If you are TTC after Miscarriage (or waiting to start trying again), this is the place to be. This thread is full of lots of lovely ladies on the post MC rollercoster and is full of support and advice from people who have been through it, and know what you are going through.
Jump on board and join in the for some laughter, crying or even the odd ranting (whatever you need). There?s lots of Wine, Brew (caffeine free of course Smile ) and chocolate, and more importantly, friendly ?ears?.

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Don?t be afraid to ask anything ? nothing is ever TMI!!!

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

For more accronyms see here

Good luck to all ? The last one was a lucky thread for lots of people so here's hoping for lots more healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread Grin

Ohh collie that sounds promising. I hope you've got another test for tomorrow, my bfp started out as an almost non existent hint of a line.

cep Fx that it's just an infection. From what you've described, you're not getting enough blood to be really worried. My gran says it's just your body doing a bit of spring cleaning. I'm glad you haven't had more watery blood. You had me worried this morning.

meliesmummy · 16/03/2011 19:17

Oh Cep I know that there's no point in me saying don't worry because you will anyway but your symptoms sound so much like my cervical erosion. I can't remember but did you say if you bled at all with your ds?

Fingers crossed for you collie, have you got any tests left? Do one first thing and let us know!

olis fingers crossed for you too x

banana87 · 16/03/2011 19:09

Ooohhhhh Oli I have been having some of that yellow EWCM...very interesting! Hope it's a good sign! :)

shorty100 · 16/03/2011 18:52

Unfortunately the only other doctor at my surgery is the husband of the doctor I saw and is even worse. I rang the epu a few weeks ago and got shouted at for ringing when i'm not pregnant!!! Will try not to stress about it and see what happens next.

Sorry about the af lily x

cep · 16/03/2011 18:47

mel i know it is. Grin dtd on a towel, been there.

olis ooh fx then.

oh collie fmu hon. fx for you. you're still 3 days early today aren't you??

ok so positivity gone. a dark pink bloody cm now cm wouldn't be effected from uti would it???? i keep trying to think ositive that maybe cm picked up the blood that was "lying" around from the uti. grrr roll on monday.

Collie2 · 16/03/2011 18:33

Okay so inbetween feeding myself and the cats I managed to squeeze in a which poas! Nothing at first but now I can def see a faint shadow of a line... I think Confused It was outside the 10 min window so I suppsose could be a mean evap line??!!! Oh bloody hell why did I do it??!! And I can't tell dh as promised it wait till at least tomorrow Blush and he was so Sad after yesterdays bfn that I dint want to raise his hopes in case it's another bfn!! Agghhhhhhhhhhh

I suppose i could i OV last week would not put anything past my body, my boobs are super sensitive today too Random???

lili sorry AF got you

Cep hope its just a UTI

shorty how dare your doc lecture you! Its your body and your choice! Angry for you.

Collie glad your meeting was not too bad

meliesmummy · 16/03/2011 18:21

Boo to af lily

That sounds fab collie, congrats!

cep we romantically dtd on a towel just in case but it was fine, I'm still having brown cm but no fresh blood so I guess it's healing, I'm glad I decided against a referral. Fx youve got a uti (gosh what a weird sentence!)

cep · 16/03/2011 17:53

lily so sorry af here. Sad

cep · 16/03/2011 17:52

shorty how disgusting. my gp told me it was only for timing and i could start as soon as i wanted to. Second what mel and collie said speak to anothe gp or epu maybe.

yay collie smart lady you. Grin no as i said it only seems to be after the fmu. i found this though www.babyandbump.com/pregnancy-first-trimester/229889-can-uti-cause-spotting.html which obviously depends what she calls spotting. but sounds very similar. Your poor nan i hope she's ok.

mel it's almost obligatory (sp?) now if it's not best timing of edd. Grin were you ok blood wise after dtd the other night??

X posts WTF shorty how dare gp lecture you on not using contraception! Noone has ever told me that post mc it's neccessary!

When I was discharged I was given the number of the epu ward and told to ring with any questions. Why don't you give them a call, don't mention the gp? X

OP posts:
meliesmummy · 16/03/2011 17:46

shorty your gp sounds terrible! Can you see a different one at the surgery? What exactly are the dangers of not using contraception when tcc??!!!! Mine told me on Monday I shouldn't be trying until I said the epu said I could and then she changed her tune.

still early days banana

How did it go collie?

I worked out today that if I get pg next month I'll end up having the baby between Christmas and new year (I'll have a planned section at 39 weeks) hardly the best timing! Oh well, I guess I'd better get lucky this month! I've had what feels like ovulation cramps today.

I need to go and make some macorini cheese now, mmmmm..,,

Collie2 · 16/03/2011 17:43

hi cep it went well thanks! Just home, head spinning. Woman on before me got a right grilling so I was glad they got that out of their system first! Grin they seemed to get the message, lots of the right noises, and even somone saying to my boss they'd have to rethink their opinion based on what I said.... Which was essentially the aim. So pat on the back for me Grin

glad you've got your antibiotics. No more blood?

chloe I remembered you'd childminded from your sad mc story. But I don't think there's anything wrong in you not being in work, especisllt given your concerns. Besides, lots of women (even working class like mine) stay at home with their little ones in the early years. My mum was a single mum having said that do couldn't really afford the choice.

Shorty sorry about your bfn. Not knowing what's going on is horrid. Let us know what doc says.

banana 7 dpo is v v early! I thought my 11 dpo was early! Smile I second ceps fish Grin

right I have to dash and feed myself and my cats. My nan had a fall last night and is now in hospital so got to get out for visiting hrs.

OP posts:
shorty100 · 16/03/2011 17:35

Well going to the doctors was a big fat waste of time. All she said was it was normal and its not a problem, then kept lecturing me about the risks of not using contraception!! Wouldn't refer me to hospital either. Not sure what to do now and no one will listen. X

cep · 16/03/2011 17:19

banana 7dpo i'm sorry but i am going to have to give you this < . is good if temp stays high during the whole dpo period.

I hope it is have started the antib's now.

collie how'd it go??

banana87 · 16/03/2011 14:30

shorty Sorry about your BFN :( Hope the GP is helpful tonight.

Cep Hope all is ok. FWIW, my friend had blood in her urine and had a UTI.

I caved and did a test last night, BFN of course (7 DPO). Temp has spiked today and chart looks tri-phasic (starting temps 98.8 x3, 99.1 x2, 99.3 x1...hope thats a good thing?

Chloe55 · 16/03/2011 12:26

Good luck collie.

cep · 16/03/2011 12:20

mel they're not dipping at all at the surgery. doesn't worry me cause he's giving me tablets anyway, so at least i feel like i'm doing something.

collie trouble is he's going by past experiences. And i think like you said he doesn't want me to be getting my hopes up if there isn't any hope left.

meliesmummy · 16/03/2011 12:06

And the culture would tell them whether or not you are on the right antibiotics.

meliesmummy · 16/03/2011 12:05

Cep they will have sent it for microscopy (where they look for blood and white blood cells, if there are any they know there's some sort of infection) they would have the results for that straight away and then culture, when they grow any bacteria present, that takes 48 hours. They could dip it straight away in the surgery though, that would show up blood or protein (sign of infection) and maybe White blood cells depending on the type of sticks they've got.

Collie2 · 16/03/2011 12:01

cep glad gp looking into it. Glad you feeling more positive too Smile o was really Sad to read that you dh thought you would lose it this morn but I wondered if that's perhaps bcs he is trying to prepare himself for the worst, and not allowing himself to think positive in case of disappointment. Or maybe it's his way (given not the most sympatheic way) of trying to prepare you for the worst. Although I think a bit of reassurance would have been better Smile

thanks for good luck, not till after lunch. Have 'rehersed' though! Grin

OP posts:
cep · 16/03/2011 11:48

I mentioned uti to dr over the phone, mentioned that i only seem to get this blood after fmu. he's sending off some urine and giving me some antibiotics (just incase as it were) should take 3 days for results to come back. (although last time they did a diptest in office and showed infection so don't know why have to send off this time.) They can then change antibiotics if needed.

Strangely am feeling positive today, is because i realised that at this point in time am only getting it after fmu. I could crash again later mind.

collie hope our presentation is going well.
