people to brush their teeth in the morning 🙈

HMIB · 14/01/2019 11:24

Hi!! Can I please join this thread!!

I've just finished AF! This was my first af since conceiving my 4th. I'm still breastfeeding my 4th too but it's only a bedtime thing now. So no idea on what my cycle lengths will be but I'm usually around 30 days! So hopefully will be ovulating around the 24th!!

I'm tempted to buy some clear blue ovulation tests as I got pregnant first try using them when ttc #4!

Baby dust to all your lovely ladies!! X

iano · 14/01/2019 08:52

Actually that's rubbish I'm on another one with the same name in the pregnancy section. Will come on your thread...

Blueowlstar · 14/01/2019 08:47

@naughtysausage ah we are at exactly the same point. Although because I had been on the pill for so long I am not sure exactly what my cycle is like normally. However I did get a positive OPK when I had predicted.

Naughtysausage · 14/01/2019 08:21

Congratulations @cosycashmere!

And glad you got your answers @Outwards
How is your DP taking it?

I'm only 5dpo and I've said I won't test unless af is 4 days late (my cycle varies lots). Which seems such a long way away that there doesn't even seem to be much point thinking about it!

iano · 14/01/2019 08:14

@hodgeheg92 that's the one I'm on. I'll hang on in there. It feels like some people are much, much further along.
I'll find it annoying if this one's late too and everyone is showing off their newbornWink

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/3461363-September-2019-babies

That's the link @iano People have been there a little while but I've not been there long and I know from DD1 that the Facebook group we'll (hopefully) create from that will save my sanity! My January 2018 group knew about this current pregnancy before DH Grin

hodgeheg92 · 14/01/2019 07:29

@outwards so glad you've got an answer and there are things that can be done!

Early pregnancy is treating me fairly kindly, I'm exhausted and therefore crabby at DH but think that's more to do with the 1yr old who stopped sleeping through.

Yes @iano I'm on a thread in antenatal clubs called "September 2019 babies?" because that's when I'd be due if this little one sticks, some people are a little further along though I guess because they didn't want to join the August group with an end of August baby maybe?

iano · 13/01/2019 20:26

Have those with a positive migrated to the pregnancy section? If so where? I'm a bit lost in the thread I've joined. Some people are much further along.

*BFP

iano · 13/01/2019 19:45

@Outwards I'm so glad you have some answers!
I hope this will mean a BPF for you very soon.

MrsPMT23 · 13/01/2019 13:47

Congratulations on your BFPs @cosycashmere and @hodgeheg92

I did a FRER on Saturday morning (6 days before AF due) and negative. Apparently they're only 60 something percent accurate that early so going to hold off until AF is due now!

If we don't get a positive this cycle DH is suggesting we hold off next cycle as his parents are going to be in South America for 8 weeks from mid October 😣 and doesn't want them to be away when I'm due.

Outwards · 13/01/2019 13:47

How is everyone doing? Still so glad to see so many BFP's, how's early pregnancy for you all? Any symptoms showing yet? Share all!!

I've been quiet since AF showed for me, and we had all our fertility tests back now and at last, we have some answers. I'm completely shocked that it's DH who had not great news (I was convinced it was me), but he has a borderline sperm count/quality.

I wish we'd done the tests sooner. I'm relieved to finally have some answers, and looks like DH can focus on improving the count. Lots of things to try!

I'm feeling positive again now, strangely, even though it's bad news, I feel less in the dark! Good luck everyone x

Blueowlstar · 13/01/2019 11:05

Hi everyone, I wondered if I could jump in on the thread. I am ttc #no3 and currently 4dpo. With my first 2 I wasn’t trying and fell pregnant so this is the first time that I have actively been trying for a baby. I came off the pill in Dec when my DH said shall we try for a third and so I didn’t know if my body would even ovulate straight away but I got a positive OPK on 9th Jan accompanied by pains in the left side of my womb all day. I am really hoping we will be lucky and fall pregnant this month but the only signs I have had so far is slight breast pain. When would be a good time to take a first test?

HeartvsHead · 13/01/2019 08:54

Yay to the BFPs!! Congratulations!

My cycles vary between 33-37 days so it's a long old wait for me yet. Should be able to test around the 26th/27th. Feeling hopeful but we will see.

hodgeheg92 · 13/01/2019 07:57

@cosycashmere Congratulations! Maybe see you on the antenatal thread Smile

I'm good thank you, I POAS again yesterday, just to be sure and I'm definitely pregnant. It's starting to sink in slowly now!

cosycashmere · 13/01/2019 07:29

I got a positive yesterday! Still shocked and trying not to get too excited yet but seems so surreal.
@hodgeheg92 how are you doing?
@MrsPMT23 any news? I've got my fingers so crossed for you!

hodgeheg92 · 13/01/2019 07:19

Just seeing how everyone is doing?
Congratulations to you too @ohsure!
