Thread 3 - the one where things get serious

All my plans at getting organised in the last thread left me as I realised the thread with referrals was already up and running, so the one I set up I'll link to once the current one runs out!

Welcome one and all to this safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations Smile .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

Just a heads up, these things were included, along with the airer and other things, when I activated the voucher this morning. By the time I got to the shop, they had disappeared from the list, so obviously a blip!

Still, I got £5 dishwasher tablets for free, and well done @RappelChoan for grabbing the bargain!

For those who bought from the Starfish sale, I had an email from them today apologising for the delay and saying they’d had a huge number of orders (that’s probably us!) and are shipping them out as fast as they can.

Sorry to ask for another ridiculously difficult thing to find!
we went to Spain on holiday this year and DS wanted to get some panini la liga megacracks football cards. Going abroad is a relatively new thing for us with two autistic children. Unfortunately, due to my error in understanding, we missed the shop before we went through security. He was so upset and I felt terrible.
is there somewhere I can get these sent to England? Has anyone managed to do this without buying from AliExpress or similar?
or does anyone live in Spain and would post some over if I gave you the money?
i think this would make his Christmas!!

I can second this - and the mat to stand on is a great little extra - it makes a huge difference when its cold....

Pritt stick and a magazine and scissors - I know you can’t do that - but could you get a box with pictures of Spiderman or someone on that has a lid and put things in he can use like pens, glue, paper, colouring, stickers, maybe a book and maybe some small pots of playdoh or kinetic sand ? The Works is good for bits like this or the stationery bit of Home Bargains / B&M. He could then use it through the year and also refill it.

@jaminsurrey my DC had little playsets when they were that age that I found in a charity shop and ended up being played with for years. They were a little wooden tray with coloured sand in and a miniature spade, bucket, beach chair etc. I can’t remember what they were called but will have a look online later and see if I can find them!

I can’t remember who was looking for Air Up bottles but I have three that have had barely any use and would be happy to post them out. The black is a little more marked but the blue ones are in pretty good shape. My DCs weren’t allowed them at their schools and have moved to metal ones now.

There are some lovely dry robes in the Passenger outlet and EXTRA20 gives an extra 20% outlet until 30/09. They have really nice fleeces, coats etc too

Vouchers and experiences are the obvious choice, but if you don’t fancy them what about consumables, pens, colouring books, stickers, , self drying clay. Would he care about a photo album? I know some 4 year olds who would love to see themselves as babies and with all their family and some who would wonder why you’ve bothered. Books would be my choice for mine, but again a lot of 4 year olds I know would be disappointed.

Not sure if quoting is working but for @Wellwhatalovelyday a thing that I learned from this thread last year that blew my mind is that everything after the ? in a long link is unnecessary and you can just delete it and the link will still function. Apparently everything after the ? just describes the route you took to get there or something (you can tell I am not techy!)
