This is the place to be for all those wanting to TTC after miscarriage, or have plans on TTC in the relatively near future. This thread is full of support from people who have been there and no how you are feeling so jump on board and share the Wine and chocolate (or water and celery for those of you off alcohol and caffeine Wink)

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Ask any questions that have been niggling you or that you are concerned about, perhaps someone here has experienced the same in the past.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

This is the old thread ref:

Stats to follow.

Hello ladies I am back from holiday and back in action! Feeling a bit nervous about getting back to reality and starting the TTC agony all over again but trying to keep positive. Although I was so busy catching up on the thread when we landed that I left my v expensive duty free moisturiser on the plane...not a good start! Wink

It will take me ages to catch up but from what I can gather massive hugs and congrats are due to aandr and velvet - what wonderful news! :o :o Hope you're both doing OK.

Hi to all the new people who I don't know yet...looking forward to catching up with you all in the next few days.

Collie2 · 18/02/2011 20:17

Hi all. Just back from going out to set off chinese lantern in memory of our little angle. Tied a copy of the scan to it. But it went dreadfully. It's windy but we thought we'd managed to find a sheltered area near a canal close to home. But the wind just pick it up and tossed it around into some trees. I just cried. I know it's totally stupid and irrational but I just stood there watching the flame die out thinking about my baby and how I can't get anything right. It was just a terrible ending. So I still don't feel like I've said bye. I just feel rotten. God, I know I'm just being an emotional moron. I just needed to tell someone. Poor DH feels awful as he let it go, so trying not to show I'm upset. Right, I'm off to stuff my face with something bad for me!

Sorry for me me me post. Xx

cep · 18/02/2011 19:38

evening all,

collie thanks for that link i hadn't seen that one before. As i said she did know, she'd just forgotten. Hmm

maybe that's awful, what a horrible exerience. Were you there on your own then? oh you poor thing.

I'm not to bad now have calmed down a bit. we had a chinese takeaway as i was in the mood for bad food. no Shock there, and i actually don't fancy any wine. I was all for pouring some earlier but lost the urge now. So not like me. I'm going to have a read in the bath and an early night, i am absolutely knackered again. Went to sleep about 9:30 last night and although ds woke us up at 5:30 again, i should be used to that by now, but i'm just drained.

Anyway thanks everyone for your support today, has been a very strange day. Hope you all have a fab evening. Goodnight all.

maybebabyR · 18/02/2011 18:57

Sorry, that should be Grin doing from PC to mac is never easy!!

maybebabyR · 18/02/2011 18:56

cep you are right to feel let down, and I would make sure GP knows it. Somehow when I was referred to EPU after bleeding, my GP had said that I was there following the morning after pill.

Needless to say, the way the they acted when I was there was a tad abrupt, which made me quite upset (DH couldn't get time off work). Only on the way out did they realise, and turn round and say 'oh, so this is bad news then'.

Not a god experience, but I don't blame the EPU, just the GP.

Sorry, me me me rant over!

Velvet huge congrats, you must be over the moon!! {grin}

Ninunina · 18/02/2011 18:28

Congratulations AandR & Velvet!!! Yay for the SMEG plan :)

Who's next????

Collie2 · 18/02/2011 18:01

velvet congrats on the bfp!!!! Good luck x

Collie2 · 18/02/2011 18:00

blackkat sorry about your invite. I know the feeling, one of by best friends got engaged on V day and I expect she'll get hitched this summer, for which I should have been either heavily pg or with child. Gutted, even saddened DH to think about it. The fact that life goes on just sucks!!

meliesmummy · 18/02/2011 17:59

collie it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...I certainly thought about it (ie, in another life I'm having cold gel put on my tummy) prob bcos at 3:30 I went to get dd up from her nap and she'd wet the bed for the first time in months so I was distracted by stripping her bed and sorting her out. Thanks for asking.

Collie2 · 18/02/2011 17:49

CEP you go right ahead and rant. Your GP sounds like they could have handled it better, I can't believe she didn't know you'd had a mc, that's shocking. And of course you're going to worry. I googled BV and it's nothing to be ashamed of, and as mumtum says we talk about all sorts on here. From what I read it didn't sound like it's was just recurrent mc but as you said GP not sure that's the diagnosis so try not to worry to much over the weekend. How are you feeling this afternoon? X

Also, thank you for doing the stats I'm very grateful. Don't worry about losing the grads, clearly a mistake, I'm sure everone knew that and I'm sure noone was offended....it's only a list Grin.

melies sorry you're having a hard day. Milestones are hard. How have you been? X

mumtum I'm currently in the car 2 blocks away posting as DH home!!! Reminded me of you!!! Closet MNer!!! Grin Good luck Swi!!!

Mumtum if you post a link to your ff page on here I'll freind request you. Or you can look for mine, I posted it a day or so ago and friend request me.

, happy Friday x

Blackkat · 18/02/2011 17:36

cep I'm just being a dimwit, sorry! Get it now, at least you are getting some ab's either way. Good!

melies that's a bit of a dilemma...hmm, no easy solution eh?
Hope DD has good bday, pub lunch sounds nice Smile

Oh and arti I meant to say I loved the tea idea, I shall be offering him "baldrick coffee"!!

cep · 18/02/2011 17:31

mel happy birthday to your dd, hope she has a fantastic day.

cep · 18/02/2011 17:27

blackkat sorry the invite upset you. Sad are you feeling a bit better now? Positive thinking you could be nice and pg by then.

Basically i've got to wait for confirmation of her diagnosis once test results come back on thursday. if it's a yes then i should get some antibiotics (now that she's remembered i've had an mc) so either pg or not i should get ab's.

meliesmummy · 18/02/2011 17:24

Two positives?! This thread must be lucky, glad I joined! Congrats velvet!

We had a wedding in France around my edd, I said my dh couldn't go just in case and there was no way I'd have made it...not sure what to do now as I hope to be preg by then but I'll be far to scared to go abroad, on the other hand can I stop him from going? And wgat if im not? We need to reply by next week...decisions decisions! He's got a stag weekend next weekend too and then that weddings coming up...I was meant to be showing off a bump, it's funny tho that something held me back from buying a maternity dress. I think I always knew...

Its our dds birthday tomorrow, we've bought her a bike but now with her leg in a cast I'm not sure how that'll go. She's demanding a birthday lunch at the pub (wonder where she gets that from?! ;)

Blackkat · 18/02/2011 17:12

Big Congrats velvet Grin

Thank Crunchie it's Friday , just nipping in to lay out the

meliesmum those milestones are tough aren't they, thinking of you - we got a wedding invite yesterday, for a wedding I didn't think we'd be going to bcs it was a week after my due date..I blubbed Sad

Chloe hope you had a good day.

xx

cep · 18/02/2011 17:06

congratulations velvet am so so pleased for you.

Velvetcu · 18/02/2011 17:01

Thanks for moving me to the bfps list - it's very scary seeing my name on there!

Hope you are all good, hello to the new people.

cep · 18/02/2011 16:18

mumtum normally she's lovely, but she was on emergency callbacks so was probably frazzled and prob thought i was being well ott. i just couldn't believe she obviously hadn't read that far on my notes to remember i'd m/c only 2 months ago.

hooray for bright line on opk.

ok i've reattached my chart below (if i remember). when you're in go to the top left and it says add to friends. clicking on there invites others. (otherwise i think you need e-mail addresses) once someone is your friend you can go to home page(in list on left) brings up a few tabs, friends is one of them click that and it'll bring up a list of friends. click on one should show you their list. but i think they need to have put details on. when in friends you can also change your nickname so it should change to your name rather than number. (mines cep)

here almost forgot.

MumTumWanted · 18/02/2011 16:10

oh she knew, lily i was in there yesterday talking about ttc again. She said oh you did didn't you.

meliesmummy · 18/02/2011 15:33

meliesmummy · 18/02/2011 15:32

Wine cheers! To all then...mine will be real later!

lily06 · 18/02/2011 15:16

Cep that's awful, feel very Angry on your behalf. You'd think they'd read up a bit first. Mind you, the hosp never bother to write to my GP, so they don't have half the information they should anyway.

Ok, Wine all round then - has to be virtual just now for me, since I'm still at work

WildSheepChase · 18/02/2011 14:46

mellie- let yourself feel what you need to. x
