Morning all. Not happy this morning. Really tired and my temp fallen again, but still above the coverline, so don't know what to think! My LP is 10-12 days and I'm on 13 DPO, so arrggghhhhh!!!!!

I think I might just give up. I've had years of 28-30 day cycles and then we start SWI and they start going bonkers.

Feeling quite low today tbh.

char here

Lurking and bookmarking. Hello getdown

Temp up this morning but think it was more to do with the heating being on all night as cervix is closed and I have no cm. Only cd22, so hopefully it'll be next weekend.

mousebacon had date night with dh yesterday and saw HP. What did you think? Bit disappointed with it, but cinema full of giggling, sarcastic teenagers helped carry it along.

Feeling smug as read in family guardian that average number of nights out a year parents get in first five years is three. I think we've had five this year!

spilttheteaagain · 20/11/2010 21:20

I also had a useless LP on my WTF cycle (only 7 days) and struggled to pinpoint ovulation - still not utterly certain when it was even after AF arrived! I think the body is quite confused after a loss so your cycle may well not be particularly textbook this time, but that isn't anything to worry about.

LadyGoneGaga · 20/11/2010 20:56

Hi Getdown. I'm good thanks. Mega paranoid but just happy to be pregnant for now and really hoping it sticks this time.

As Spilt says is a bit conflicting but WTF cycles can be very confusing. I didn't conceive in mine despite plenty of well timed action. Had a v short LP though. Hopefully a few more temps will clarify things.

Oooh, Spilt. End of AF - you go girl. I think you've been really brave going back to work and the hardest part is over now. Sounds like they're being great which must be a comfort. Can't believe it has been six weeks, hon.

GetDownYouWillFall · 20/11/2010 20:30

Thanks so much spilttheteaagain I am so sorry to hear about Bobbie Sad Keep talking about him and using his name. You will never forget him.

It's good your work have been understanding. That must help a lot to not have the added pressure of having to be "fine" again so soon.

6 weeks is not very long ago really.

Well done for getting through your first day back, I do think that would be the hardest hurdle, so hopefully it will get a bit easier from now on.

Thanks re. my chart. I just need to wait and see what temps do next. I felt sure I ov'd on wednesday as I had all the right signs, and ov pain on the left hand side (it was def right hand side last cycle). But as this is a post MC I have no idea what to expect - maybe you can have all the signs but your body not produce an egg? Who knows.

Anyways thanks for welcoming me. I will let you know what happens tomorrow.

spilttheteaagain · 20/11/2010 20:11

Hi GetDown

Looking at your chart so far it's hard to say. CD22 shows + OPK, HSO cervix and EWCM so it looks like the most fertile point. Looking at the temp shape I'd currently guess at ovulating on CD23 but would keep up the SWI until it's clearer.

So sorry to hear about your recent loss. You're in good company, lots of us here have lost babies in the last couple of months and are doing a lot of venting and crying as well as charting. If it helps to talk about it, please do.

I went back to work for the first time yesterday (just did a half day - GP has given me a phased return) and it went a lot better than I expected. I did cry when my boss asked how I was doing and he tried to send me home then. He was very sweet actually and was nearly in tears too - I think he wanted to give me a hug but wasn't sure if he should so he sat on my desk and patted my hand Smile. I was absolutely shattered and came home with a monster headache. Worst bit over now hopefully?

Work fortunately don't seem to give a monkeys what I do really and have said to come and go as I can and not worry about it. They've told me I can take time out in the nice counselling room if need be, and can book to see the counsellor if that would help (she's in 1 day a week and the rest of the time the room is open for those that need an escape). Thank God for a decent employer.

6 weeks tomorrow since Bobbie was born, I have no idea where the time has gone.

AF finished now so here we go again.

Hi Lady nice to see you again. Thanks for responding!

The spike on CD18 is a weird one. I think I had a disturbed night, but strangely I haven't recorded it on my chart. I did have some bad nights this past week though. Haven't had any alcohol this week.

I don't think I could have ov'd on day 21 as I had a +OPK on day 22 - LH should have dropped after ov. shouldn't it?

Ah, I don't know. I know I just have to wait and see what happens with temp tomorrow, but it's so frustrating!!

How are you Lady?

LadyGoneGaga · 20/11/2010 17:56

Hi Getdown. Do you know what caused that odd temp spike on day18? Could you have hadd a disturbed night? Or drunk alcohol night before? I wonder what it does if you exclude that data point? You could have ovved day 21 and actually be having a dip right now?

GetDownYouWillFall · 20/11/2010 17:00

Hello all!

Just wondering if I could join, as I am a closet charting addict (good at masking that tell-tale beep by shoving thermometer under pillow) - charted my way to DD back in 2007, and started again at the beginning of the year to hopefully have success conceiving #2.

We were very lucky to conceive last cycle but went on to have a MC at 5 weeks Sad

So here we are charting again!

Went all out this month with OPKs, got a positive on CD 21 and 22. It's now CD 25 and still not showing a definitive temp increase Confused

Would anyone have a look for me and see what you think / whether you think I've ov'd or not?

Last night was v. cold and I slept right through (normally I have disturbed sleep) so am hoping this could explain the less-than-spectacular temp for today......... but am just not sure.

Would be so miffed to have not ov'd after all Sad Thought we might have actually got the timing right this month.

thanks!

GetDown's chart

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 20/11/2010 12:51

Terry's - I used to do one OPK when I first got up and another when I got in from work, but never seemed to get an obvious positive (always slightly fainter than the control line) so I've given up on them :) Although I know I always OV CD14/15/16 so there isnt really any need for me to use them!

MrsA - as others have said, that slight dip doesnt mean anything, it may go back up again tomorrow! Fingers crossed for you!

I'm now on 10DPO and my boobs are horrendously sore and swollen. I used to get sore boobs a while back a week before AF, but I'm talking years ago. Hoping that this is a positive sign :)

My BF is also TTC and is one DPO behind me, as well as symptom spotting with you guys, I've got her texting me every two mins! Grin

TerrysNo2 · 20/11/2010 11:04

mouse I guess you meant your post to MrsA there?!?! Smile

MrsA I can understand why you don't want to get your hopes up but I would say it is looking better than last month, just a slight dip! When might you test?

Enjoy HP mouse I really want to see it!

mousebacon · 20/11/2010 08:18

Hi terry, if it was me I'd play it safe and see what tomorrow's temp is. It'll save you getting your hopes up just yet. My lp is 14 days but I had one cycle where I got to 16 dpo - I was sure I was pg but, of course, BFN. I really hope it's a BFP for you though.

I've now got 3 temps above my cover line I've had patchy EWCM for a few weeks so I can't count that but I did have pain (like period pain) a few days ago so maybe I have ov'd? Typically we didn't SWI near enough so not expecting a positive outcome. Unfortunately it now means AF is due on the day of the cremation. Not good.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend planned - I'm off to see harry potter tonight - woohoo!

xx mouse

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 20/11/2010 07:01

Not that I'm obsessing ladies, but not too sure what to think this morning. Temps still up above cover lines but today's is slightly lower. Yesterday's was 36.69 but I had been running around after DD since 4am and today's is 36.58. My coverline is 36.3. All my previous cycles are dropped below the coverline by now (I'm 12DPO) but not sure - perhaps my temps are taking a while to react?

I'm scared to get my hopes up cos I know I'll be disappointed.

Any comments?

spilttheteaagain · 19/11/2010 19:17

Glad you're enjoying it iwish! Grin

Looking good MrsA, fingers crossed here for you.

Terrys I've not used many OPKs but used to test around 4.30pm having not weed for about 2-3 hours. Managed 1 positive on the day I conceived. I had a couple of faint ones on the two days before this.

OP posts:
LadyGoneGaga · 19/11/2010 19:05

Maybe try doing one at 12pm and one at 8pm. I never really timed the pee holding and they worked fine. Would drink normally, just not excessively. Try getting to work and not having a pee until you test at lunchtime if you are concerned?

TerrysNo2 · 19/11/2010 18:52

Evening again! I wanted to ask you ladies about OPK testing. So LadyG I bought the ones you recommended as the others haven't worked for me but I also wanted to see how you all use them. The instructions are quite sketchy and just say "hold your pee" but not for how long etc and on another thread I read 4 hours. So...

  • if I am taking 2 a day what times do you recommend?
  • how long should I hold my pee for before taking one?
  • how much can I drink in this time?

I think that's it, unless you have any other important tips!! Thanks Smile

TerrysNo2 · 19/11/2010 17:19

oops, try again

Here

TerrysNo2 · 19/11/2010 17:18

Hello all!

MrsA looking good, fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Temps still the same - well 0.01 degrees different. Confused

Have gone off thread to get view of other BBT takers who might not be on here - [[http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1087373-BBT-takers-should-I-buy-a-new-thermometer here it is.

LadyGoneGaga · 19/11/2010 09:53

Good luck, MrsA. I agree it looks more ositive thn last month. Grin

digitalgirl · 19/11/2010 08:20

mrsa your luteal phase temp rise is looking much more consistent than last month. Think the acupuncture is working already.

battery ewcm? Going to Germany? Go for it just in case!

Welcome iwish

Temps low and cm non existent here, so no sign of eggy coming anytime soon. Have been for two runs already this week and plan on going swimming this weekend, am hoping a bit of regular exercise will encourage it.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 19/11/2010 07:02

Grrrr. 11 DPO Temps still going up but had broken sleep last night with DD, so have no idea if it's accurate as she was up at 4am!

Also I keep remembering that last cycle at 11DPO I had high temps but the day 12 it plummeted, so I'm on tenterhooks.

Iwish · 18/11/2010 21:37

split I have to say - I'm just starting to read the post about mr and mrs bonkers and it's absolutely hilarious!!!

Iwish · 18/11/2010 21:15

Hi battery thanks for the lovely welcome :)
I was looking at the clearblue ones on eBay earlier, think it was 35 quid for 20 and 5 early pg tests, not sure if that's good until I've looked around. Im also rubbish at holding my wee, i go every hour at work! Although i do drink quite a lot. Hope u enjoy your trip to Germany and don't behave yourself hehe.

Iwish · 18/11/2010 21:06

nickster 2 or 3 times a day flipping eck, I'll have to get myself off to eBay or amazon hehe! I'll have to see how this cycle pans out, will go n persuade the other half to do a bit more SWI to make sure we are covered for this month Wink

batteryhen · 18/11/2010 20:59

Hello all,

I am doing a qick post as I am off to germany tomorrow so I won't be around at the weekend:)

Welcome iwish - This is definitely the place to be for support and charting questions. With OPK's I use the clear blue ones - bought off amazon as its cheaper, but the reason I use these is because you can use them in the morning, as I absolutely cannot hold my bladder for 4 hours!! I would pop. I had a pelvic scan on monday and had to drink 2 pints of water before hand - I failed and got told off by the scan lady :(

split - definitley worth getting the book, you can get second hand ones from amazon and ebay.
terrys your temps are a bit odd - are you sure your thermometer is not playing up? but it might just be that you are the smae temp each day ...I seem to be cooking at the moment - am literally on fire every morning, but am trying to just go with it for now!
nicks big wave back - nice to see you lovely lady xx
MRSA - how did the needles go? I had my second session last week, and ov'd the next day - not saying they are related, but am coming round to the idea that it might do me some good:)

Well I have no idea what is going on with me ... according to FF I OV'd on Sunday (think I agree) but yesterday and today - have had lots or EWCM -more than I normally have. Am truely in the WTF cycle. All will become clear when I get AF.

Have a lovely weekend, I shall spend it under with DH so am very excited xxxx
