Just Shagging Part 10; No science or skill, JS at will!

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/06/2012 14:03

Welcome to the lazy way to make a baby, part 10!!

Just Shagging (JS) is ttc using ye olde shagging & crossing fingers methods, our tools are your body, OH?s body..urm some wine & lots of finger crossing.

All are welcome, most leave happy & upduffed! The last two threads have been very successful; thread 8 had 5 BFP?s, thread 9 had 6 BFP?s....so we?re due 7 BFP?s here, which means we all need to get shagging.

We don?t ?do?; OPKS, taking temp or harcore charting...although it is nice to know when ERTD is due.
Which brings us to acronyms & slang;
AF=ERTD (Evil Red Tide Of Doom).
EWCM=Pant Snot
Getting a BFP soon after joining thread= Doing a kitten
You=Are a viroid, no idea why but it goes long back to the dawn of time.
DTD=JS or donning the Shag cape.
POAS=Sometimes referred to as PIAR (Pissing In A Ramekin), as we?re such classy ladies

Here is last thread for proof that it works, and that you can't shut us up Grin

Here is the Graduates thread!

Hey! I am a Bolton girl :) originally from Northumberland.

I'm pretty sure ertd has ended. It's gone all quiet. shag cape to be ironed! We're going to see Batman tomorrow so tomorrow night baby!

WingDefence · 24/07/2012 18:55

Well I'm further north and east of the spot between Bolton & Sp
Southport but not in the NE IYSWIM :) I am in Lancashire, are you in Tyne & Wear?

If you look further up, here should be a roll call. Please as yourself - and you too Hooya!

swimmingnotdrowning · 24/07/2012 18:47

Further north and east!

WingDefence · 24/07/2012 18:42

Well tell us where you are Swimming and we'll see! I'm in the NW (nice and general) Nicola there is fairly near me in Southport and Frying (I think) is in Bolton which is also vaguely near in a different direction.

:)

NicolaHazel · 24/07/2012 18:11

Woman...I have just had to suppress a snort of laughter on the train when picturing the thermometer insertion technique mentioned! :-)

And hi to Hooya too, I'm another 17 years on hormonal BC TTCer. I do find my body a bit odd without it! I certainly don't remember all these weird internal feelings around OV. :-/

swimmingnotdrowning · 24/07/2012 18:07

Hi hooya. Now I'm not the new girl! I am, however, the girl with pms cramps who is getting a cold - boo hiss.

It is muggy and overcast here too (wouldn't it be weird if we are people who pass each other on the street and it turns out we know about each other's pant snot!?). wing better be careful!!

Fx for top. And happy JS to everyone else - hope the muggyness doesn't put a dampner on things (pun poor but intentional).

AWomanCalledHorse · 24/07/2012 17:37

Welcome Hooya!

Kitten, hope your day has improved? summer thrush is the worst!

2ww sounds like a nightmare (wasn't ttc last time so only tested on the off chance), I got bad enough last month being a week late!

Guinea, you do realise if you get a BFP this month we'll all have to start charting & shoving thermometers up our collective foofs...or is that not where you measure temp when ttc? I have no idea!

frying, YAY! for first word & getting his big boy shoes! Grin
DS is crawling, trying to pull himself up & is babbling..he makes a 'mamama' sound when sad which gets to me!
And hurrah for you dying down!

top, fingers are crossed here for the morning poas-ing!!

OP posts:
fryingpantoface · 24/07/2012 17:27

Welcome thread newbies!

It's all dying down here, thankfully, I'm at the brown blood stage of ertd (I'd apologise for the TMI, but you are all filthy anyways and love it! :)) which is good. Today is my 4th day on, so hoping I'm off soon.

It's hot and muggy here which is rubbish. My son said his first word today (Hello) which is exciting and we're getting his first pair of shoes in Friday because he's starting to walk!

WingDefence · 24/07/2012 16:59

Guinea that is very funny about your progress on your 'experiment'!

Welcome to Hooya and hello again to Swimming and blardy good luck to you Top!

ERTD is just creeeeeeping along here like it did last month (but that was after 9 days) and if it weren't here I'd swear I had pg symptoms but I keep giving myself a good shake and reminding myself that I'm not. Dur.

I'm on annual leave the next two days as DH is down to London for work so I've planned some fab things to do with DS. Including visiting a RL friend on Thurs who I found out a few weeks ago is a MNer but I have no idea who. I shall have to be super careful not to mention this thread or my MN nickname to her! otherwise I'd have to name change again which would be a PITA

I hope you're all enjoying the nice weather btw. It's been overcast and muggy up here. Joy!

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 24/07/2012 16:49

Welcome Hooya - I too thought DP was the naughty acronym when I first read it Grin! Not sure about the hips, will let you know.

Practising you'd be surprised how excited EVERYONE gets when shown amazing kitchenware! Men are the worst...I love having men at my shows, they always end up spending a fortune Wink! Some people have a PC party just to have a fun night in, but most people leave addicted to stoneware. Where do you live?

I am currently being bitten to death. Suddenly these itchy red spots appear, I find it very weird. DD is poorly. Nursery rang me to pick her up. She's currently fast asleep on the sofa with Ice Age 3 in the background. She NEVER sleeps at home during the day so she really must be ill.

So my charting is going well - managed to do one day out of 6 and even then I have no idea what the tempertaure actually was as I read it half asleep and then the thermometer ran out of batteries. JSing it is then...

topbannana · 24/07/2012 16:21

Ha ha kitten I am off to agility with the dog so skinny white jeans are not really the order of the day :o Perhaps I will take to my bed in a delicate and refined manner and wait for things to progress Hmm

Kittenkatzen · 24/07/2012 15:58

oh and swimming in answer to your question about coping/working during the 2ww - i don't! Luckily for me my work have yet to ban MN on works computers....dread to think what my web history must look like! Confused

Kittenkatzen · 24/07/2012 15:56

Welcome hooya! :o at you on here singing to yourself occasionally! Thanks for the natural yoghurt tip, I'm pretty sure you apply it rather than eat it so will give it a go tonight!

top eeek how frustrating. I think you should give luring ertd out one last ditch attempt this evening by donning white skinny jeans and a pair of roller skates and then zooming round your local town centre grinning like you've never heard of PMT.... :o

topbannana · 24/07/2012 15:39

Hmm So I cracked and bought a HPT but the bastard pharmacist gave me ones that work from the first day of missed ERTD. I had convinced myself there was a very faint line but now it seems to have faded.
I have done all I can to lure ERTD out into the open, I have worn white trousers, been bike riding and now bought a HPT- now all I can do is wait and test again in the morning!

Hooya · 24/07/2012 15:23

Now the me me me is over, kitten I always heard natural yoghurt is good, but don't know if you're supposed to eat it or, erm, apply it...

child huge congrats!

wing I would join a procrastination thread... after a suitable wait of course!

frying same here though not as dramatic with the over-zealous ERTD - DP pointed at the sheets in a most sarcastic way this morning!

guinea how funny about the hips. Does it really help? I like to doze off to sleep right after so may need DP to give me similar 'encouragement'!

topbannana · 24/07/2012 15:23

Welcome hooya! Getting busy on here again :)

Hooya · 24/07/2012 14:58

another newbie here. Brand new to TTC and MN. Getting the hang of things including the acronyms, though when I first read "DP" I thought it meant something much naughtier! Wink

Decided to TTC a month ago, just having my first proper ERTD after 17 years on the pill. Reminded me why I usually skipped it when on the pill!

So the shag cape is laid out nicely on the bed (and another on the kitchen table, in the shower... Grin ). I am currently labouring under the illusion that this will remain fun and I will not go at all mental and obsess about weeing on sticks. Yeah right! Oh and also agree with swimming, this thread is a proper giggle and hard to resist joining even though I am worried posting here will fuel the mental monster within.

Finally I live in Asia so will probably be on here at random times, singing quietly to myself!

Hello to you all!

swimmingnotdrowning · 24/07/2012 13:33

Afternoon all. Poor you kitten - can you nip to a chemist for some help with the thrush - whatever else is going on, thrush won't help. Is it ok to take thrush medicine when ttc? hope frying is feeling better.....

I namechanged from hannahsarah (i just set that up when I first sneaked on here without really thinking about it).

How on earth do you concentrate on RL stuff (e.g. work!) towards the end of the 2ww????

Kittenkatzen · 24/07/2012 09:15

Morning......how is everyone today? Top any news?

I have been such a mardy cow for the last couple of days, I don't know what's wrong with me! Have been properly grumpy with DH who does have an annoying tendency towards self pity, but doesn't really deserve me snapping at him the way I did this morning. Poor DH :(. Grrrrrrr. Everyone on my commute this morning has annoyed me - I even sucked my teeth (loudly) at some poor woman who dared to step the side of the pavement in front of me Confused. Have got a touch of thrush I think too (sorry if you're eating breakfast!) which isn't helping my mood generally.

Anyway, moan over, hope you're all more cheery than me!

fryingpantoface · 24/07/2012 08:47

Good luck tonight!

Practisingparent · 23/07/2012 21:46

Congrats Child. Am just a bit Envy! Its about time ladies (me included), where are all those other BFP'S?

Welcome Hannah.

GuineaGood to hear about pc. I luckily have a large kitchen that could work, just not sure I could get 20 women who would be as interested as me in cooking products! (£100 worth is very tempting!)

Yay, going to get laid tonight!

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 23/07/2012 20:33

Massive congratulations Child, fantastic news!

Frying your wets sounds joyful, hope it sorts itself out soon.

Hannah welcome welcome. On this thread we do advertise JSing but I'm not sure we can guarantee non-craziness! I for one have been a hpt maniac..but am now chilled out JSer not.

We JSd last night. DH told me to keep my hips up afterwards (this is the man who absolutely does not want another baby and has agreed for my sake only!)

DS and DD are sharing a room at home for the first time tonight as DDs room gets really hot as soon as the weather heats up.

ChildOfThe1980s · 23/07/2012 19:56

Thank you everyone and welcome Hannah :)

I've had cramps for the last two days exactly the same as period cramps. Naughty bodies.

topbannana · 23/07/2012 17:35

Welcome Hannah, one in one out- that's neat! :)
I did not buy a HPT in tescos as I has to go to the pharmacy, I had DS with me, and it just seemed a really big step (compared to chucking one in with my shopping!) Popped into Waitrose but they do not have ANY (unless they are hidden with the cigarettes) Obviously today is not my day and the purchase of a HPT seems to bring ERTD on anyway So at present we are none the wiser Hmm

Persuasion · 23/07/2012 17:27

child congratulations! About time there was a BFP!

hannah welcome, come and settle yourself in. I'm mid 2ww and going crazy again too.

So we're JSing with abandon. TTC seems to have done something to our sex drives. It's almost worthy of something - 4 times in the last 2 days Blush Unfortunately I then had a tiny bit of fresh spotting. No idea what it means but hope I've not upset things, eRTD not due for another week or so.
