All my plans at getting organised in the last thread left me as I realised the thread with referrals was already up and running, so the one I set up I'll link to once the current one runs out!

Welcome one and all to this safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations Smile .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me). Also always happy to hear nominations for a thread title.

I haven’t seen these before - are they art supplies and blank paper or is the illustration shown on the pack actually included to copy? Paint by numbers? They look lovely but i am just not sure ! TIA!

This was what was in one i got last year. It had a print with info about the artist on the back, a magazine with tips and techniques for using charcoal, a book of card and the charcoal so you could try using the tips and techniques to recreate the artists image or make your own.

ah great news what date did you order?

19 Sep (Saturday). One item refunded as it had gone out of stock and I've had that refund already. Wasn't an issue as that was an impulse addition :)

Cos1970 · 25/09/2026 20:08

I don’t know if this is the price mentioned the other day but I bought a tub of Quality Street from Sainsbury’s for £3.95 with my Nectar card. They also had Celebrations I think it was and Roses discounted with a nectar card.

Yes, I think a few art supplies and plain paper from the description of the one I read - feels very expensive for what you get.

@User202242 no condensed milk only contains milk and sugar 😊

@IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece and @groovejet thank you so much! I will have a look now 💐

A very specific question but my DS loves fudge, and I wondered if anyone knew of places to buy it that doesn’t have the Glucose syrup in it please? I have tried so called ‘artisan, homemade places’ but they all seem to use it.TIA

I found here - they say their fudge is made without glucose or palm oil. Never tried fudge from there, but they seem to have good reviews

Thank you, ordered 3 for DS who loves art.

And I ordered 2 for DD who's similar!

Scrawlbox past boxes reduced some as low as £5, usually about £25, good if you have teenagers or adults who like art supplies.

I ordered on Sunday, not arrived yet

Did you see someone has phoned them? Similar response that I got to my email that they are taking longer due to more sale orders. So hopefully all good!

Your problem may be the condensed milk ... I believe that contains glucose and a key component, well it is in homemade I make

If it helps, I have just given all three of our boys’ AirUps to a charity shop.
They are an absolute PIG to clean, with multiple parts, get mouldy in the mouthparts and lid very easily, are a faff to dismantle and reassemble, and the pods are ruinously expensive. Somehow the company got us all paying for flavoured air which is a marketing bonanza in fairness.
The boys were desperate to get them a couple of years ago but they (and I) couldn’t maintain any enthusiasm in the face of the maintenance effort and costs.

Yes I’m not keen - difficult to clean and you have to keep buying the pods, because we discovered if we tried to use my son’s without a pod (just as a normal bottle) it leaked.

A lot of plastic waste too.
My son does like the flavours, so if you find you struggle to get them to drink enough water you may be happy with them. Just get a decent set of cleaning brushes!

Has anyone on here received their BabyBorn stuff? I know some ordered before me. My order is showing as complete so I have contacted them as still unable to track.

Suggestions for presents for 4 year old boy who has everything he could ever ask for?
Struggling with my nephew. Reluctant to buy vouchers or experiences.

What sort of price range - The new gruffalo granny book? It was half price for the hardback on Amazon and might still be. Board games, card games like dobble or Uno, umbrella,
Or pricier - magnatiles (keep an eye out for deals on Amazon),

Floopsy · 25/09/2026 17:02

Thanks to the poster that gave the link to the Scrawlr boxes. I got two for DS's art-mad girlfriend and two for DB's very talented partner. Fab presents.

VeruccaSalty · 25/09/2026 16:45

Scrawlr let me cancel and reorder which was so kind of them. I added a couple more boxes for the present cupboard
