Maternity Clothes and me... <shameless>

So, about a month ago there was a link in one of the Mumsnet emails for a 'competition' with New Look to appear in a video promoting their new maternity range...

I clicked.

I won!

And today, they linked me to the end result. I'm the one with the hideous hair wearing a coral/white tent blouse and denim shorts, and secondly a black and white striped maxi. THey've labled me as 'Natalie' but Natalie is the lady in the middle (who they've helpfully labled 'Amanda' - c'est moi)

I'm drawing your attention to it because, as I say in the video, there aren't many maternity ranges on the high street... New Look are often recommended on here for their maternity jeans and now there're all kinds of bits to choose from.

Btw, all the belly rubbbing? That was directed. I absolutely don't usually spend my time dreamily rubbing my huge expanse darling bump. Grin

Ooh I saw this video the other day (via Facebook I think?!) and I quite liked the striped maxi!! Grin

Was a bit Hmm at all the bump rubbing tho!

Did you get to keep the clothes?!?

Initally, they said I'd get to keep the clothes... but on the day they said that wouldn't happen as they were samples and gave me a £50 gift voucher instead.

Which I put in my bag and forgot about! Still I'm 36+6 now so it probably makes sense to wait until after the birth to buy something or give the voucher to my DD17 for christmas Grin

Your hair wasn't hideous. I love the way it was plaited.

I should have been more specific - I also like it when my hair was plaited and off my face, but I really, really didn't like how it was styled down. Seemed to hang in my face and just look... too much!

But was still a fun way to while away a day!

I think the striped maxi is only £24.99 which isn't bad. I'm very nearly 5' 7" and you can see how it skimmed my sandals so that might be something to bear in mind.

That's fab! You look lovely (am rubbing my belly in both unison and delight Grin.

I tried that B&W maxi dress on a few weeks ago but it didn't suit me nearly as much. I did buy the orange/red sundress but yet to wear it due to the inclement weather fact it is pissing down

I think New Look have some good stuff but could do with a bit more. I have a couple of dresses from there now though and a few bits from H&M (am 27 weeks). I bought a couple of dressed from Asos last week. Have to say I have around 10 or more maternity dresses now as I don't tend to wear jeans/trousers/leggings in non-maternity times anyway (just don't feel they suit me). It's an expensive temporary state to be in!

Can't wait for the sun to come through properly. Fed up of having coats that don't do up and a wardrobe full of maternity dresses I can't wear without silly maternity tights falling down and lots of layers. You do have to get some nice maternity wear though as it just makes you feel better :)

I think you look awesome! I even like the hideous white/coral tent top Grin You have fabulous legs - I wish I'm going to look like that in shorts this summer. I also really like the stripey dress, but also the other one - the glasses wearers?
