We have Judge saucepans and they are great. Had them 15 years or so. We have broken one or 2 lids by accident (glass smashed) but you can get replacement lids which is handy.

Any good gluten free bargains? My DD was recently diagnosed celiac and I want to get her some bits / make her a basket of stuff but want a good bargain

Speaking as a fellow celiac, I'd concentrate more on the taste than the bargainous price if possible, so much GF food is rubbish and costs so much already, to get good versions of things tou do have to pay more them unfortunately. There's going to be rhe odd thing you can find thats a diamond in the rough, but it's definitely trial and error.

With Coeliac I find Schar is always a winner. If you wait a bit, Tesco and Asda will have their stuff in and they do the best festive GF things at a decent price (for GF). Also check out the gluten free Christmas guide by Beck Excell. She does a supermarket guide to what's in each supermarket and includes items that are 'accidentally Gluten free' that are normal prices. For example, Aldi does some amazing Christmas crisps and they're accidentally GF :)

Moser Roth chocolate from Aldi is delicious, but look for any other edibles with no gluten containing ingredients. So if on the list of ingredients it says 'contains' or 'may contain' wheat, rye, oats or barley' or it says 'made in a factory which makes gluten containing ingredients', march on swiftly....

Many coeliacs, including me, are not able to tolerate much gluten free oats. I can eat a few biscuits which contain gf oats, but then have a reaction.

My boys - older teens & 20s- all still love a bit of Lego at Xmas. Keep an eye out for the bonsai tree (lovely) or similar, or the city scape 18+ ones like Paris/ New York/ London, they're lovely & small enough to be on a shelf in a room

Gluten free food can be hard to adjust to if you’re newly diagnosed - largely because it tastes awful 😂 so I’d focus on getting a few quality items rather than aiming for a bargain. M&S have some really tasty things in their range (their chocolate chip cookies are the nearest thing to a normal tasting biscuit!), Becky Excel recipe books are good if she’s up for baking things herself. The jus roll gluten free pastry tastes pretty good. Schar is a good brand. Plus don’t forget lots of sweets and chocolate are naturally gluten free
