Welcome to the lazy way to make a baby, part 10!!

Just Shagging (JS) is ttc using ye olde shagging & crossing fingers methods, our tools are your body, OH?s body..urm some wine & lots of finger crossing.

All are welcome, most leave happy & upduffed! The last two threads have been very successful; thread 8 had 5 BFP?s, thread 9 had 6 BFP?s....so we?re due 7 BFP?s here, which means we all need to get shagging.

We don?t ?do?; OPKS, taking temp or harcore charting...although it is nice to know when ERTD is due.
Which brings us to acronyms & slang;
AF=ERTD (Evil Red Tide Of Doom).
EWCM=Pant Snot
Getting a BFP soon after joining thread= Doing a kitten
You=Are a viroid, no idea why but it goes long back to the dawn of time.
DTD=JS or donning the Shag cape.
POAS=Sometimes referred to as PIAR (Pissing In A Ramekin), as we?re such classy ladies

Here is last thread for proof that it works, and that you can't shut us up Grin

Here is the Graduates thread!

Oh I am so gld to hear that others are not going to be the stay at home mums, I was starting to feel bad. DH is going to take some of my ML and do a compressed week at work. I don't have such a flexible employer.

Hi Suffolk and Alice the start of term is rubbish for JSing, you will be in the swing by Oct. Wink

Paralympic opening ceremony today. It seems like a lot longer than a month ago that we were talking about the Olympic opening ceremony. TTC does make time do funny things.

swimmingnotdrowning · 29/08/2012 08:50

Hi suffolk, hi alice. Nice to have you

AndieMatrix · 28/08/2012 22:00

Welcome Suffolk (ooh cake! You're more than welcome here!) & alice!

swimming, I'm sure bf would understand if you said you were waiting to confirm baby is sticking before telling her?

Hooya, don't make me hooya you! PIAR!

Hi all...another busy day at work over with, thank god!

I'm going back after 3 months too, Hooya. H2B will be far better at entertaining the little one than me. He likes kids' TV too, which is one up on me!

Kittenkatzen · 28/08/2012 15:03

hooya I too think you should piar immediately and report back to us! How many dpo are you?

swimming I think it would depend on the friend really - do you think she'd be upset by that then? Would you be upset if it was the other way round? Either way, if you don't want to tell her early then you shouldn't feel bad about it - just explain when you do tell her that you were nervous and didn't want to jinx it....

AndieMatrix · 28/08/2012 14:45

swimming You could tell bf when you eventually come clean that you didn't want to steal her thunder earlier?? Surely she'd understand that you were worried about sharing early in though, especially when you've got another friend struggling through a bad situation?

swimmingnotdrowning · 28/08/2012 14:32

Hello (not echoey at the moment - we're all still here kitten).

Hooya - your cycle is bound to be messed up. If it's possible that you have implantation then you should piar immediately stay clear of blue cheese and booze until your next period is due and piar then. I think you thought you're on short cycles so that shouldn't be too long?

On announcements, I think having the secret with DH would be special and if it did go wrong I'd be glad not to have told everyone (I have a friend having an awful time with an ectopic at the moment and I think it is made worse by the fact that we all knew and were excited for her). My parents would probably guess as soon as I refused a G&T though feeling a bit ashamed about that admission

On the other hand, what would you do if your bf told you she was early pg and you kept yours a secret? My friends are breeding like rabbits at the moment and I have my reasons for believing bf is next in line so this is a likely scenario. Would you end up lying or at least misleading her to cover up? Is that not a bit imbalanced (she wanted to share the most precious secret with you and you haven't returned the compliment)? How would you and she feel about that when you told her?

Hooya · 28/08/2012 13:08

Hello everyone!

Swimming you sound just like me - I need a good hooya (slap) today as I have started convincing myself that strange light ERTD was implantation! I am still resolved NOT to test but have started prodding my boobs, imagining sickness etc. Slaaaaap! The guy who sits opposite me must think I am some insane boob-feeler, oops!

Nicki and Andie nice to know I'm not the only one! I am planning to go back after 3 months (gulp) which is terrifying but DP will be brilliant I am sure and a far better parent than me (I can't cook or anything useful).

33 I like that attitude! I thought we would have a night off yesterday but not to be - I make that 9 shags in 10 days since we got back! I am constantly tired and dehydrated!

Kitten it does get quiet around here but there's still a hardcore load of JSers (or load of hardcore JSers Wink ) left!

On announcements, if lucky enough to get duffed I am going to tell just one friend who has had a baby and a couple of MCs, just so I have someone to talk to during the first scary bit. DP will also be allowed to tell one friend, then after whatever important scan (is it 10 or 12 weeks?) we'll tell family and other friends. The looks on our folks' faces if it does happen will be priceless - the all think we are resolved never ever to have kids! MIL in particular will I expect cry happy tears for days!!

Oops sorry for monster post, rambling as usual...

AndieMatrix · 28/08/2012 11:11

Kitten It is nice to have a little secret sometimes. :-) I think mine and DPs little secret is actually TTC, even though I know our fam and friends will be supportive if we do get pg I think us trying for effectively number five might get a lot of these Hmm faces.

Kittenkatzen · 28/08/2012 11:00

This really has been a successful thread hasn't it - it's all but cleared out!

swimming I think we would be keeping it to ourselves until we have photographic evidence so to speak. Partly because I've spent too much time around here to take anything for granted, and partly because I think it would be quite nice to have a little secret of our own for a while. The only person I might have to tel would be my bf who lives round the corner - not a chance I'd get away with avoiding her (or wine!) for 8 weeks :o

So how about you swimming what's your plan?

AWomanCalledHorse · 28/08/2012 10:43

Andie, sorry to hear you lost your Nan :(
I'm closer to my Nan than anyone else in my family & am so grateful that she's around still.

Swimming, I'd tell my Nan & PIL before 12wks but no one else. I've never been one to think pregnant=healthy live baby at the end (every couple we know aside from us has had some form of pg loss) so I guess we're marred by that.

Kitten, think we're all that's left! Damn the success of this thread! Grin

33, just think of it as practise!

Hope everyone has a great week!

All busy DTD.lol

Kittenkatzen · 28/08/2012 09:31

hello?

HELLOOOOOOOOOO OO OO OO OO OO O O O.....

bit quiet round here innit! :o

33andTTC · 27/08/2012 19:04

No idea where i am on cycle so have jsd just in case

AndieMatrix · 27/08/2012 16:04

swimming Sounds like you're having a slow day. Hope you're ok.
I'd have to tell my mom straight away. Told her as soon as I found out about DS and DD. Told my nan about DS at 10wks cos she was ill and I was always very close to her (she died before my scan! Sad). Everyone else I waited til 12 weeks. Think I text scan pictures. So it'll probably be the same this time. Unless DP has another genius (and probably geeky) idea about it. Grin
