Oooh, this thread is just what I need!

I've been putting on a positive face but really I'm gutted about everything.

I had a M/C about 5 weeks ago, I would have been 12 weeks on Christmas day, which is when were hoping to have had a scan and be able to announce to everyone Sad

Been TTC for about 3.5years and I had IVF earlier this year due to polycystic ovaries, blocked tubes and a fibroid but had to stop due to severe OHSS, then, lo and behold while waiting for my cycles to get back normal to have a frozen cycle, I fell pregnant naturally. I tested positive on the Tuesday morning and began M/C on the Thursday night.

Now not sure what is going on with the IVF, have been summoned to an appointment in the GYN clinic early next year Hmm

Am bored of everyone telling me that while the M/C is sad, I should be excited that I can get pregnant. Obviously this is true, but I'm bloody upset and I just feel it was the cruelest way to end the year after everything else... Anyway, I am donning my flapper dress and demanding a large gin (or five!)

Hello nice ladies, can I join you? I'm ttc number 1, had a MC in June at 8 weeks, and then a CP last week :( Am trying to stay sane and relaxed about the TTC thing but to be honest I am failing to convince anyone!! I also lurk about on the MC threads but am starting to feel a bit left behind on there as most people seem to get pg and disappear again within a couple of months :(

broccolitrees · 27/12/2010 12:33

hope everyone was able to have a good christmas. we did have a lovely time dh excelled himself in the present department with a new handbag, for me that isGrin. dd was so excited about the stuff she had given us, which we both knew about but pretended we didn't - lol!
sorry to see you here picknmix i remember you from a long time back on a conception thread, before i realised that miscarriage was a regular occurence for me (i was shreksmissus). sounds like you have had a rough time, hope this year brings you happiness

wewishyouamerrylissiemas · 26/12/2010 20:03

Is it wrong to frequent to hut on Christmas Eve when most others are so damn excited about Christmas?!

This year has been spectacularly awful for us, 4.5yrs of ftc with 4 mc's (2 this yr), 3 rounds of IUI, 3 Clomid months and now the nhs is cutting back on IVF funding meaning we probably no longer qualify... I'm at my wits end and all I want for Christmas is a baby.

And breathe.

Sorry to hear what you're going through Broccoli, hope you manage to enjoy some of Christmas.

they haven't totally ruled out ep but the beta hcg is going down slowly so it is unlikely to do me any harm and as it's going down i think they this it will just reabsorb eventually and my bhcg will go back to 0

wewishyouamerrylissiemas · 23/12/2010 18:08

broccoli, i cant imagine what you must be going through. you must feel that you are stuck in limbo Xmas Sad they have ruled out an ep havent they?

For any new folks needing to join this thread is for:

for those who are having problems getting pg

or staying pg

or are simply fed up of being told to relax and having to smile and say "you never know"

here is the old thread but I love our new joint here!

I have linked the old thread in case you did not get broccoli's update Lissie Sad.

I will have to dust off my fancy 1920's clothes to come in here, looks too swanky by far for jeans and tee-shirt!!!!

Happy Christmas Lissie Grin
