All my plans at getting organised in the last thread left me as I realised the thread with referrals was already up and running, so the one I set up I'll link to once the current one runs out!

Welcome one and all to this safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations Smile .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me). Also always happy to hear nominations for a thread title.

I'm usually strictly a lurker but wanted to share this as I think it's such a steal - Ed Kimber's 'Small Batch Bakes' book for £5.87 with free postage - RRP is £20.

I've got several of his books and really rate them, the recipes are always really original and tasty. I've bought a few copies of this for myself and some baking friends/family who live alone. Might also be good for students/new graduates as the ingredients for a smaller batch would be cheaper!

Thank you! Just ordered this for my brother and his fiancée as they like baking but are quite health conscious so don’t always like to eat everything!

I have borrow box on my (kids) kindle.

Fortnum do gluten free biscuits. If the goal is making sure they know good ones exist I'd start there.

A big yes to Fortnums! I'd rather have 1 tin of these than a hamper full of bits that just aren't good. It's obviously personal taste, I'm not a huge fan of the Schar items, their Maltesers are grim, but I havent tried the chocolate fingers yet. Tim Tams do 1 GF option, it's about £4 for 7 biscuits.

My son has asked for some Only & Sons Osjceres Wide Leg joggers in the light grey. On their own website they only have a khaki available and I can't seem to find them anywhere. He'll be 14 not long after Christmas and is autistic, this is the first time he's shown any interest in things like this so I'd love to get them for him. Is there anywhere else I should be trying to boys clothes like this?

hugsandpugs · 24/09/2026 11:27

Can I just check, anyone who ordered from the Baby Born sale, does your tracking work? I got a tracking email Sunday but the link doesn't work as it says the number is invalid (goes to dhl.de) and they haven't responded to my contact form yet.

Famousthehero · 24/09/2026 12:16

2 things of the Avon skin so soft for £4.40 if anybody is buying for travellers (it’s meant to be a good insect/mosquito repellent)

Omg…I can’t rate these dungarees highly enough. I live in mine in the winter. I treated myself (as you do!) to a denim pair and a corduroy pair. A bit of a splurge, but they will last years! Quality is A+

More of a question I’m afraid, my son had spoken constantly about the Lego Harbour set (60422). Its way over budget really, just planning ahead does anyone have a clues/intel as to whether it goes under £100 on Black Friday etc?

There's a few on eBay for under £100. New and pre=owned

hugsandpugs · 24/09/2026 12:47

Has anyone heard anything about their starfish project orders yet?

What are these like quality wise? I was going to get some for my dad (he's housebound and this is all he wears). I got some Jack Jones ones from M&S last year.

Mine I think was delivered to my neighbour yesterday (been away) - I have the Shop app and it tracks on there . Delivered by DPD

Mumbythesea1 · 24/09/2026 13:26

Sorry to ask for another ridiculously difficult thing to find!
we went to Spain on holiday this year and DS wanted to get some panini la liga megacracks football cards. Going abroad is a relatively new thing for us with two autistic children. Unfortunately, due to my error in understanding, we missed the shop before we went through security. He was so upset and I felt terrible.
is there somewhere I can get these sent to England? Has anyone managed to do this without buying from AliExpress or similar?
or does anyone live in Spain and would post some over if I gave you the money?
i think this would make his Christmas!!

Have you tried the actual panini uk website?

Nomdeplumeforthis1 · 24/09/2026 14:01

@hugsandpugsi got a confirmation order from starfish and it’s showing in my shop account

@Mumbythesea1have you tried Vinted? I’ve had some very random football specialist things from there before

I have no idea, I hadn't heard of this brand before, I was just trying to help the original poster who said they were out of stock. I just quickly googled them and they came up in stock, also available at asos.
They are quite reasonably priced if they are a new trend etc, the teens I know have all been wearing iets frans harri joggers which are double the price

TheBigFish · 24/09/2026 14:11

My Starfish order arrived Tuesday. The items are really lovely so thanks to the PP who flagged the sale.

Bit of a random one but my local Lidl has got some electric pencil sharpeners in at the moment for £3.99. Bought one for my 8 year old daughter and she was so delighted with it, I wish I'd saved it for her stocking! Might be a fun extra present for any arty crafty types, especially if you're like us and can never locate a pencil sharpener when you really need one...

This is a great shout; I put one in my son’s stocking a couple of years ago and he loves it - also blu-tac 🤷‍♀️
