All my plans at getting organised in the last thread left me as I realised the thread with referrals was already up and running, so the one I set up I'll link to once the current one runs out!

Welcome one and all to this safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations Smile .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me). Also always happy to hear nominations for a thread title.

I can second this - and the mat to stand on is a great little extra - it makes a huge difference when its cold....

Yup,

DS1 is a surfer & loves his inc mat. He was so impressed he bought his gf one & I bought for my cold water loving niece. So cosy.

XiCi · 25/09/2026 16:24

Ive just bought a couple of the scrawler boxes, great bargain and my dd will love them. Free postage too. Thanks for posting.

smootholive · 25/09/2026 16:10

**£50 spend

smootholive · 25/09/2026 16:10

I don’t need the Argos code now but it won’t let me edit my original code. There was only one pokopia left so I wasn’t risking the switch 2 deal. For others that are also asking. I redownloaded the app and it sent me through a £5 off a £59 spend code about 10 minutes later.

VeruccaSalty · 25/09/2026 16:03

Argh dont make my mistake you get free postage over £15 on scrawlr box and I only noticed as I hit purchase on £10 plus £5 p&p. I could have had another box. D'oh

MaybeItsJustTimeToStop · 25/09/2026 15:41

That link was actually yo a specific box, this is to the sale boxes Scrawlr Sale – ScrawlrBox https://share.google/qM8EtZN1AQE8fH1St

If you’re near a Peacocks, my local one has loads of reduced Christmas gifts and jewellery. Socks, hot water bottles etc all half price. The item I actually wanted wasn’t in stock but I ordered online and there is 20% off for My Peacocks customers. Might help someone out!

I am also wondering if anyone has an Argos code going please, I also have £300+ order.

Has anyone on here received their BabyBorn stuff? I know some ordered before me. My order is showing as complete so I have contacted them as still unable to track.

I have just posted about this, I rang them and they said orders are taking longer that normal to get dispatched because the sale.

ByFirmShaker · 25/09/2026 15:16

To anyone who made baby born orders:

I just spoke to them on the phone and they couldn't have been any nicer, or more helpful. They said the DHL.de emails have been sent in error, and orders are taking 7-10 working days to be dispatched at the moment because they've had so many orders with the sale.

I ordered Sunday and my order hasn't been picked yet. They said to disregard the initial dispatch email and when orders are actually dispatched proper tracking will be provided.

Contact number was 01702 208171.

Tubs of Heroes and Quality Street £3.89 in Aldi.

Also now in stock in my local small M&S food hall, tubs of Big Mix £12 & the Cranberry bucks fizz £5 (neither bargainous but went out of stock very quickly round my way last year).

smootholive · 25/09/2026 14:54

Does anyone have an Argos code they could pm me please. I have a £300+ spend

Lidlisthebusiness · 25/09/2026 14:49

Does anyone have an Argos code they won't be needing please? I've nearly £300 in my basket the moment, so anything to bring that down a vut would be great.

Argos have some good deals at the moment, with TOYS30 and BDAY25 taking extra off of some things. There's some fab deals on clothing too, I'm just looking through baby bits and they've some 3 packs of sleepsuits, 5 packs of t-shirts etc. for around £3 a pack. Sizes are limited in those, but great if you can get something to suit!

It wouldn’t be the Christmas thread if hoards of mumsnetters weren’t pushing small businesses to their limit. 😂

It’s like last year with the glasses cleaning cloths!

A very specific question but my DS loves fudge, and I wondered if anyone knew of places to buy it that doesn’t have the Glucose syrup in it please? I have tried so called ‘artisan, homemade places’ but they all seem to use it.TIA

For all those wanting to get into the Xmas spirit, the Heart Christmas radio station has come online. I am listening to when a child was born 🎄🧑‍🎄

On the same theme, if anyone has Audible then the new Mistletoe Murders instalment is out on 5th Nov.. it's free with your subscription.
If you like audiobooks and Hallmark movies and cosy crime you will love it (the Hallmark TV show is based on the audiobooks) .

Bed123 · 25/09/2026 12:16

I’ve just been into Morrisons and the slush puppie slushie maker is down to £10, checked online and they are around £35 elsewhere. Might not be the weather for slushies at Christmas but my kids won’t care!

HoneyPea · 25/09/2026 12:15

@lemoncurdcupcake@AnothercakeThank you both. I’ve just purchased to go with the book 😊

could anyone who bought the flower glue gun confirm if the plug is a UK one or not? Looked at the pictures and it looks like a 2 pin one

Yes, I can also confirm it's UK plug 😊
