yellow!!!

Happy birthday to you
I went to the zoo
I saw a fat monkey
And I thought it was you!!

A very, very happy birthday full of wheelbarrow-loads of chocolate fudge cake and bucket-loads of bubbles - on the house tonight!

Harassed, so sorry that's been confirmed, how absolutely gutting for you. A big hug from me Sad

Sparklywine · 23/03/2011 16:42

Grin at "I like to keep my wits about me when we go somewhere new"

Perhaps Yellow can offer up some travel survival tips. Methinks she is the new Ray Mears? But an urban version, about to hit our screens with pointers on how to survive on only croque monsieurs on the rabid streets of Marseilles, and how to disarm an assailant with a stale baguette. When can we catch you, Yellow? Grin

harassedinherpants · 23/03/2011 16:42

Thanks girls! Hcg is practically non-existent unfortunately.....6. So def a mc. I just expected it to be like my first one which was a mc rather than mmc. I'm ok, a bit wobbly obviously, but I hadn't allowed myself to get excited tbh.

Sooooo where's that birtday cake, shift up Yellow!

nurse47 · 23/03/2011 16:41

Harassed I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, I'm sending lots of positive vibes and hugs too.

wombatinwaiting · 23/03/2011 16:38

Oh harassed - so very sorry to read that - how heartbreaking for you. Sending huge hugs and thoughts. Please do let us know how you got on with the bloods. xx

Happy birthday yellow I hope you are getting treated well by DH and you get a treat Wink later or is DH away at the moment?
Get your DH to come along for a night so he can "keep you topped up" on your [taps nose] business trip........

You are very good at keeping track of us all wombat !! impressive stuff! Yes I am on 2ww and have bought 2 bags of brazils to keep in the car and I may be getting a bit addicted! Looking forward to my weekend away with the girls, it's a hen do so will be very silly and immature, I will not be going mad with the alcohol as I like to keep my wits about me when we go somewhere new.

Yes sparkly there are 2 camps (plus lurkers Wink) I hope we don't all disappear as I love my daily chats on here, they tend to be 80% other stuff and only 20% actual conception chat. In fact I reckon I talk to you lot more than my DH!!

Wormshuffler · 23/03/2011 15:59

oh harassed Sad I'm so sorry to hear that, that's shitty. [hug] xxxx

Sparklywine · 23/03/2011 12:54

Oh Harassed, my heart sort of went 'thud' when I read your post, so sorry, when do you get the test results?

harassedinherpants · 23/03/2011 12:34

I ended up at epu as bleeding got worse and bright red. Nothing in womb, but they've taken blood tests just in case. Unconvinced though Sad.

yellow happy birthday lovely.

nurse47 · 23/03/2011 09:02

Happy birthday yellow!! Ill toast you with a large orange juice!! Can I order I plain croissant too!!

Harrassed what day of your cycle you on a had a little bleed the day my af was due did a test a day early as I'm so impatient! I thought the worse but it must have been implantation bleed also I know its personal choice and its nearly killed my DH but we have not had intercourse since I got my +ve test! (And now I'm scared to DTD)
worm there's nothing better than sweet revenge!!!!

Waves to everyone else!!

Sparklywine · 23/03/2011 08:52

Aw, Yellow, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Wombat is really slacking off, she thinks she's on mat leave already Grin

Sparklywine · 23/03/2011 08:49

Morning Harassed, all my bits crossed for you honey. Probably little bean bedding in and getting comfy for the duration x
Morning everyone else! Wombat, almond croissant over here if you please. I may or may not be on the 2ww.

You ok Yellow and Pecka? Thinking last night that the thread might go quiet for a bit (points at Wormythreadkiller accusingly Grin) We've fallen into two camps really, those covered in tomatoes and those waiting for a pelting. I hope we continue to chat and no-one feels they can't say something for risk of upset. Regardless, we are all full of anxiety and hope, that alone should keep us bonded over the breakfast pastries Smile

yellowtomato · 23/03/2011 08:40

Morning ladies

harassed fingers, toes and legs are crossed for you. Was it just a little bit? Has it stopped now? How are you feeling otherwise. Sending sticky thoughts your way.

pecka how you doing today?

worm I start on 31st March which is scarily soon! I laughed at the image of you rubbing your hands with glee at the parking tickets. Thanks for the link to that thread, I love things like that.

sparkly good work on dtd, sounds like you are maximising your chances. I've found out that for my new job I'll most likely be on a business trip at the crucial point next month. That won't help at all.......

wombat MN is the enemy of 'working' from home. It sucks up the hours minutes and before you know where you are it's lunchtime.
I was on an all day shopping trip yesterday trying to get some new clothes before I start my new job so that I will wow them with my fashion flair, or something...
I also have a complaint to make about the catering....where is my birthday cake? I don't want the 'correct' number of candles, we don't want to set the fire alarms off. I was thinking chocolate fudge....

harassedinherpants · 23/03/2011 07:34

A me, me, me post.

Had some pinky discharge this moring. Dtd, last night so hoping its that. Please cross fingers for me Sad.

wombatinwaiting · 23/03/2011 04:43

Morning all and firstly, many apologies for not providing you with the list of specials yesterday, particularly being a monday morning! Today we have a selection of croissants - plain, cheese, almond and chocolate (although we are slightly depleted in the chocolate department - Blush - had to do quality control, you understand....!)

Lovely to hear from you sparkly and glad you've managed to SWI spontaneously - sooooo much nicer that way. It's funny how I think about my parents as we get older - I have started seeing them from a bit more of a distance (obviously a physical distance too) and as normal members of the population, rather than just my parents, and so see different things than I used to - anyone else? Please be assured that I am available for tomato pelting at any stage - in fact we have set up a wipe-able corner in the coffee lounge for such purposes Grin.

Aggghh worm - I was supposed to be doing a bit of work from home this morning before heading off to a meeting (about emotional intelligence which is a subject that fascinates me) and I've been caught up on that embarrassing things thread which is heeeeelarious - love it! Also loving your glee at the parking tickets - too bloody right!

how's the kitten today harassed?

Thinking about you today pecka - hope you're as ok as you can be x

So as far as I can work out, we have emma, worm, sparkly and yellow all on the 2WW - have I got that right? Talking of yellow - you were very quiet yesterday - were you going through your top secret intelligence briefing with the people at HQ? Or perhaps lunch with Judith to brush up on a few tips?! Hope all is well and you're not missing your DP too much.

Right - MUST get on with some work!!

OP posts:
Wormshuffler · 22/03/2011 21:46

I think I killed the thread.......

Wormshuffler · 22/03/2011 19:10

Ah........ my day has been made....The police community support officer was ticketing the lazy inconsiderate bastards people parked illegally at the school this afternoon. Grin Grin [evil laugh emocion]

Wormshuffler · 22/03/2011 14:24

Hi girls
Oh dear harassed poorly kitten, hope it is ok now and doesn't end up costing you at the vets!
sparkly the cottage sounds ace, and every other day is great.
wombat have you heard anything back about the job meetings you had last week yet?
yellow when do you start as the new director general of the BBC? Wink
Pecka hope you are ok if you need a good distraction and have an hour to kill this thread is hilarious ( sorry I don't know how to do the clever linky thing....)

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/1003724-Make-me-laugh-what-s-the-most-cringey-embarrassing-thing/AllOnOnePage#23764205

I am currently skiving off work preparing my presentation, and trying to distact myself from reading all the pregnancy and conception threads. I keep finding myself reading about breast-feeding. Getting a bit ahead of myself i think.....

Sparklywine · 22/03/2011 10:46

Pecka hun, I think it's your due date today? Sending lots of hugs your way, I'm dreading mine and can imagine how you are feeling. Do you have the balloon? Stay strong, we are here if you need.
Can recommend Wombat's muffins, very moist.

Sparklywine · 22/03/2011 10:42

Wombat, what's on special this morning, I'm starving! Pop it over to the chesterfield would you mind, with an extra shot in my americano Grin

How are all the pregnant people doing then? I am starting to feel outnumbered! Grin You will be introducing healthy smoothies and highchairs to our coffee bar, before you know it my sofa will be moved to make way for a soft-play area. It's the thin end of the wedge.
I must admit, I am a bit Envy, only human nature I suppose and it doesn't detract from how delighted I am for you all. When Nurse said how happy she felt I almost welled up, it was so lovely. However, I have been to the greengrocers for some more tomatoes.....Grin
The cottage was nice, I won't say it was a break exactly. I love my dad to bits but we're very similar and can clash, and in his old age he has become quite irritating prone to repetition sometimes. Poor dh, good job there was plenty of whisky to take the edge off for him.
We've managed to swi spontaneously every other day so I'm well topped up, and feeling quite positive, but trying not to put too much pressure on us. DH is rising to the occasion spendidly but refusing to talk about babies or get excited in any way, he just patiently waits for my train of thought to move on to shoes or what to have for tea. Fahlahlah....
Harassed, sorry your kitten is poorly. I was distraught when mine were ill, touch wood they seem to be quite robust now. How does it get on with your children? My nan always told me that cats sit on baby's heads when they sleep, so I'm a bit worried about that.

Anyhow, americano's here, and, what is this, a blueberry muffin, thanks Wombat!

harassedinherpants · 22/03/2011 09:14

Morning!

Oh I'm tired! We have a poorly kitten so I was sort of aware of her, then the alarm went at 5.30 so dh could go for a run, except allegedly poorly kitten decided that was waking up time so yowled at dd and woke her up.... I was making breakfast and emptying dishwasher at 6am.

Pecka thinking of you.

Worm sounds like you need a (()) too.

Yellow mmmm afternoon tea, how lovely.

Nurse glad you had a good scan. I'm also hoping for an 8 week scan, as baby stopped growing at 7 weeks last time. Going to ask doc tomorrow, otherwise will have to go private.

Wombat Yoga sounds good. I used to do it, and miss it, but there aren't any classes at a good time for me.

Waves to sparkly and emma
