If you are TTC after Miscarriage (or waiting to start trying again), this is the place to be. This thread is full of lots of lovely ladies on the post MC rollercoster and is full of support and advice from people who have been through it, and know what you are going through.
Jump on board and join in the for some laughter, crying or even the odd ranting (whatever you need). There?s lots of Wine, Brew (caffeine free of course Smile ) and chocolate, and more importantly, friendly ?ears?.

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Don?t be afraid to ask anything ? nothing is ever TMI!!!

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length
WFT cycle = what the f*uck cycle (cycle after mc but before first AF)
For more accronyms see here

Good luck to all ? The last one was a lucky thread for lots of people so here's hoping for lots more healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread Grin

This is the previous thread

Stats to follow.

Oh bless you, its really hard to have any closure on what has happened isn't it. This is the one thing my dh doesn't understand he has come to terms with it but doesn't understand that it is still on my mind everyday. Have you spoken to the doctor? Did they give you any advice? I have had a few bfn too. X

skitoo · 11/03/2011 17:09

Shorty 9 veeeerrrry long weeks, its really stopping me from moving on Sad. How about you? I really hoped I was PG too, most unlikely, not for want of trying Wink but have had a couple of BFN's.

shorty100 · 11/03/2011 16:48

Its horrible isn't it skitoo, have you been waiting long. I'm hoping the reason it hasn't come is i'm preg but the longer i'm waiting the less I think this is the case. X

meliesmummy · 11/03/2011 16:24

chloe you aren't a spoilt brat, none of us are, we just really want something and it's really hard when you see other people that have it.

laylas that sounds like it'll be hard for you, I hope you manage to get through it without too many 'moments' like mine today.

Hope your anti b's kick in soon so you feel better shorty

I just did an opk, I'm only day 7 so it was negative (not even a trace of a line) but I have no idea what's going on in there this month so figured I'd start early. It's tough going back to using them, I was hoping I was finished with all that when I got pg :(

skitoo · 11/03/2011 16:10

Afternoon Ladies - hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend Smile

Welcome Jkk, sorry for your loss, I'm a fellow newbie just settling in.

Melies I have exactly the same problem...fine with babies but really struggling with ladies with big PG bellies. There is a woman at work who told me she was pg (quite far along) the morning after I got my first BFP, so at the time I thought I'd be catching up with her soon, so is now a constant reminder that I'm not Sad. Sorry it's upsetting you too Layla

Harrassed have you been and bought a test yet?

Chloe I've read your other thread, sorry you're not getting much help from the hospital. My clomid experience has been random but not actually had any mid cycle spotting although I have heard it can be a symptom. I know you've struggled to get through to them but think you really need to push your consultant. Sorry I can't remember but have they confirmed that the dose they have given you is working, do they know you ovulate on it?

Hi Shorty think we're in the same boat, desperately waiting for AF to arrive - never wanted it to arrive so much before!

Chloe55 · 11/03/2011 15:51

Well it's been nearly 7 months for me and I'm still not 'over it' doesn't help that my friend who must be about 18 weeks now is coming round tomorrow, no doubt wearing something to show off her little bump Sad I hate being Envy of friends it makes me feel a bit like a spoilt brat.

shorty100 · 11/03/2011 15:49

Hello everyone, i'm still here thanks collie. I have got a water infection at the moment so more antibiotics. It never stops. Still no af though last did a test on wed, i'm pulling my hair out a bit now. X

laylasmummy09 · 11/03/2011 15:15

wow melies thats harsh it knocks u back when something like that happens as you think you are doing ok and then you get kicked back down to earth, my sil is 24 wks pg and its hard to look at her even worse now they moved gouse to the next street, but it was pretty bad monday as my sil rang to say she'd got a bfp and it was my babys due date Sad shes been ttc for 2 yrs so its good news but it would have been nice if she'd waited 1 more day, on the up side af is here so i finally know where i am Smile
welcome jkk xxx

meliesmummy · 11/03/2011 15:01

Hi jkk, welcome. Pull up a cushion and get comfy x

Chloe yes she knows about the mc, around the time she was great but I think I'm expected to be 'over it', she also knows we're trying again so maybe she just thinks I am. It's 4 weeks today since I found out I was mc, it's gone by so quickly. I should be 15 weeks now :(

jkklpu · 11/03/2011 14:47

Chloe - JKK is fine. I chose a really sill name when I joined MN a couple of years ago and just never got around to changing it. Will keep it on my watchlist.

Chloe55 · 11/03/2011 14:38

Welcome jkklpu Do you mind if I abbreviate that next time as I couldn't remember it Blush So sorry about your MC. I understand that feeling of whether you want to try again. It's a hard decision and not one you need to make right now. Put your feet up and have a Biscuit and glass of Wine. I think this is the quietest the thread has been today, sometimes it is manic so just keep up as and when you can that fits round you.

jkklpu · 11/03/2011 14:23

Newbie here - mc-ed yesterday at 8 wks Sad .Am lucky enough to have 2xds and need some time to decide whether to ttc again (dh wants me to) or be happy with my lovely family.

This thread has so much energy I'm sure it will perk me up.

Chloe55 · 11/03/2011 14:04

meliesmum did you friend who invited the pg lady know about your MC? Shock If so that was pretty insensitive. I have found though that most people just don't even consider these tactless acts, unless of course they have been through MC themselves Sad In fact, it was just the other day I saw a FB status about if you are a mum and are proud to be a mum etc etc then copy and paste onto your status. In the past I wouldn't have battered an eyelid but now it makes me so Angry and frustrated at the insensitivity that people who may never be able to have children have to be faced with that when they open their FB account Sad Same goes to the 'ahhh it feels so good when bubba kicks' or 'wow! My bump is just getting bigger and bigger!' These are the type of updates I will never indulge in myself should I ever get another opportunity to do so, out of respect for people going through what we are going through or worse.

meliesmummy · 11/03/2011 13:55

Clearblue digitals aren't very sensitive harrassed but they are good in that there's no chance of evaporation lines. I've heard that adsa ones are cheap and sensitive, or superdrug, dont get the non digital clearblue, i had a ?false positive with one of those (unless it was a chemical pg, i never found out but I posted on here at the time and lots of people reported false positives with them)

Sorry can't help with your clomid problem chloe, that hospital sounds very frustrating! Could you try NHS direct? They might have detailed drug info?

olis after a mc it seems as if our bodies play very cruel tricks doesnt it?

Just been to the library with a few friends. Unbeknown to me one of them had invited her pg (due June) friend, I had to sit and listen to pram/labour/name chat feeling like crap. I seem to be able to see babies with no problems, it's pg ladies that really gets to me, maybe bcos I feel like I should be able to relate to them and now I just cant do it :(

Anyway, the ironing (and neighbours!) calls

Chloe55 · 11/03/2011 13:29

I know the ladies on here swear by ClearBlue digital but they are very expensive. I got BFPs with ANswer and First Response in the past but have been using internet cheapies this time round.

harassedinherpants · 11/03/2011 12:37

That sounds a lot like I would do actually Chloe!

What prg tests are good for early testing??

I had the cheapie ebay/amazon ones before, but used the last two up when I got bfp as didn't believe the first one lol.

Chloe55 · 11/03/2011 12:34

Well I what I would od is test, then if it's negative tell myself it was too early to test anyway and still go a little steadyish on the drinking Wink But that's just me.

harassedinherpants · 11/03/2011 12:08

Morning all!

olismum - I wish I had the guts to do something like that to my hair.

collie enjoy your day off!

blackkat sorry work is stressing you out.

chloe wish I could help with your thread, but I can't. Hope you hear from hospital soon though.

melies uurrgh at early starts!

Ok, to poas or not to poas??? Help! Cd25 today but first proper cycle since mmc so no idea how long it's going to be. Going out tomorrow night for a few lots- of-- drinks, so do I test in the morning?? Freaking/worrying myself silly here Blush.

God if ttc was stressful before, it's even worse now.

olismum23 · 11/03/2011 10:52

ninu hope the docs goes well, i have used a lot of different tests all very sensitive other than the faint faint lines i got early on (which could have been a bad run of evaps or something) i have had BFN'S

meliesmummy · 11/03/2011 07:44

Good morning! I'm not feeling too bright this morning, dd up at 5 because she couldn't find her nighttime toy, she's going to be soooo grumpy later and so am I! Plus I've got even more spots, on my face now not just my back and chest, how attractive! On the plus side I've had no bleeding this morning!

Ff looks extremely complicated, my respect for you ladies that do it is huge! Thanks for showing me Collie. I don't think it would work for me doing nights and I'd probably get obsessed with it so I won't even go there!

Glad you feel a bit better today Chloe.:( that you didn't enjoy your wine.

Hope it goes ok at the drs ninu, those sound like long hours to me, hope you manage to cut them down.

blackkat those buns sound yummy! You deserve a treat at the moment with all of that going on x

Ninunina · 11/03/2011 07:19

collie I don't normally work such long hours, these 2 days are out of the ordinary because I was travelling for a conference. Normally leave home at 8am, get back around 7:30-8pm, but will try and do a normal 9-5:30 where possible. I work in marketing. Enjoy the gym! I really need to go, I've put on 3kg since mc in Feb!!!

olis what tests are you using? Have you tried clearblue or first response? Hope you feeling better, actually, I hope it's ms! I knew I would get a bfp on wed when I woke up, I've has a slight feeling of nausea for a while, but got much stronger isince wed.

blackkat so sorry to hear about your dad.

lili boo at the bfn. Fx that next month is your month.

Chloe55 · 11/03/2011 07:03

olis loving the hair, what colour were you before? Is it a drastic change?

brooke Is it bad that I laughed at your falling through the fire door stroy - how the hell did you do that??!! Must have been a fast and furious game Grin

collie hope you enjoy your day off, I know what you mean about the temps thing - I used to forget all the time when I first started and now it's the first thing I think off when I wake up.

Blackkat How is your dad doing now? Are his results back yet?

Ninu I hope the mole isn't anything serious Confused

Hellooo to everyone else this morning.

Well, still a BFN here but like you olis I feel nauseous a lot. Woke up at 5am thinking I might be sick and the thought of having my breakfast (which I love) is very offputting Sad I am 99.9% sure it's not pg though as have always shown up on tests immediately within a few days before my period has been due in the past BFPs think it's more likely that I am coming down with a bug to add to my cold and sore throat. I was in bed for 8pm last night, didn't really enjoy my Wine Angry Feel a bit better emotionally today though.
