Congratulations strawberry, how long have you been ttc?

Well temp up a bit this morning, but not as much as I had hoped so still feeling pessimistic Im afraid.

Heres my chart

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3053f2

Is there a list somewhere of all the charts to make it easier to stalk or is it just like this if you post a link?

AuntieDoris · 04/02/2011 06:25

sigh another pregnancy announced on FB yesterday = me having a bit of a meltdown as usual. Bugger.

Anyway, think I have probably ovulated now. Chart looks like a map of the Himalayas! Here is my chart.

Mind not be on too much for a week or so. Off to Hong Kong tomorrow. Going to keep temping when I can, partly cos I am curious to see what it does to my chart but I know I won't really be able to rely on it.

Is it too much to hope that I am pregnant this month? Probably.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 03/02/2011 23:02

Oh yes congrats atrawberry!

Well, I'm none the wiser. Absolutely no signs of spotting or bleeding today and no cramping. Am tempted to bin the thermometer and see what happens but then........what to do.......

MrsP81 · 03/02/2011 21:58

Hey ladies

Congratulations strawberry! Grin

And welcome to Teds. I think I've seen you on a couple of buses too. I haven't been on a bus for a couple of cycles, they make me obsess too much! I feel very at home here.

Sorry to see the arrival of AF for some of you. Sad Hope you're treating yourself to some wine.

Not much to report here. I think I'm 2dpo but not confirmed by FF yet. Our attempts at SWI this month have been feeble and I will eat my hat if we've been succesful! Which means that AF is due on my 30th birthday, how lovely.

Hope everyone is ok.

jaggythistle · 03/02/2011 19:53

oops was so busy chatting to Teds that i forgot to add a big congrats to strawberry! told you your chart was looking good. :)

ochaye · 03/02/2011 19:18

Woweeeeee ... Strawbs!!!! Lovely, lovely news!!!!

Finally managed to suss chart stalking and had a good old stalk before coming on here for the news. You're charts looking good digital. Are you testing soon? Sorry af got you mrsden Sad.

I'm still waiting for af to move on so nothing much to say about me.

Who else is testing soon?

jaggythistle · 03/02/2011 18:28

do you think that might catch on - "oh no, I've got a dippy chart this cycle!"

jaggythistle · 03/02/2011 17:31

I am getting too obsessive. Really should stay off here at work but just can't do it aaaaaah!

I expect I will be drawn back on here later on to report AF's arrival as if it is vital information Grin

Teds77 · 03/02/2011 17:21

Yes, there has been a bus or 2... or 5.. and recognise you too. As an obsessive I decided that 'Charters Anonymous' might be a better home for me than 'Just Shagging' Grin

I think I might have my first dippy chart to match your excellent examples in a few days time... Grin But as a rough guide it looks like two days of drops is good warning that AF is on her way so thank you.

jaggythistle · 03/02/2011 17:10

Hi Teds I'm sure I've seen you on a bus or 2? :)

This thread is great, I have somewhat abandoned the buses now that I have discovered it and the lovely ladies on it.

If you want to see some more dippy charts I have now collected 4 examples Grin No AF yet today, just waiting though...

my charts

good luck for this cycle.

Teds77 · 03/02/2011 17:02

Thanks Harder and mrsden - mrsden the chart is very helpful on the dipping-front, thank you. Though just to say sorry that I'm finding your AF arrival helpful IYSWIM Confused

I've set up a basic chart on FF but do need to do the lessons...

Not feeling very hopeful this month but just keen to keep a record of everything a little bit better.

mrsden · 03/02/2011 16:22

Welcome Teds. This has been my first month of temping and although it has ended with AF arriving, I do feel reassured that my chart shows that I ovulated and that my LP is a good length. I think temping does make you feel more in control although I suppose it can make you obsessed about ttc but then I already was!

If you haven't already, I second the recommendation to sign up to fertilityfriend. I only signed up for the basic but it gave me a vip trial for 14 days. The online course is really useful. If you look at mychart
(scroll down to look at the second chart) you can see that my temp dropped yesterday and then AF arrived today. So I knew yesterday that I wasn't pregnant. If I had been, my temp would have stayed high.

kateepie2 · 03/02/2011 13:54

Congrats strawberry fx for a sticky velcro bean! Grin

weimy · 03/02/2011 13:42

Congrats strawberry!

sorry mrsden and mslk :(

Newgolddream · 03/02/2011 12:54

temperature even - I really wish there was an edit button on this website.....

Oh and welcome teds!

Newgolddream · 03/02/2011 12:52

mskland mrsarch - thank you both for your words of encoragement, 1 side of me is saying as Im only 7 DPO 1 dip isnt too bad, but I just got soo depressed this morning seeing it and knowing what it would look like when I plotted the temp on FF, and then that was worse because it went below the coverline.

Trying to hope its an implantation dip (or even implantation massive drop lol) but mostly convinced AF is on the way. My LPs have been as short as 10 days, up to 13 days. I though your LP was meant to be consistent - and looking at my past charts mine arent - is this something to worry about, and do you think a LP of 10 days is ok?? Almost dreading tomorrows teperature now.

Thats good though mrsarch that bleeding has stopped.
Sorry AF showed mrsden and mslk , I think I will be joining you back on CD1 very soon. Sad

Sorry to to hear you got a BFN kateepie, although hopefully it may just have been too early to test, so yes keep testing!

Good luck essence if you decide to test.

HarderToKidnap · 03/02/2011 12:51

Well done strawberrycream that's fantastic!!

CD8 so nothing to see here.

teds you will see a rise in your temperature after you ovulate, and that rise will be sustained until your period arrives, after which it will dip. If your temperature continues to stay high and your period does not arrive, you may be pg.

That is the really really short answer. However, really you need to get on fertility friend and do their online course, which is great, and input your temps into a chart.

Teds77 · 03/02/2011 12:45

First post on this thread - bit nervous but hope you can help out a newbie!

I've only starting temping in the last few days (was awaiting arrival of thermometer). I'm probably 8/9DPO so I realise this month's chart won't really help very much and really I need to think about next month's. However, was just wondering if someone could indulge my hopefulness and tell me what might happen to my temps if I'm pg (or not). If I get a dip does that mean not pg?

Thank you...

Iwish · 03/02/2011 12:33

Strawberry I've been stalking you for a few days and wondered why you hadn't caved and tested lol. Have you got any symptoms?
I'm feeling ok thanks, still got sore boobs (yey!) and still get little cramps and have had rubbish sleep for almost a week but im happy with that :).
You should join us in the charters graduates thread. Xx

StrawberryCreamTea · 03/02/2011 12:22

Aww thanks iwish, that's some excellent chart stalking you're doing! Hope you're feeling well and still excited! xx Grin

So sorry that af got you mrsden and mslk, that cd1 feeling is horrible, I know. Sending virtual hugs and very large glasses of wine! x

FX for those still in the 2ww, especially MrsA, it's depressing isn't it when your chart/body is being so confusing - but hopefully because you're in that magic 7-10 day implantation window it's all good stuff and leading towards a nice bfp! Grin

kateepie2 · 03/02/2011 11:31

Having said that, lots of sites seem to say to avoid them, along with soy and rhubarb... WTF?

kateepie2 · 03/02/2011 11:29

Nope, peas are good for your fertility as they contain manganese and promote healthy oestrogen production! Might be best eaten prior to ov then?

mrsden · 03/02/2011 09:58

Thanks mrsA. I have read so much stuff on conception that I can't remember what is true and what isn't. And now I've just read on another thread that peas are bad for fertility Hmm

I know what you mean about the not knowing. I had spotting and cramps on Monday, nothing on Tues and then a little bit of spotting yesterday so I was confused. But my temp dropped yesterday so I knew really that the game was over. But there is always a little bit of hope until AF turns up. I hope that AF stays away for you.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 03/02/2011 09:48

Sorry af arrived Mrsden It's truly shite.
Enjoy your wine (I recall reading the not getting hair dyed when pg thing isn't true)

If af arrives, I have a Cosmo with my name on it for Saturday night. DP is a wicked cocktail maker Grin
It's the not knowing for me atm but not brave enough to test. I MAY consider it tomorrow am if nothing changes.

And mrsden LP varies for everyone. Mine is 11-12 days but I ov late (cd25+) so I have long cycles.
Ov day can fluctuate but LP rarely does.
So your 15 day LP is excellent - less than 10 days and there may not be enough time for bean to implant.

Nothing more to report so far. Slightly achy around ovaries again and mild cramping but that could be pg or af!

mrsden · 03/02/2011 09:14

Morning,

AF arrived this morning so it's on to cycle 8 for me. My cycle length was 31 days and my LP was 15 days. Is this a normal sort of length? I read somewhere that LP is always 14 days but surely this isn't true.

I'm going to have a proper read through all the posts in the thread from today a bit later, so will check back in then,

Not sure if anyone is close to testing, but good luck if you are. And if anyone else has woken up to the arrival of AF then just think of that big glass of wine waiting for you tonight. And I've booked in to get my hair dyed on Sat so there are some positives (although admittedly I'd much rather be celebrating a BFP)

x
