If you are TTC after Miscarriage (or waiting to start trying again), this is the place to be. This thread is full of lots of lovely ladies on the post MC rollercoster and is full of support and advice from people who have been through it, and know what you are going through.
Jump on board and join in the for some laughter, crying or even the odd ranting (whatever you need). There?s lots of Wine, Brew (caffeine free of course Smile ) and chocolate, and more importantly, friendly ?ears?.

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Don?t be afraid to ask anything ? nothing is ever TMI!!!

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

UCL = usual cycle length
WFT cycle = what the f*uck cycle (cycle after mc but before first AF)
For more accronyms see here

Good luck to all ? The last one was a lucky thread for lots of people so here's hoping for lots more healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread Grin

I've got so much to catch up on! I've been lurking all week but just don't seem to be able to find time to write at the moment.

mouse I'm so sorry to hear you've been having such an awful time. I hope everything goes OK tomorrow and that you can treat yourself to something lovely some time soon.

milky welcome to the thread. I'm sorry for your losses and will go and have a read of your other thread to see what's going on with you.

I'm sure there are lots of other new people who I haven't met yet - looking forward to getting to know you a little more over the next few weeks although fx you won't be here for too long!

Just to introduce myself - I'm ttc my first and had a MC at Christmas. I had a very long WTF cycle and am now in the middle of my first proper cycle. Absolutely NO SIGN of ov yet which is very frustrating but it should be any day now...if indeed I do ov this month...oh it all still feels like mission impossible.

(waves) to cep, collie, chloe, blackat and all you other lovely ladies.

mousebacon · 05/03/2011 19:15

Hey, I'm home. BP is still low so I'm a bit woosy and sore but it's done. I have a night of rubbish tv ahead of me.

Will update properly tomorrow xx

Chloe55 · 05/03/2011 16:50

Nope all I appear to have done is add the whole lot of charts from the gallery!

Does this work:

Chloe55 · 05/03/2011 16:48

milkyway I def know what you mean about planning around a MC Sad No matter how grim it sounds, It's bad when you have had just one but to have 2,3,4 etc it just gets disheartening. I am not booking my July holiday just in case I fall pg and will be less than 14 weeks - if I am not pg by July then I will book a last minute deal. Couldn't bear to be away from home and MC - it was hard enough being down in Brighton for my last one but at least my stepdad drove to get me straight away (or it would have been a train journey) Bless him, he did a 9 hour round trip in one go for me.

Collie Enjoy London! I haven't had a dip - all my temps post ov have been above average, should I have dipped at implantation? I will post my chart if anyone wants to have a look and give me some insight.

No idea if this works but think I followed Ceps instructions correctly:

MumTumWanted · 05/03/2011 16:29

thank goodness i tried to catch up on the olde thread ... youve all run away and left me ! just q quick update ( as ever as you know in the cupboard typing away silently ..)

mouse fingers crossed everything is ok for you today

milkyway big welcome to you sorry that you have found yourself here but everyone is lovely ( though fond of fish slapping )

banana fingers crossed its the good stuff ( ive no isdea how feel for the Cm correctly either but back on the last thread there was some very good advice.

collie no symptom spotting for the next 2 weeks ..... a glass of Wine says i dont believe you ..... haddock at the ready..

hey to cep hows things for you ???

waves to all iove missed ...

as for me ... still no af..... temp steady ( though no idea wtf that means ) and POAS ( yes thats now the 4th and im not due to monday ) pass the haddock ... still a bfn....

meliesmummy · 05/03/2011 16:24

Thanks all.

blackkat before my mc I always spotted for a few days before af (looks as if mc has messed up all our usual cycles doesn't it?) and when I calculated my edd the midwife said to count from the spotting, so it's prob the same for CDs too?

collie enjoy your weekend!

At least if im having af I can open some wine later, silver linings and all that (altho I had planned on swi too, guess that's out the window, dh is gutted!)

Blackkat · 05/03/2011 16:05

Grin Collie, you don't know that I started the paint the frame last August, so it was about time I got my arse in gear!! Grin I will indulge in a Wine tonight, enjoy your fizz (that so needs an emoticon!).

Collie2 · 05/03/2011 15:59

blackkat xpost hope you're ok today. I think you deserve a Wine tonight for painting your frames. We have diy to be getting on with, really should take a leaf out of your book. Smile

Blackkat · 05/03/2011 15:55

Sorry collie XPost, have a lovely wknd in the big smoke

Collie2 · 05/03/2011 15:55

Sorry for all the typos it's a very bumpy road!

OP posts:
Blackkat · 05/03/2011 15:54

mel, I can understand the freaking out, it's so strange when your body doesn't do what you expect. But, your scan was clear and you've had a -ve test so it can only be AF, just different from what you're expecting and used to.
The PL website is brilliant, but remember everyone is different. Smile

FWIW my first AF has me super confused too, I spotted for abt 4 days (never do that) then to proper AF, and far more than normal. So I have no idea what day to count from, so I could be on day 5 or day 8 depending what I count from! Grin

hils great news about the CBdigi

Ifat FX for you

milkyway so glad you've reached a decision

chloe glad you have this eve sorted.

thinking of mouse and hoping today is going well

back to painting my window frames, man my life is exciting Grin

Collie2 · 05/03/2011 15:54

Just poping on while driving down to London (I'm not behind the wheel obv) Smile melies please try not to worry, it it most likely your cycle sorting itself out. You have had a bfn so in all likelihood it's nothing to worry about. Did you have your hcg levels tested? I think LILI had a similar experience a week or two back. I can't remember the detail but her gp said not to worry unless it continues, and doesn't settle. I know it's frustrating as all you want to do is get your body back to normal so you can ttc. X

chloe your spotting sounds promising. I know you have varied cycles but cd24 is early for bleeding for you. Are yoy still temping? Have you had a dip? Fingers are tightly crossed Smile would love for you to be able to join cep on the nov bus!!

shorty it can take time for your WTF cycle to settle, they say up to 6 weeks. But you never know xx

IAFUDS fx for your 2ww wait.

more ewcm today but a -ve opk so looks luke my surge was yesterday. Temp rise today but had disturbed sleep so not fully reliable.
cep didn't have a bath in the end just swi!! Grin how are you today?

chole have a lovely night tonight. Glad you decided to have a drink, but to drink sensibly. Were going to a friends to celebrate an engagement so am drinking but have packed a bottle of bubbly and bucks fiz so I can drink less!!
Happy Saturday all xxx

milkyway2007 · 05/03/2011 15:20

Thanks meliesmummy, I just replied to your thread in the miscarriage section :) What you have said is absolutely right - there may not be another time for a baby - I guess everytime I have tried to plan, I have miscarried, so maybe I should just do it without thinking.

My DH says he is happy with whatever I decide - I wanted to try this month, but we're going on holiday at the end of March, and it would just ruin the holiday if I miscarried there, plus I have exams in May and dont want to risk miscarrying during my exams. It's so sad - I plan my mc's, whereas any other woman would plan a baby :( Thanks for your reply.

Thank You so much to everyone for welcoming me - blackkat I hope you are okay now - mc is a terrible thing for anyone to go through, and thank you for the offer of support - it is so appreciated.

I have read the replies in my thread - and thank you cep and iggly - I agree whole heartedly, I will never regret having a baby at the wrong time.

I would happily like to say that I would class myself in the WTTC list Grin.

Chloe55 · 05/03/2011 14:15

Ah my MIL is a retired midwife......actually that explains quite a lot Wink

meliesmummy · 05/03/2011 13:54

Yeah Chloe dont confuse us nurses with madmidwives! Wink! I know she's a nurse with prob years of experience (tbh we say all the time at work DON'T GOOGLE!) But I can't help it!!!! I was expecting it to take about 5 weeks. I guess if I didn't ovulate and all the hormones stopped it's a bit like the breakthru bleeding on the pill.

Chloe55 · 05/03/2011 13:44

Not midwife, I meant nurse.

Chloe55 · 05/03/2011 13:43

meliesmum DON'T GOOGLE!! Grin I do all the time though Grin My AF has dramatically changed since my MMC. I used to be super duper heavy, then it settled down a bit but since the MC all I ever produce is clots and lots of them, I have no brown discharge warning like I used to get just BAM! In the midwife's defence she has prob had to support woman post MC hundreds of times and so might have come across your situation a few times too? I hope it is your AF so you don't have that crappy wait for it to come in order to get back on track properly.

meliesmummy · 05/03/2011 13:36

I'm freaking out a bit here! (all the fault of google!) I had medical management 3 weeks ago tomorrow, bled properly for a week, brown gunk for another. Hpt positive 12 days ago, negative 5 days ago. Scan last mon tells me my uterus is empty. So logically my bleeding is af, right? It's fresh blood, but different so far to my normal af (a lot less blinkin painful, straight to 60 mph without the usual 2 days of brown spotting). The gynae nurse says af but really? After 3 weeks?! The pg loss website says I need to have had no bleeding for 20 days for it to be af?! WTF is going on!!!!!

Ps Chloe that sounds good, fx for you! Hello everyone else, sorry me me me post (I've only had 2 hours sleep in my defence!)

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 05/03/2011 13:26

mouse so sorry that you've had such a tough time, hope you are baring up alright! x Well ladies, FF has confirmed that I ov'd on CD14 which is a relief as I was paranoid about my cycles changing. SWI was well timed too, so now we're jut playing the waiting game! :) Hope you are all well x

Hils74 · 05/03/2011 13:07

shorty try not to worry too much, you will get there :)

mouse how are you feeling today?

Fx to all those POAS soon

wellieboots · 05/03/2011 13:03

Just marking my place on the new thread - welcome milkyway sorry for your loss, you will find lots of friendly ears and support here.

mouse I hope you are doing OK, big hugs, I am so sorry for what you are having to go through. Hope it is all over soon Sad

Get well shorty - so sorry you're not feeling so good, hope you have lots of tlc

Good luck chloe and collie

waves to everyone else!

shorty100 · 05/03/2011 12:54

I'm finding it really hard not to test again, have read so many people that have had a bfp after mc and its been 6 weeks now. Pulling my hair out a bit. X

Chloe55 · 05/03/2011 12:34

Well I have explained to the hosts that I will be joining them for a couple of glasses of wine but will be abstaining from shots, she was very accepting of this, she is aware of my situation so feel comfortable going with the knowledge that I won't be questioned tonight.

Also, either I am coming on a week early or I have implantation bleeding going on. Have just been to the toilet and seen brown cm in my knickers and on wiping. Getting a little excited, hope I am not going to be disappointed.

Hils74 · 05/03/2011 12:31

Blimey, I don't visit for two days and I've missed so much!!

Welcome milky and shorty so sorry for your loss. Everyone on here is lovely, don't be afraid to ask anything, I did! Just to fill you in, I had a natural mc at 5 weeks just over 4 weeks ago and got a BFP on my WTF cycle, so fx for you.

CBDigi day yesterday said 2-3 weeks so I'm thinking I got pg about a week after I stopped bleeding.

Petrified as this Weds will be 5 weeks and so worried that I will mc again, probably worrying too much but its so hard not to get excited. I think I'll feel better once I have a scan and can see a bean on screen.
