So I couldn't find a May thread, so I thought I'd start one for all of us who have dropped off the April thread.

Aunty arrived this morning so I 've just started cycle 4. TTC #2. Just had a long cycle so if this is the same length my most fertile time will be over Easter weekend.

So I might go all pagan and invoke some Spring fertility goddess. Or something. Or piss on some sticks.

?? Good luck, Spring Goddesses.

Its really sad that i've become the resident know it all isn't it!! HAHA! But I secretly love it! And have far too much time on my hands, so spend far too long on google!
What cd are you now Linda?

gennibugs · 30/04/2014 19:55

Hi kitty

Are you planning to poas if no AF soon?

lindamagoo · 30/04/2014 19:49

Hi Kitty, how frustrating for you. Hope you find out one way or another soon.

English I know I must be a pain in the arse to you with all my questions but I find you much easier to understand than google Grin so here goes with another! Do you think today's test results mean I must have ov'd on cd13 and not cd17? Would the result have been lower if I'd ov'd later?

KittyVonCatsington · 30/04/2014 19:43

Hopping over to the May bus officially. On CD 30 with a BFN on CD29 and no AF yet.

KittyVonCatsington TTC #1 Cycle 6 (early mc cycle 3) BFP ???

Hello dragon lovers!!!! Dragon

Disposable cups could be a plan. It's a small school though, cups turning up in the ladies bin could arouse suspicion...

Ooh, just remembered. I've got some weeny waxed paper sauce ramekins that I pinched from my previous job. Those would scrunch up small enough to be wrapped in a paper towel or dumped in the sanitary bin after. Aiming could be messy, but I do love a challenge! Job done.

gennibugs · 30/04/2014 19:35

retro Could you leave some disposable cups in your handbag to use at school? And then just take your bag into the ladies and bin the cups after?

lindamagoo · 30/04/2014 19:03

Oh Retro I don't blame you for not wanting shop tests again after this month Hmm Good luck in May Smile

Thanks English and Victoria, I'm just gona see how things go over the next few cycles before I panic about anything. As long as my cycles stay regular I don't think I have anything to worry about though.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 30/04/2014 18:54

Linda i think generally over 30 indicates ovulation. But I do know that Choccy was put on progesterone for her recurrent chemical pregnancies after a post ovulation progesterone level of 36 I think. But then she had reason to go on it. I wouldn't worry about it too much. If the drs say its fine, try to roll with it Smile

RetroHippy · 30/04/2014 18:37

Or a very watertight bottle in my handbag. Then I can pee at home.

RetroHippy · 30/04/2014 18:33

Do you think anyone at work would cotton on if I stashed a ramekin in the staff loos for 4:30 OPK time? Last cycle I OPK-d I was part time so could dash off early and still get everything done. Now I need to be there till half 5 and I can't hold it that long!

RetroHippy · 30/04/2014 18:25

My bastard peesticks have arrived! I am ready for you May!

I will obvs not need more than a month's worth as I will be totes preggers by the end of next week but it's always nice to have spares Wink

And shop bought peesticks can Fuck Right Off after this last cycle Angry

xBlueberry88x · 30/04/2014 17:52

Afternoon ladies

Im on my phone so cant really catch up properly

linda I still have my fingers crossed

Welcome to all the newbies the bus is really full this month

wanna it took me 3 and a half years to persuade my DP and then he finally gives in and no bfp over a year has passed grrr

So today ive had more bleeding most brownish but a bit of red then it pretty much disappeared still a bit brown when I wipe (tmi)
Had a bit of cramping but not the same as the ovulation pain I had last month
Opks are paler than they should but are darker than when I started im about cd14/15

Getting worried now!

sammyj85 · 30/04/2014 17:44

Hi, my stats are 29, ttc#1 cycle 3. Bfp due 10th may.

victoria401 · 30/04/2014 17:38

Are you/have you been on any contraception. Might take a while for your cycles to regulate after that. Even though most of them say its instant I've heard a few women on here say it took time to regulate. It might be good to work out what's what for a few months? Find out when you ovulate and stuff and learn to recognize the signs. Sorry if you know all this already :-)

I regret not making observations of my cycles when I first stopped contraception after like a million years on it. It was only after 9/10 months ttc when we were not preg I started taking notes. Not much to go on when you seek help from the doctor after 12months and you don't know when/if you ovulate etc!

gennibugs · 30/04/2014 17:24

wannabe sorry to read that. It is scary I think in a way.

maybe suggest to him that you could try but not try. sort of a just see what happens?

spinningirl10 · 30/04/2014 17:10

Oh wannabe maybe you can have chat to him about it tonight. Maybe Point out to him that it can take some time, you just never know, obviously some ladies are lucky first time!

Wow, we're into May tomorrow and this thread is nearly full already Grin

hanflan · 30/04/2014 15:38

Oh wannabesedated I'm sorry. It's scary when faced with the reality though, after just thinking of it as a "some time soon" concept. I was ready for ages and then as soon as my DH said "yes, let's go for it" I was terrified! He might come round soon. Fingers crossed.

victoria401 · 30/04/2014 15:20

Linda over 30 is good but I don't know what is best to sustain a pregnancy. My day 21 was 43 but I obviously didn't get preg. I think the over 20 you might read is an American good and they use different units.

Sorry to hear your dh is putting off ttc wanna. How long does he want to wait? I regret waiting as you don't know how long it will take. I was ready 18months ago and I'm still waiting for my bfp.

wannabesedated · 30/04/2014 15:12

Oh. Well, after one post, I may be leaving the May club again as DH is feeling stressed about work and wants to wait longer after all. Which is his right and I am not going to moan at him, I am doing my best to be supportive! But I am feeling rather deflated. He's been saying for years that he was ready whenever I was, and now I've got all happy and excited, that turns out not to be true. :(

lindamagoo · 30/04/2014 14:15

Thank you hanflan, it's all very confusing and doctor google just makes it worse. I know I ovulated but would be good to know if 36 is a good number to sustain a healthy pregnancy, especially at my age

MissMrsMummy · 30/04/2014 14:12

Oh Waffley how awful?don't apologise for sharing - I did ask after all! Not heard of that before. I understand how that would make you apprehensive Thanks

hanflan · 30/04/2014 13:59

And somewhere else said above 20! Hmmmm

hanflan · 30/04/2014 13:58

Apparently if it above 30 then you have definitely ovulated. That's what a bit of googling told me haha!

lindamagoo · 30/04/2014 13:39

Is there a set number your progesterone level has to be over for ovulation? I never even asked the doc, was just told no further action required so phoned back and the receptionist said the level was 36. What would it be if I hadn't ovulated? For any of you well educated mumsnetters Smile Just curious
