Oh Dachs .

and Silly so sorry :(

silverangel · 10/02/2011 11:26

Morning All

[Silly] sorry for your news and wishing you well for next time.

[lovemysleep] i have been having exactly the same sort of pains on and off for a couple of weeks, have convinced myself a fair few times it must be ectopic but when I'm being reasonable figure it cant be that as would mean my tube is up in my lung somewhere! Am going to the docs tomorrow for a non pg related sprained ankle thats not getting any better so will ask them then what its all about.

[hairy] glad you sound a little more positive - its the waiting bit thats the worst.

[banana]both times i have got pg I have only had sex on day 10 of cycle and I ovualte on day 14, so that's at least four days!

banana87 · 10/02/2011 11:22

pink When I called, they said £250 for initial consultation, just over £200 for test and further £150 for follow up. That's over £500. IF I had another mc, insurance would cover that initial consultation (where I would have all bloods done), and follow up, so I would only (possibly) have to foot the bill for the test and any treatment. I just can't see the benefit of doing it now, esp as my tax bill this year was so high :(

DachshundsWantPuppies · 10/02/2011 11:22

I'm bleeding :(

Hi all
Nix, what a rollercoaster. I'm chuffed for you.

My news is that I decided to go to the epu unit this morning to find out whether I'm pregnant or not and what's going on (the 7th test was positive this morning but still reading 1-2 weeks and it should have moved on from that by now).

She said that I've had a really early miscarriage and the spotting last week was the result. So that's my 3rd MC in 6 months :( Well at least I'm spared the ERPC or the bloodbath that was the first time round I suppose.

So I'll love you and leave you, and banking on you all having graduated by the time I'm back.
Much love and hope you all enjoy healthy pregnancies

PinkFondantFancy · 10/02/2011 11:00

Actually think it might have been cheaper than that, can't remember what else had done at same time. Proper catchup later

PinkFondantFancy · 10/02/2011 10:49

Stupid phone hope it makes sense despite 10000 typos

PinkFondantFancy · 10/02/2011 10:49

Just a quickie, banana have you read 'is your body by friendly'? I'm afraid I don't agree with what some of that those ladies are saying, especially about it not being a cause if you've had a baby before. Full NK assay for me was £400. Also did you HHS basic clotting test or a full coagulation screen? Apparntly they are v different, one is how fast you clot, the other is your propensity to clot which is the important feature.

nickstermum · 10/02/2011 10:47

Hope soooo Jolls

lovemysleep · 10/02/2011 10:42

banana yes, sperm can live for up to 7 days. My last pg, I only had sex once on day 5 of my cycle, and I seem to ovulate around day 10 or 11, so that makes sense! Fingers crossed for a BFP for you..

Hairy what a lovely thing for him to do! I often say to DH that I don't care about things he buys so much, it's the thoughtful gestures that mean something to me, as they require a bit more effort.

pink hope it goes ok with the heparin

Hello jolls and everyone else.

Woke up at 5.30 today, so a big improvement on yesterday. Couldn't see though, and was very confused by this, until I realised that I'd gone to bed in my contact lenses! Was that knackered, I completely forgot to take them out.
Am not doing my circuit class on Friday - have decided to drop it, as I think I'd class it as strenous exercise, and I'm just not prepared to take the risk.
Had stitch-like pains in my right side yesterday which freaked me out a bit - but then thought, they're no where near my uterus, so maybe it was just wind?
Also, ate 5 pieces of toast yesterday too! maybe that had something to do with the pain - too much bloody bread! Was ravenous at lunch time....
Right, must go and do some housework...yawn...

banana87 · 10/02/2011 10:19

pink here is the thread, not looking positive :( And thinking I will cancel the appt now. Let me know how you get on today!

Hairy So sweet of your DP to do that :) Really hoping its good news tomorrow for you.

Wakari Welcome. I know what you mean about not telling DH, I am always too scared to tell mine but I really can't go more than a few hours without bursting!

AF due this weekend, BUT my boobs are really sore and big...did I read someone saying sperm live 7 days? Really don't want to waste another EPT but....

hairylights · 10/02/2011 10:05

Welcome to Wakari

Had a more positive day yesterday.

Some positive thinking, a counselling session and got home to see that my very lovely DP had re-arranged all the upstairs rooms to make room for a baby (including moving a bed, two chests of drawers and tidying up a whole load of clutter, and hoovering throughout) - he knew I had been meaning to get around to it, but hadn't had chance. It really touched me, because I knew he did it for me and he knew how much it would mean to me :)

This was something recommended by my counsellor, make room in my life and my house for a baby :)

If not this one, then one that will be coming along very soon, I hope.

Feeling a little bit more negative about tomorrow now, but at least calm (before the storm perhaps).

Would be so miraculous if they saw a little one in there. But I have completely normal boobs now, although have still felt very tired and emotional and quite light headed, and have just cocked up someone's get well card at work, by writing 'sorry to be losing you - keep in touch' (thinking it was a card for a guy that's leaving! DOH!!!

sorry to be self-indulgent (again) - helps to write it down.

owlbooty · 10/02/2011 09:49

Welcome Wakari :) Totally know what you mean about not telling DH yet, I didn't tell mine for a week as I was sure the spotting I was having meant Doom. Which it turns out it didn't, it was just random spotting. Fingers crossed yours is the same :)

Jolls ! Hello lovely, here's your reserved beanbag :)

Pink I too had to see the GP before I was allowed to book a MW appt. It was utterly pointless and irritating. She didn't even ask me if I was taking folic acid or snorting coke. Although it did give me the opportunity to wail and snotter at her which is always nice.

Nix hope your feet are still firmly up, missus, and that you are being treated like the Queen. Grin

Pink good luck with the heparin.

PinkFondantFancy · 10/02/2011 07:40

Tony no idea, I asked them if they can just register me with the dangerously far away local hospital but apparently not without going to see then first.....

Got to pick up heparin and learn to inject it today.... Confused

SameOldJollster · 10/02/2011 05:23

pops in just to wave at Wakar, I remember your name; I also MMC in August, so we were probably on the MC threads at the same time. Congrats on your BFP - FX all fine.

Waves at anyone else who knows me. It's such a horrid, stressy time, the first trimester after a MC. What we wouldn't do for a time machine huh? Hope you're all doing ok. Special squeeze for hairy.

OrangeGloss · 09/02/2011 21:31

Barbie so sorry for your loss, and thank you for the kind words of encouragement when you are in such a :( place. Hope to see you here soon x

Nix I've just had to delete my first message after reading your good news Wink I'm so so glad you've had the reassurance you needed. And no need to be sorry, we've all been there
Emoo nope can't play, but have aspirations of learning :)
Pink that's my plan :) good work on drooling, will keep the committed at bay. I had to see gp before the mw would see me. They also wanted a urine test despite my scan Hmm
Welcome and congratulations Wakari Grin

KnitterNotTwitter · 09/02/2011 21:24

lovely news nix really relieved for you

tonythetyger · 09/02/2011 21:03

Nix glad to hear you got the scan and all was ok.

Pink why do you need to register for a gp? Won't they let you book a hospital without one? I always go for GPs with long opening hours given I'm at work all day and need to pick up prescriptions. Even so they always do those first appointments at ridiculous times.

PinkFondantFancy · 09/02/2011 20:24

nix with you about the dinosaurs but there aren't enough big ones in the pack!!!

PinkFondantFancy · 09/02/2011 20:24

nix that is so sweet, he sounds gorgeous Grin Try and enjoy your well earned rest!

wakari I can't watch that programme - giving birth feels such a long way away that I find it still tortures me almost as much as when I was ttc.

Anyone watching the nature programme on channel 2 tonight? When the boy salamander wants a shag, he climbs on the girl's back, and she has to carry him around until he decides the time is exactly right, apparently sometimes this isn't for days!!! Hehehe thought that would be v. funny if that was the case for us - turn up to work with DH piggy backing Grin She seemed pretty chilled out about having to carry him around though. DH says I should try to be as chilled as the girl salamander Grin

wakarimasen · 09/02/2011 20:08

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm just watching "One Born Every Minute" on Sky+ Shock Dont know why I do it to myself!

I've just done the test tonight and I'm planning to lay low for now. I'm in two minds about telling DH as dont want him to go through the stress again Confused

I'll wait a couple of weeks then make an appt at my EPU. They advised me to contact them direct next time.

I had hoped if I got preg again it would be strightforward with no spotting but alas, no Smile

This is another big thread but I'll try to keep up!

nickstermum · 09/02/2011 20:03

Am a very big fan of the natural confect jelly snakes (and dinosaurs!!) but nothing beats haribos!!! Although my penchant for wine gums has gone up a notch....

Off to bed for a sleep in min, feel like have been through an emotional mangle today. No work til monday,

Seeing mw tomorrow and will ask her to check cervix, and then back for the epu scan friday to get the fluid checked out. In the meantime feet up, no carrying 3yo up the stairs or 7kilocat for that matter! Read somewhere that at the start of 2nd trimester you get lots of aches and pains/stretching/growing etc and that could cause the tenderness. Remember that folks :)

Thanks for all your support today... would have been a mess without it...

I have a baby with a hb...
He rubs his eyes
He was as happy as a pig in shit Grin
Thankyou xx

PinkFondantFancy · 09/02/2011 19:47

Hehehe good work on the haribo mama - what sort? Starmix? Have you tried 'natural confectionary company' jelly snakes?? AMAZING!

love I have a regular 4am waking thing - v. annoying!!

Talking of registering with GP, I took a deep breath and tried to do it today. Raaahahahahah soooooo annoying!!! They won't book me into the system without seeing the GP first - why?!?!?! It's a complete waste of an appointment and they don't seem to understand that a 3:30 appointment when I work in London doesn't really work for me.... V frustrating.

Mamapower · 09/02/2011 19:38

Wakari hooooray, lovely seeing you here and Congratulations on your BFP Grin Grin Have you registered with your GP yet?

Can hardly keep eyes open tonight and diet took an all time low today after I practically inhaled a large bag of Haribo in one go Blush
