All my plans at getting organised in the last thread left me as I realised the thread with referrals was already up and running, so the one I set up I'll link to once the current one runs out!

Welcome one and all to this safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations Smile .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me). Also always happy to hear nominations for a thread title.

@jaminsurrey someone bought my DD a till that beeps and she is so thrilled with it. There are normally a few children, boys and girls, wanting to use them at the local role play place. Or YY to magnetic tiles.

Can you ask? I know my SIL would rather be bought duplicate gifts than have the mental load of present ideas for their own children, but I always have an Amazon list of gift-sized things for my own children (in the £5-£20 bracket) in the hope that they will ask me instead of buying something we don’t want. Just depends on the parents - I used to say “do you have anything specific in mind or are you happy for me to do whatever I want”. Now I don’t even ask.

Not a bargain butMenKind have pre order available for the scrunchems advent calendar.
I haven’t been able to get DD a Needoh one but I think she will love this one.
I subscribed to the newsletter to get 10% off which essentially made the delivery 50p.

TK Maxx usually has a good selection of wallets.
I picked one up in M&S last year for DH so also worth a look there

I'll look at both of these. Thanks.

hugsandpugs · Today 00:07

@Carrie76 @beansoup thanks both! I’ve ordered them. Managed to get 10% off too so even better bargain alongside some other things. I also went through everup to create a gift card so I’ll get 7% cashback 💕

The sale is worth a look I managed to get quite a bit for just over £55 and free delivery. The code for the extra 10% off is MTL2609NX

Looking for a leather wallet for DS2 (19). He lost his wallet out clubbing at uni in the week 🫣. He says he fancies a leather one & not the sports type he's had previously, so said I'd buy him a leather one as a little early birthday gift (Nov).

I don't want to spend £££ in case he loses it again at some point. Anyone seen anything/ suggestions?

TIA

Just wondered if anyone has seen a collapsible Christmas Eve box anywhere? I usually see them all the time but as soon as I want one I haven’t seen any.

Also not Christmas related but has anyone seen anyone Halloween hot chocolate bombs? I usually do a Halloween hot chocolate station which I then change to a Christmas one but the usual places of B&M and Home Bargain's have the stirrers but not the bombs.

Were you logged in when you checked out?

I must have been as they had all my details.

Also today I opened the app to be told ‘you have 32.57 in points’. Great. I ordered a fair number of things then when I checked out got the message ‘if you had an advantage card registered you would have made £1.26’. So what happened to the initial advantage card that had £32 in points?? Feckers. Look Fantastic from now on.

I dream of one day seeing someone buy one of those in store and then watch them get it in their car. I always imagined you'd get some help from the Costco staff but when we bought one of their ex-display nutcracker guys they just shrugged and left us to it.

We bought a lemon tree there, but they’re not quite as big as the olive trees 😂

This happens to me too. I seem to have some kind of ghost card registered.

I’m annoyed at boots. The recycling scheme is now 2 transactions 1 for each voucher. Fine. But you can’t open the second voucher on the same day. Ass hats

Found these bargain fleece lined style crocs on Matalan was looking to order them for my DD but I’m wondering if someone can help me with the sizing. Would the 5-6 be like an adults size 5-6 do you think? I’m assuming that’s what it means but wanted to double check with someone who’s brain is working better than mine tonight 🙈😂

Looking at the size guide, I'd say yes to being like adult size 5/6

I would assume its size 38-39 so adults. The kids ones say infants beside the size. At least that would be my understanding.

Suggestions for presents for 4 year old boy who has everything he could ever ask for?
Struggling with my nephew. Reluctant to buy vouchers or experiences.

Lego, magnetic tiles (literally you can’t have too many), consumables like bath bombs, art supplies like air dry clay (you can get a cool dinosaur modelling kit in airdry clay). Or a new one of something favourite that has fallen apart?

@QuaintGreenFawn I used to love Kate Spade but the quality has gone seriously downhill 🥺 nothing seems to last very long from there anymore. So sad as I still enjoy the style.
