If you are TTC after Miscarriage (or waiting to start trying again), this is the place to be. This thread is full of lots of lovely ladies on the post MC rollercoster and is full of support and advice from people who have been through it, and know what you are going through.
Jump on board and join in the for some laughter, crying or even the odd ranting (whatever you need). There?s lots of Wine, Brew (caffeine free of course Smile ) and chocolate, and more importantly, friendly ?ears?.

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Don?t be afraid to ask anything ? nothing is ever TMI!!!

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length
WFT cycle = what the f*uck cycle (cycle after mc but before first AF)
For more accronyms see here

Good luck to all ? The last one was a lucky thread for lots of people so here's hoping for lots more healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread Grin

This is the previous thread

Stats to follow.

Sorry, xposts shorty This is your first AF after WTF cycle isn't it? It will just be your body's way of giving you an overhaul from your MC, clearing out the system so to speak. If you are still bleeding heavy in a couple of days though then contact your gp again. I have been taking Spatone (iron supplement) which might be something you want to consider if the bleed is draining you?

Chloe55 · 23/03/2011 08:23

Oooh sounds lovely meliesmum I think we will be doing something nice like that at the weekend if the weather holds up. The blood stained cm sounds promising. I had implantation bleeds with 2 of my pregnancies. Will be keeping my fingers crossed, would be about the right time for you too wouldn't it?

shorty100 · 23/03/2011 08:22

Morning everyone, fx that its everyones month.

Well af has got alot heavier now and very painful, normally lasts 5 days and on day 5, doesn't look like its going to stop anytime soon.

Minnie I am the same at googling everything. X

meliesmummy · 23/03/2011 08:19

Good morning everyone.

Chloe I don't blame you for giving up the charting, it would take over my life too and as long as you dtd often enough it probably won't make any difference anyway.

I had some blood stained cm when I got up - I'm half thinking implantation bleed (although I didn't have one in my last pgs) :) and half thinking af is coming to get me a week early (in which case the mc has really messed up my cycles) :( , although it's probably just my cervix playing up again and I'm being ridiculous!

It's a beautiful day here so once I've cleaned and sorted the washing we're off to the sea front for a bike ride (well dd will be on the bike, I'll be running behind trying to keep up - she's fast!)

Chloe55 · 23/03/2011 07:15

Yes, magpie watcher here too Grin

Well, no real news to report. Been dtd as often as possible and taking my supplements. Think I will stop the EPO as from today though just in case I ovulate soon. Am not doing the temp charting this time as it ruled my life last month and gave me too much hope and I am POAS (ov) but the more I read about them the less I trust them. So, am just gonna dtd as often as we can over the next week or so so as that inevitably is what we do all this charting for in the first place!

Minnie74 · 22/03/2011 22:52

Hi everyone

mel you're not the only one on magpie watch- if I see one I have to look for another. Three or four and i'm on to baby names- yes ttc is obviously cracking me up!

shorty my af seemed to get back to normal initially quite quickly but now (3 months later) I get two heavy days, a couple of light days and I'm done. Hoping it's not an early menopause- I read far too much on the internet! DP threatened to hide the computer just after the mc as I was totally obsessed with reading anything i could find- not so bad now Smile

meliesmummy · 22/03/2011 17:43

hopeful I bled properly for a week then spotted for a week, but my loss was later. Glad it started naturally for you.

I'm in an optimistic mood because we went on a walk to the school dd starts at in September to see how long it takes with her walking (it's 20 minutes if im on my own, 25-30 with her because we have to stop regulary to button up / undo her cardigan, pick up pine cones etc) and I saw 2 magpies together and then a few seconds later a 3rd. It's amazing what tcc has done to my brain!

How are you reallyuseful if you are lurking?

Bumpwanted · 22/03/2011 16:33

Hopeful sorry you are going through this but glad its started to happen for you naturally. I had a MC at 5 weeks and it was 4 days after my period was due. I had the MC instead of AF essentially. I bled for 6-7 days but I think everyone is different and it also depends if it all comes away properly.

I think my cycle started again straight away. Just trying to judge it from CM (TMI sorry!) it was as though the last day of my miscarriage was the first day of what would be my period of the purpose of my cycle....does that make sense? So, if I put my details into an ovulation tracker, I would say the first day of my period was actually the date I stopped bleeding. I don't know if this is the way it works in reality and suspect it differs from person to person but from my CM and when I think I ovulated I think that is what has happened to me.

xx

Hi All,

Collie - your neighbour sounds like an idiot, sorry I am new here, did she know you mc'd?

Melies- keeping my fingers crossed for you, sounds promising!!

I started bleeding last night and had my hcg levels done today which I am hoping are at 0, will find out tonight.

I have an appt with the fertility doctor tomorrow afternoon. I really want to start the treatment again now as if i have to wait for another af (usually 5 week cycle) I will be in Spain when IUI due. Not sure that he will let me though.

Wish I could just get on with it instead of having to be controlled by doctors all the time!!

Sorry for the moan.

Can I ask as well how long you bleed for? I worked out that only 2 days late so could be normal period as well as mc, is that possible.

Am so confused.

Sorry for being self absorbed!!
But my friend had a mc and fell pregnant the next month without having another period.

MumTumWanted · 22/03/2011 14:42

hi shorty mine was all a little confusing and very short times and im usually a true 28 dayer in my cycle....

my mc 29th dec but did then bleed for 3 weeks!!! then 2 weeks later did get positive ov test. Then 1 week after that got what i ended up considering my first af but this was very light in flow and was all brown (TMI)for 4 days it was suggested this was just left overs from the mc but i felt as i had ovulated it couldnt be. got another postive uv test about 10 days later so started TTC but then got proper af (full red flow) on 9th March.

I mc naturally with no interventions and i was thought to be approaching 8 weeks by my dates but scans showed a sac of only 5 weeks growth not sure if this was why i seemed to get off very lightly in the amount of flow pain etc but i think it could be. Realistically i think we are all different and you can only go with your body looking back at the times of mine it seems something was always going on but in rl it felt like everything took forever to happen.....

i poas (ovulation stick that is ladies before anyone gets too excited or fish slaps me he he he )and i have an absolute undeniable positive opk following 4 days of a feint line i get the feeling our weekend was of no use now !! but was glad that we refrained ( to damn tired) sunday night but did swi last night and i will just for good measure get the suspenders out tonight Wink then its all fingers crossed for me ( though have already started thinking in my head if positive this time would be due 16th dec so could possible try again next month if i dont get a bfp this month, babe would then be due 15th ish jan... we fly to mexico 11th april so would be 3 months just ....thats a possible right ???? )

collie i agree with chloe and the others you have the most insensitive neighbour and she deserves a fish slap too !

waves to all whilst i get the chance and fx for melies though do try to refrain til at least 10 dpo before poas Wink remind me of that in 2 weeks time please !!!

Bumpwanted · 22/03/2011 13:58

Ah thanks Smile I guess after feeling totally out of control the past month or so with the MC I am just obsessing and want to be in control of my body! Suspect I need to relax and go with the flow. Easier said than done I fear!!

Hope you get good news with your test next Thursday!

meliesmummy · 22/03/2011 13:51

I'm not sure bumpwanted, I mc at 11+ weeks and has af 3 weeks later. I think everyone's just different tbh. I hope you aren't waiting long though .

Bumpwanted · 22/03/2011 13:35

Blimey this is confusing! I just thought I'd get my usual AF after MC only a bit heavier. Had no idea it could stop and start and then I could ovulate really quickly!

Shorty and Melies its really helpful to hear what you have experienced. I MC'd really early on at 5 weeks and I feel like my system kick started again pretty much straight after as my hornone levels were back to normal in under a week so I wonder if it makes a differnece how early you MC?

I feel like a total control freak wanting to know exactly what is going to happen when!

xx

meliesmummy · 22/03/2011 13:29

collie don't encourage me!!!! I'm going to be unbearable this week as it is (apologies in advance!) I've vowed not to test until next Thursday at the absolute earliest Chloe, although I might need help to stay strong (I will not waste my money on expensive pee sticks that will only be negative anyway test I will not test...)

shorty mine was massively heavy for a few hours with clots then really light then stopped after 3 days, then restarted and lasted another week although I'm not sure how much of the second bleed was af and how much was coming from my cervix as I think I ovulated 2 days after it stopped (although saying that my edd with my dd from a scan at 8 weeks meant I must have caught about 2 days after my af had finished so anythings possible!

shorty100 · 22/03/2011 12:58

Hello everyone, just wanted to say congrats to cep really happy everything is well. I am on cd 4 if you could update please.

Also just wondered if anyones first af after mc was quite light as keep hearing how heavy everyones was and mine is alot lighter than before.

Chloe55 · 22/03/2011 12:27

collie It is frustrating to listen to pg moaners however I bet this lady hasn't had any fertility problems - I hate pg, absolutely hate it as I find it so uncomfortable, I have a vomit phobia and struggled to walk towards the end, I bet I moaned loads in my first pregnancy. I will never moan again if I am lucky enough to get there Wink Some people just don't know how lucky they are, your neighbour sounds like on of them.

melies fingers xd for you, when will you be POAS then or have you already Grin

Collie2 · 22/03/2011 12:06

mels i had LOTS of creamy cm and had an ache in my lower left side too. wouldn't say cramps, although could never think of better way to describe it. think it strated around 6/7 dpo too!! fx.

Just sat with laptop looking for new car ins as had email today with new quote that has doubled Angry

OP posts:
meliesmummy · 22/03/2011 11:54

collie your neighbour sounds so self absorbed! Well done for not completely losing it! What's wrong with some people?! Try not to worry about your little aches and pains, it's probably your little bean snuggling in (easy for me to say I know!)

Well, im only 7 dpo and the symptom spotting has started...shaky spells, loads of white cm and left sided cramps obviously mean I'm pg!!!

Collie2 · 22/03/2011 10:43

Hello everyone,

Just having a quick catch up as feeling a bit better today. Thanks for all your kind messages and thoughts. mels Nan was on my mums side, I don?t really see anything of my dads side (family dramas). Lost my granddad a year ago too, although he and Nan separated a long time ago. Very close to my Nan, so its been a tough couple of days. We?ve seen her struggle for so long though, I know that she is now resting, but its only a little comfort.

(sorry about that, don?t know where it came from)

chloe I am handing this out < for being so silly about the other day. Smile Your sadness is totally understandable. We?ve all been on here feeling upset at pg announcements in rl. It?s the same thing here, your happy but its tinged with sadness. Anyway, I am loving your determination this month so here?s hoping the 3rd round of clomid is your last, and its 3rd time lucky for you!

cep just wanted to say again how happy I am that bean is ok. And glad that you got a scan pic. Keep it safe!

I?m doing my share of freaking out. Have had all sorts cramps and pains in my stomach for days ? its constant. And the wind Blush ? I?m a disgrace.

Oh yeah, and do you remember my pg neighbour who announced her pg just after I mc ? for those of you who have been on here a while, I had my major meltdown. Blush . Well so far I have managed to avoid not see her, but I bumped into her on the way to the hospital on Saturday. Anyway, out of politeness I asked how she was ? although didn?t actually mentioned the pg. First and only thing out of her mouth was, God I?m fat!!!! (She?s not yet 20wk) So I, quite gracefully I thought, added, well its all in a good cause. To which she retorted ?well when you?re your fat and cant fit ito your jeans its doesn?t feel that way??blah blah blah.? I?d stopped listening by then my head was fizzing and steam pumping out of my ears. Seriously I could have slapped her. Luckily for her me I had had my bfp and had other things on my mind, otherwise god knows what I might have said. In the end I didn?t say anything, I just walked off.

I see from the freak out room we have more bfps?.!!!!

yrmotb where are you up to on your cycle ? you muct have ovulated by now? I want to see you and chloe on the t?other thread this month! x

Good morning

Did you have a nice time ninu? were all of your family really pleased for you?

How are you today collie?

We kind of followed smep Minnie apart from starting a day early and I didn't take any cough medicine.

Thanks for the fish Cep! I needed it! I've still got a week and a half to go, arrrrrr! I hope you ladies have all been fishing and stocked up! Grin

Hi to Chloe and Brooke and everyone else x

Ninunina · 22/03/2011 07:31

Good morning ladies, just trying to catch up after my mini break.

cep I'm so pleased that you saw your lil beans heart beating. Also glad that the bleeding stopped. Let's hope the next 6 weeks fly by problem free.

collie I'm so sorry about your loss.

mini I can personally recommend smeg plan. It certainly worked for a few of us on this thread, including me.

Minnie74 · 21/03/2011 21:41

Thanks mel that makes sense now. Better get the cough medicine out!
On third month with CBFM- might be something similar with the highs and peaks, maybe.
