Hi Manda, we had a good laugh at her Tri1 hormones, mopped up some tears (hers not mine) and then a real good natter about potential varicose veins in her fanjo Smile

I do like cheese so much, there isn't a bad type of cheese as far as I'm concerned - apart from mexican spice, which to be quite frank my DH has never got over his initial experiences of my side effect of said cheese.

would you like a little bit of chutney? it adds a certain something I find

MandaHugNKiss · 25/04/2012 20:04

Pshawww, thanks guys Blush

countrymouse (how apt a mouse would leave cheese for supper Grin )

I think friends fall into two camps - insensitive or caring. Your friend seems to fall into the caring camp, which is great. Could be she realises we can have mixed feelings when we find out those around us are pregnant after we have a loss, and was taking that into consideration. SHe sounds lovely, even if she slightly misjudged how you'd feel.

CountryMouse27 · 25/04/2012 19:51

Hi everyone, I went a bit quiet and shy after my first intro post - god only knows why - but I've been lurking anyway and thought a new shiny would be just the thing. I mmc at the eo March so back to snorting baby dust again, meh.

Anyway, todays theme is that I have v.lovely friend in work with 1 DD who was kinda there for me during my first freak out weeks and was awesome agreeing how bloody shite the mmc was. She's just found out she's BFP and told work today but was super upset telling me while everything is still so fresh.

I am so pleased for her and she's a lovely mummy anyway but was a bit sad that she thought I'd be upset or sad about her news, I'm genuinely happy though and it really cheered me up!

Has anyone else had friends wobbling about telling their good news when they are in this situation?

lays out cheese and tuc biscuits for supper

sunshinesue · 25/04/2012 19:23

Thanks for the new thread boris!

I wrote a long(ish) post this morning that disappeared into the computer sphere, probably just as well as I was just having a bit of a whinge! couldn't be arsed to retype but to summarise there has been fair to moderate metalling in the sunshine house from Mr & Mrs. All par for the course!

MinkyWinky · 25/04/2012 13:40

Hello!

Marking my place as a long time (okay only four months) lurker (and added stats to the the stats thread). I'm at that time of the month, where I'm metalling again. (Feeling sick in the morning, AF due etc etc etc - you know the drill:O) POAS yesterday afternoon and got a BFN so now convinced that AF is on her way but...

MandaHugNKiss · 25/04/2012 13:36

midwife picked up DS2's hb when I booked at 9 weeks - but that's unusual (plus, I was thin and the placenta was low so not obsuring the signal, as it were). You're probably a little bit early for a doppler. Not that I'm pushing them!

And, yes, could start fading 'properly' altogether soon but also might not

leedy · 25/04/2012 13:22

I'm around 8.5 weeks. Hoping upon hope that the random queasiness starts to get better around 10 weeks, I have a dim memory of it doing so with DS.

MandaHugNKiss · 25/04/2012 13:14

leedy they are equally shite. How many weeks are you now? It was at times when I felt 'ok'

MandaHugNKiss · 25/04/2012 13:13

OOOH, shiny new thread - thanks for doing the doings boris you've done a reet good job!

Not sure if my last post on the old thread has been missed by everyone: tita and joy I'm looking at you! but I DID link to the thread where I've posted the link to the New Look video thing I did!

leedy · 25/04/2012 13:11

tedmundo · 25/04/2012 09:23

Hi .. I have been lurking but now feel able to start posting. Just entered my 2ww ... Testing about the 10th may. Had an mc back in early march so this is first proper cycle.

state .. I know what you mean about the stress of a whole pregnancy looming. I had 2dc and then the mc and I feel like it has robbed me of all the ease and fun I had being preggers with the other 2.

Anyway, let's hope I get a Bfp in a couple of weeks and then the metalling will commence!

Congrats to all the lovely ladies with buns cooking in their tummies... Yummy babies here we come!

Tennerlady · 25/04/2012 09:08

stateofconfusion Hope you are ok today.

oneday Hope AF stays away for you.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 25/04/2012 06:37

Morning shiny new thread Smile

2 weeks until my 12 week scan, DP can't help but get excited, he has started asking questions and wanting to feel/talk to my tummy. I know he has been really trying not to incase but now it seems his excitement cup is over flowing.

He keeps asking if I think everything is ok in there, I just tell him that the sickness and other symptoms are reassuring but we can't know until the scan that our little kicker is still with us.

It's his birthday tomorrow, I have to brave the rain and storms to go and buy a bday card and wrapping paper this afternoon.

InsomniaQueen · 24/04/2012 23:51
