Just Shagging Part 10; No science or skill, JS at will!

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/06/2012 14:03

Welcome to the lazy way to make a baby, part 10!!

Just Shagging (JS) is ttc using ye olde shagging & crossing fingers methods, our tools are your body, OH?s body..urm some wine & lots of finger crossing.

All are welcome, most leave happy & upduffed! The last two threads have been very successful; thread 8 had 5 BFP?s, thread 9 had 6 BFP?s....so we?re due 7 BFP?s here, which means we all need to get shagging.

We don?t ?do?; OPKS, taking temp or harcore charting...although it is nice to know when ERTD is due.
Which brings us to acronyms & slang;
AF=ERTD (Evil Red Tide Of Doom).
EWCM=Pant Snot
Getting a BFP soon after joining thread= Doing a kitten
You=Are a viroid, no idea why but it goes long back to the dawn of time.
DTD=JS or donning the Shag cape.
POAS=Sometimes referred to as PIAR (Pissing In A Ramekin), as we?re such classy ladies

Here is last thread for proof that it works, and that you can't shut us up Grin

Here is the Graduates thread!

Decided to pop back and catch up and am very pleased to see the BFP's - congrats all...

Horse I feel your pain - literally. For the first time ever I have a UTI as well and its been agony - ended up at the Walk In centre and its getting sorted out now with some antibiotics. Unfortunately I have the most disgusting medicine that makes me gag - but it seems to be working - have you tried anything? Its potassium citrate (or something like that) but it has stopped the burning pain. Unfortunately I think its come at the worst time in the month (bloomin typical) but I'm trying to be more chilled out about the whole TTC thing and only JS because I want to - not because I think it needs to be done to get PG. I say trying tho, because I don't think its working - I am broody as hell every time I see children, or even adverts/storylines on TV. Oh well, at least I feel better and its DP's birthday so we may need to have a 'gentle' JS tonight... (And def not the rampant sort that probably got me into this trouble in the first place)

Hello to all the new faces!!!! Hope your stay here is short and sweet!

Kittenkatzen · 20/08/2012 16:34

swimming unfortunately I have no tips at all for the 2ww, but can at least offer some companionship as I'm also on knicker patrol atm....ertd bfp due next Tuesday. Nothing to report as yet - have been prodding the boobage to see if they're sore, but no

33andTTC · 20/08/2012 16:22

thanks kitten I might just try that Voodoo doll boss idea. Recon I might hang it by its bits out the window and hope a seagull pecks it to death.

I recommend drinking like a horse! It will so stort itself out.

I have had monthly mouse in today, interested to see if my second ERTD of the month is anything much. No pains or hurty boobs like the first one... Is this CD1 or CD13?!!!

swimmingnotdrowning · 20/08/2012 15:16

PS horse boo to uti - my friend who is a GP and gets utis herself says the best thing by far is to drink as many pints of water as you physically can and then some more and keep going that way. You're going to be at the loo pretty much all the time anyway and that way your wee is so dilute that it doesn't hurt nearly so much.

swimmingnotdrowning · 20/08/2012 15:14

notso quite a few people on these threads have suggested taking a break from ttc for a couple of months to focus on their relationship and regain their sanity. Could this be one of those times for you?

If not, and it is an unremittingly rubbish time, then I'm with hooya - hope and chocolate are the best way forward.

Does anyone have any tips for concentrating during the tww? If I'm not here, I'm in the loo staring at my pants. In neither place am I working and it's more than a week to go still. I was doing so well and now I have butterfly brain which will last until ERTD bfp (did I really just type that?) in the middle of next week. Argh. Help?

Kittenkatzen · 20/08/2012 14:09

ooh we're not quite ready for a new thred just yet are we?! horse I hope the uti buggers off sharpish. hope you're not feeling too crappy with it :(

33 re your tosspot boss, i recommend knocking up a makeshift voodoo doll using a stress reliever toy and unwound paperclips to stick in it :o

notso that's rubbish news about the stents :( as the others have said though, there's always hope and, frustrating as it is, all you can do is keep trying - it'll be worth it in the end!

AWomanCalledHorse · 20/08/2012 13:49

Oh myyyyy! I go away for a week & everyone is pregnant....congratulations to all!! Grin
practising, you'll have to name change soon!!

notso, it is utter poo when you start ttc & everything decides to work against you, hope DH is stent-less asap..and second Hooya's suggestion of reading the success stories.

I have the worlds worst possible uti atm (how many acronyms can you fit in a sentence!), so we're not ttc...
It's ttc boards rulez that the member who has been on here the longest starts the next thread...could someone else start the next one, I'm a bit :( about having to be on here so long!

Sorry you are down, notso, it's a rough ride and seems to have no rhyme or reason as far as anyone can tell. But there are so many people here to support you, have a good cry with you, swear about how unfair it all is...

I would have a good cry, read some of the amazing success stories, and eat something unhealthy!

notsoold · 20/08/2012 12:58

hooya thanks hun....reading our post and crying....thanks again...

Hooya · 20/08/2012 12:52

Oh notso I can imagine how frustrating that must be - and the kind of thing where you need to blame someone though there isn't anyone to blame! I had never heard of stents before (had to google it) but sounds nasty!

Reading loads of threads here on MN, and amazing stories of conception, I think you've only left it too late if you're actually menopausal - seems there is always hope, it can just take a frustratingly long time!

notsoold · 20/08/2012 12:38

hooya... I can say that I was up in the night reading your post :)
33, christine it took me a while for my ERTD to settle when I came of the pill (aeons ago).

Well , we had a phone call that dh stents will be on until September the 17th missing yet another month to ttc.... I am doing some serious thinking here trying not to get cross with dh( not his fault), trying not yo give up the whole business, trying not to thinking that we missed our turn ( old and decrepit that we are)....
Overall rubbish time so I am shutting up now. Sorry for ranting :(

Hooya · 20/08/2012 12:17

notso I'm a Brit but live in Asia, several hours ahead of the UK! I'm often on here when everyone else is asleep, and have to prevent myself from multi-post mentalism!

33 and christine seems like we're all in the same boat - first or second cycle off the pill and ERTD just not behaving at all! My return of ERTD (2 days after it stopped) was short and is now just kind of pinkish stuff... so will nervously return to JSing and hope DP doesn't get any more nasty surprises!

33 my boss is clinically insane and can be a right prick at times, but I like to remember that he probably leads a sad lonely life outside of work [big grin] does that make me a bad person? and that the idea that he should dictate my mood is just wrong!

33andTTC · 20/08/2012 11:57

Hi, yes first after pill. I know im being unreasonable to expect smooth cycles straight away but my heart just wants Bfp and im acting spoilt about it i know. Having shitty time at work as boss is being petty wanker so really dont want to be here with AF head on as i might just kill him or do something that will lose me my job. Aaaaaahhhhhggrrrrrrrrrrr!

Kittenkatzen · 20/08/2012 10:23

Morning all!

practising keeping the run of bfp's going I see, good work - congratulations! :):):)

33/christine are you both on your first cycle post-pill? Not very helpful I know, but it really can take a couple of months for things to settle down in there. Christine did you not have a final withdrawal bleed after stopping the pill then? Did you stop at a funny time?

ChristineDaae · 20/08/2012 08:28

Hi all and congrats on the latest BFPs.
I'm now up to 4 weeks off the pill, 11 weeks since the start of my last ERTD!! What the heck is going on?!??Angry

33andTTC · 20/08/2012 07:32

TMI for a monday morning but it was very thin a almost pink. Wore a tampon overnight in case. Will see soon. Not sure what is is. Dont know now even what cycle day i am on. Grrrr

notsoold · 19/08/2012 23:23

hooya morning???
Whereabouts are you???
People I am lurking and reading as even jsing is out of the window with the stents in place.
That upset me... but poor dh needs the treatment....

Hooya · 19/08/2012 23:18

Morning all!

swimming that is true, there could be an upside, if my cycle is long enough to actually ov and get things ready in there! Plus less waiting around to find out, I suppose!

33 I've just had something similar - first ERTD off pill was fine, second one was after only 23 days, and then more bleeding 2 days after it finished. I was a bit worried and very grumpy (after the pill, who wants ERTD half the time?) but I think people here are right, give it time and hopefully it will sort itself out. I am trying to ignore the concept of implantation as apparently only 25% of people get any symptoms of it at all, so don't want to get my hopes up!

fryingpantoface · 19/08/2012 19:35

How odd 33! is it a proper ertd or could it be implantation?

I've never had implantation bleeding so I don't know how common it is

33andTTC · 19/08/2012 19:00

Sorry ertd!

33andTTC · 19/08/2012 19:00

Weird. Had first AF since coming off pill wed 8th. Just been to loo and seems AF is back again? Whats that all about?

swimmingnotdrowning · 19/08/2012 13:01

Congratulations practising!

And hooya - i guess it is a bit early to know how your cycle will be once it settles down (mine was whacky for a few months when I came off the pill years ago) and maybe you can look at it that shorter cycles means more opportunities (if it is a 3 week cycle then 15 weeks you'll have had 5 shots at it and people with 5 week cycles will only get 3) so there might be an upside??

Hooya · 19/08/2012 05:42

Hello all! Any more BFPs since the last time I logged in? Probably! Grin

So after getting my ERTD 5 days early, it stopped after 5 days, we got back from hols yesterday and resumed JSing today - and DP got a (TMI alert) nasty surprise afterwards... now ERTD seems to be back, what the hell is going on? If this cycle is anything to go by, I am going to spend 6 or 7 days every 23 days having ERTD or something like it. After 16 blissful years of perfectly timed ERTDs every 3 months, I am Angry and Confused.

Sorry to bring down the happy tone on here... hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

Dysgu · 18/08/2012 22:00

WOW - we have really started something with this EOD JSing!

Congratulations to Practising and Frying - you must be in that little pocket of "I can't quite believe it" that I am in!

I am phoning for a doc appointment on Monday - my doctor has been away on holiday but my clearblue digi said 2-3 weeks which is 4-5 weeks, I think! I still keep checking each time I go to the loo though as I keep thinking it hasn't really happened IFKWIM.

We had my family round last night for the fireworks - end of Cowes Week and we can see them from our garden overlooking the sea (with a lot of the town in between!) and DP and I were sitting round the table with my parents when everyone else had gone. I kept wondering whether to say anything but we haven't told anyone yet. (Although DP is in the pub with his best friend right now so not sure if it will slip out!)

Fingers crossed for more BFPs for everyone left.

notsoold · 18/08/2012 16:33

Loving the bfps.....
