Sorry for the slightly dark post earlier :)
I am past my angst now and I have beer In fairness we have only been "properly" TTC for the last month so onwards and up.
For now I am watching music videos on YouTube, drinking beer and being ever so slightly dark and maudlin while laughing at DH's ridiculously small stapler (he has countered this by telling me that, while his stapler is small, at least HE has staples whereas me and my large staple are rendered useless by our complete lack of staples to which I have no reply)
And yes frying, next month is ours

Oh Top I am so sorry :( I completely understand how you feel though as we've all felt like that on here even if we don't say so when someone else gets a BFP. I'm actually in denial at the moment and can't feel excited or anything as I'm just worried that I won't reach 12 weeks. Lots of praying chez Wing.

If it's any consolation, I came off the pill in April 2011 when we moved up here and nothing happened. We only started really TTC this March when I thought a year was a fairly long time not to fall pg but I realised we weren't JSing enough throughout the cycle.

I'll retreat from here now but I'll still be lurking. PM me if you want to keep in touch on FB (please not I won't be mentioning being PG on there for quite some time so don't mention it!). x

Sadly the purchase of a HPT seems to have bought ERTD out into the open (finally) so at least we know where we are now. Really quite gutted but this is only our first month of "proper" TTC rather than drunken fumbling
Anyway, after over 3 years trying I should be used to the disappointment by now :(

I'm 35. I don't feel ancient in myself but I know the odds of various things going wrong etc go up when you hit 35. It's all such a miracle isn't it - I mean getting that BFP in the first place, then lasting through the first 12 weeks, then making sure the baby is okay etc etc.

Phew. Deep breaths!

Oh, and in other news I did aerial legs for the first time today, while H2B was in the shower! Though I had mentioned it to him as a post-sex thing just before he buggered off to the bathroom.

And, bless him, he asked me about whether something would help earlier. I think he's finally getting into the mental zone for trying to make a baby :-)

I am sooooo sorry for the delay!! I actually PIARd at 8am and thought I couldn't post and then we came out to the shop and I've just looked at the clock!

Anyway... BFP!!!!!! I honestly can't believe it!!! I'm not surprised in one way as ERTD really wasn't normal and I'm not going to count my chickens until 12 weeks is up because at my age anything could happen but I did buy pregnancy vitamins this morning and popped one while I was in the shop!

It was just a cheapy Internet test so I'm going to test again with my clear blue digital tomorrow to be doubly sure. It wasn't a bright line like the control line but it wasn't so faint that I had to squint. It was definitely there and DH saw it easily with his reading glasses on He was shocked as of course I had told him that ERTD had been.

So sorry for your BFN Top. I was hoping we'd be heading onto the grads thread together :(

We still failed to DTD last night. Thanks to the sodding Olympic opening ceremony. I blame Danny Hitler, as if it was shit we'd have done it. I did suggest bending over a chair during the athletes' parade, but that didn't happen!!

I may have missed the boat this month if it's another 28 day cycle. Buggeration.

And he wouldn't let me use Conceive Plus. Going to demand its use tomorrow.

Wasn't the opening ceremony brilliant!! As I've said up thread (I think), I've been really apathetic about it but our friends came over with magnum ice creams and we watched the whole thing. I thought the only cringeworthy moment was when Sir Paul got out of sync with the music.

You could tell Danny Boyle was from the NW. Lots of dark satanic mills :)

I did think Beckham was going to kick a flaming ball into a cauldron though.

Can't believe I got up so early to watch it! Mostly good / great but McCartney was pretty bad kitten me too, seemed like an odd choice given he looked like his face was falling off!

Loved it. Especially the rings and Mary poppins! Cauldron was brilliant but wellies for team kit - we do have asphalt!
