Hey all, I haven't been on this thread for a while because I started driving myself a bit insane about ttc and whether I'll ever get pg again. We saw the cons last week who was v suprised that 100mg of clomid hadn't worked and has put me on metformin which I have to take for at least a month before I try the clomid again. Mentally it's been good to have to take a break and I'm trying to use the time to get a bit healthier and lose some weight.

plumblusher i had some acupuncture during my last cycle of clomid and while it didn't help me conceive it definitely helped me to feel less stressed.

supersunny - glad you can take clomid soon. Are you starting with 50mg? I found I had minimal side effects on 50mg but I've had really bad headaches and v sore boobs (sorry, prob tmi) on 100mg

fairy it took 2 months in fact i conceived this month, i had spotting for weeks kept thinking it af. Hows the weight loss going? X

confu3ed · 11/10/2010 21:18

Hi everyone, hope you are all well :)

On round 4 of clomid 100 mgs now wondering if it will ever work for me. DH reckons I am worrying too much and should relax more....wish I could!

Ozzie - That is insane and I thought that the headaches weight gain and night sweats were bad!

Supersunny - At last you can take the tablets! My DH is sticking to a max of 3 pints, the doctor said that as little as 3 can mess up your sperm count for 100 days, i have gone with the theory that doctors always play it a bit too safe, so 3 pints it is.

Fairygodmother1 · 11/10/2010 19:25

Stac I forgot, how long did it take you to get pg on Met? I'm on day 20 (longer cycle than of recent times) but today I started to get watery blood/spotting. Too heavy for a panty liner but not really a towel needed, IYGWIM.
I don't feel pg...

plumblusher · 05/10/2010 04:40

Hi everyone,I've been ttc for 2 1/2yrs have secondary infertility and have been charting my temp since conceiving DD four years ago. currently on clomid on cycle three at the mo. had three Mc two before DD and one after. Feeling quite stressed and anxious about it all so booked some acupuncture sessions to try and chill me out! Desperate to feel like I'm doing something.

Shit, sorry Ozzie! Too self absorbed today Blush. Sorry about your awful side effects. I hope the next meds are better for you x

BrassicaBabe · 04/10/2010 21:41

Thanks guys. I need the virtual hug today. I'm def in the bleeding category now rather than spotting. I've also got a grinning opk, which I can't normally muster, but a low unfertile position cervix. Add that to not being able to raise the consultant and I'm driving myself quite mad!!

Fairygodmother1 · 04/10/2010 20:41

Ozzie sorry you've had a bad reaction - the first one |I think we've met on here.

Brassica I've had irregular bleeding once I'd finished clomid but no pregnancy. 8 months later & still trying to cope with the excessive bleeding! All scans & blood tests show that all blood cells are normal & linking of cervix is normal!!!

Oh wow Pops a boy!!!!

I'm just lurking on here as it's getting harder with all the bleeding, feels like I can reach my dream...

jobobpip08 · 04/10/2010 16:09

hi ozziesmom what an awful reaction to clomid. Can't help you with either question I'm afraid, but you're more than welcome to join us.

brassica I think it can be a side effect, (the internet search of clomid side effects says for 1% it can cause irregular bleeding)its not happened to me but hopefully one of the lovely ladies here will be along to reassure you. Definitely pester your consultant till you get an answer. And yes, if you were already spotting the sex may have irritated your cervix abit.

Babydust to both of you

Hi
Sorry, to hi-jack, but can any of you experts help me out? I'm having a panic and the consultant's secretary isn't there to answer the phone.

Ozziesmom · 03/10/2010 22:02

Hello everyone, wow what a thread!

Just a little warning guys but I had a serious reaction to Clomid day 4 into my first course, I had a seizure which came totally out of the blue and was very unwell for about 2 weeks. I didn't complete the course and my Dr very reluctant to consider alternatives (until I returned the clomid- I think he thought I was trying to hang on to Clomid plus get others off the NHS) So I am about to start Tamoxifen tomorrow which I am very, very nervous about. We have one beloved DS and we are not prepared to have another child at any cost, (but we would dearly love another).

I would love to hear from anyone who has had a similar experience, or any experience of tamoxifen.
many thanks

No idea either, seems way to early. I have come to realise that sometimes they don't know as much as us! Hmm

My cycles are longish too, the last two were 33 days. Not sure why they tested me on day 18 though.
